Abstract

IKM S is one of the small and medium enterprises (SMEs) in the food sector, particularly focusing on the production of soy sauce, chili sauce, and vinegar. One of the challenges faced in its supply chain is the shortage of bottle raw materials from suppliers, resulting in reduced production and a high number of returned products due to expiration. This research aims to identify the risks in the supply chain and determine strategies to address these issues. The research methodology used is quantitative descriptive, employing the Supply Chain Operation Reference (SCOR) method to identify risk events and House Of Risk (HOR) for mitigation strategies. The study's findings indicate 21 risk events and 19 risk agents. In HOR 1, severity levels of risk events, occurrence frequencies of risk agents, and the relationship between risk events and agents were measured, resulting in an Aggregate Risk Potential value. Four risk agents causing issues in operational activities were identified. HOR 2 identified four preventive actions and prioritized mitigation based on the effectiveness versus implementation difficulty ratios of these actions for the company.

Abstract

Dryer is one of the production equipment that plays an important role in the production process because it is a production motor. Dryer itself functions to dry ORE material from Wet Of Storage to Dryer Of Storage. From the assessment carried out, an indication of thinning of the Shell wall was found which is at risk of damage to production equipment. Therefore, the replacement of the Shell Dryer feed end must be done. This study aims to analyze project performance and how the impact is based on the results of project performance. Data analysis in this study uses the Earned Value Management (EVM) method. The results showed that the project performance in terms of time (Schedulle Performace Index) was 0.70 <1, meaning that the performance of the project implementation was delayed and from the cost aspect (Cost Performance Index) of 1.17>1, meaning that the costs incurred were smaller than the planning. Furthermore, calculations are carried out for the remaining work (Estimate to complete) and the estimated total cost and time of the entire project. The remaining work is expected to cost $1,466,391.70 for 10 days so that the total cost (Estimate At Completation) is expected to be $6,307,566.02 for 33 days. So it can be concluded that the process of replacing the feed end shell Dryer is delayed due to many factors, one of which is the project area which is a limited area.

Abstract

Soy milk is an alternative drink to replace cow's milk, and it is popular because it is highly nutritious. The availability of market opportunities for this substitute product is the basis for designing a business development strategy for Saridele Segan MSMEs through a SWOT analysis approach and the Boston Consulting Group (BCG) matrix. This study aims to formulate strategies and evaluate product positions in a business portfolio based on relative market share and market growth rate. SWOT analysis is used to identify the strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats faced by this MSME. At the same time, the BCG matrix helps determine the optimal strategy for products in the Stars, Cash Cows, Question Marks, and Dogs categories. The study results indicate that Saridele Segan MSMEs are in quadrant 1 of the SWOT matrix and quadrant II of the Question Mark BCG group. The selected strategy refers to the SO strategy. Namely, an aggressive strategy to expand the market by maximizing the potential of superior products through the exploitation of Cash Cows to support investment in Question Marks and increase competitiveness through product innovation and operational efficiency. The integrated SWOT and BCG approach provides a practical strategic framework for the sustainability of Saridele MSMEs in a more competitive market.

Abstract

Designing the most effective performance measurement system used in an educational organization is not easy. Given that there are not many other studies that use the BSC and Performance prism methods simultaneously. Performance prism has several advantages including identifying stakeholders from many interested parties, such as owners and investors, suppliers, customers, workers, government, and the surrounding community. While BSC identifies stakeholders only from the stakeholder and customer side. The purpose of this study will be to design a performance measurement system by integrating the three methods, namely BSC and Performance prism for stakeholder satisfaction, as a consideration of strategic decisions will use the Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP) method. The results of the study showed that the achievement of organizational performance was in the yellow category because it was in the index range of 4-8, which means that the organization's performance has not yet achieved the expected performance/not optimal. The achievement in the green category, it is in the index range of 8-10, which means that the organization's performance shows that STT Migas Balikpapan has good performance results so it needs to be maintained.

Abstract

A study was conducted to investigate the effect of variation in holding time during the hardening process on the hardness of leaf spring steel. Used leaf spring steel is widely utilized as raw material for the manufacturing of hand tools by blacksmiths through hardening processes. Hardening is a heat treatment method aimed at enhancing the hardness of a material. The hardening process involves heating the material to a specific temperature (austenitizing temperature), holding it for a certain period, and then rapidly cooling it. This study aims to investigate the effect of variations in austenitizing holding time, specifically 30 seconds, 40 seconds, 45 seconds, 50 seconds, and 60 seconds, on the hardness value of leaf spring steel. The leaf spring steel material is subjected to heat treatment at an austenitizing temperature of 900°C, followed by quenching in oil. Hardness testing is performed using the Hardness Rockwell B (HRB) method. The results of the study indicate that hardening can enhance the hardness properties of leaf spring steel; however, as the holding time increases, the hardness level tends to decrease. The highest average hardness value was recorded at a holding time of 45 seconds, with a hardness value of 121 HRB.

Abstract

Tourists who enjoy the panoramic beauty of the underwater Namanalu beach, "Lobang Buaya" from a traditional boat are disturbed by problems: refraction of vision, reflection of sunlight into the eyes, and protection against heat and rain. The tour boat transportation service sales group wants to overcome this problem and even intends to provide night tour services. Research using this quantitative descriptive method has revealed the concept of innovative design as a solution to the problem of traditional boats, tourism facilities. Panoramic boxes and boat roofs are a solution to the problem of refraction of views, reflections and protection of tourists against rain and heat, while the underwater lighting system is a solution for opportunities for tourist services at night.

Abstract

One way to reduce the rate of corrosion on ships is to use zinc anodes. The weight of the zinc anode plays an important role in determining how much zinc anode must be installed on the wet surface of the ship to withstand the rate of corrosion. This study aims to obtain protection against corrosion rates by analyzing data on the use of zinc anodes in the field and data on the use of zinc anodes from calculations. To determine the ability of the installed zinc anode, data on the last 5 years of corrosion rates from 3 ships and the amount of zinc anodes used each year are needed. The results obtained show that there was no addition of zinc anodes on ship 1 in the 4th year to the 5th year of 64,046 kg, the highest corrosion rate reached 0.1708 mm/year, while on ship 2, with the addition of zinc anode weight of 25,704 kg the corrosion rate decreased in the 5th year to 0.0317 mm/year. On ship 3 in the 4th year with the addition of zinc anode weight of 45,868 kg the corrosion rate decreased to 0.0138 mm/year.
