The Universitas Muhammadiyah Malang published Manajemen Bisnis (MB) journal in 2011. Start in December 2018, the MB journal has online ISSN 2655-2523 for articles that publish started from Volume 9 No. 1, April 2019. Then, start from Volume 9 No. 2. MB journal has been accredited for SINTA 4. MB journal is a peer-reviewed and open-access journal published twice a year (April and October). This journal published articles in Bahasa but in 2019 MB journal published all articles in English. This journal only accepts articles from original research results. MB journal welcomes all articles related to management and business fields. Subjects suitable for publication include financial management, marketing management, human resource management, operation management, strategic management, entrepreneurship, business ethics, and international business. Manajemen Bisnis journal has been indexed in Google Scholar and DOAJ. MB journal keeps an attempt to be indexed in other journal directories.

Gabungan Pengusaha Nasional Angkatan Sungai, Danau & Penyebrangan (GAPASDAP)e-mail: abdillah278@gmail.comABSTRACTPecking order theory is a theory that emphasizes the manager chooses to use retained earnings tofund the company rather than debt and the last alternative new shares issued. This study aims todetermine the influence of asymmetric information, investment opportunity, profitability and dividendon the company’s leverage. Type of data used are secondary data which are reported in the company’sfinancial ratios during the study period in 2006-2009. Results showed that mean of the variableasymmetric information, investment opportunity, profitability and dividend influence simultaneouslyto the leverage of company. Analysis tool used ClusterAnalysis. Its using two assumptions as the benchmark of a good cluster that is to have an internalhomogeneity (within clusters); the similarities between member in one cluster and external heterogeneity(the between clusters), i.e. the difference between a single cluster with the other clusters. Analysislifestyle Blackberry cell phone users conducted on students at Muhammadiyah University ofMalang used questionnaires. The results shows three lifestyle groups, namely fulfilled, believer andmaker groups. Based on those results, it can be used as a guidance for performing the segmentationinto marketers, especially marketers of Blackberry mobile phones.Keywords: lifestyle, cluster analysis, fulfilled, believer, maker

Abstract

The research was conducted in IslamicPrivate Hospital Malang and include 140 peoples as respondents. Questionnaires used as an instrumentfor collecting data. The analyses method uses Rank scale and product moment correlation. Theresults of research show that the organizational commitment is in good conditions as well as organizationalclimate. Whereas, the conditions of employee’ job satisfaction is in the high level satisfied. Basedon the product moment show that the relationship between both organizational commitment and climateto the employee’ job satisfaction are in the strong level. It means that all employees in Islamic PrivateHospital are having strong organizational commitment and feeling satisfaction when they are working.It is also the organizational climate, it supports to make employee enjoy their working.Keywords: organizational commitment and organizational climate, employee’ job satisfaction, IslamicPrivate Hospital Malang.

Then it is also to know the correlation of consumer’s perceptionof Halal label. Analyses method used multiple linier regression. Consumer’s perception variablesinclude attention, understanding and memory. The result of analysis show that consumer’s perception(attention, understanding and memory) of Halal label simultaneously influence to decision of purchasingon energy beverage product. There are two independent variables partially significant influence todecision of purchasing. Two variables are attention and memory. The correlation coefficient for attention,understanding and memory variables with decision of purchasing variable is in strong level. Itexemplified those attention, understanding and memory variables are very strong correlation to decisionof purchasing.Keywords: perception, halal label, decision of purchasing

The first research purpose is finding out entrepreneurship spirit consisted of self confidence,task and result orientation, risk taking, leadership, originality, and orientation for future. Second, tofind out individual characteristics consisted of sex, age, business time length, education, and income.Third, is to find out entrepreneurship spirit from individual characteristic in detail. Analytical tools usedare scale rank analysis and cross tabulation. The result of research show that the entrepreneurshipspirit consist of self confidence, task and result orientation, risk taking, leadership, originality, andorientation for future are carried out in home business. Abstract

Dwikarya Indonesia MandiriE-mail: novipl_biru2511@yahoo.co.idABSTRACTThe purpose of this study is to obtain empirical evidence of whether the acquirers perform earningsmanagement prior to implementation of the acquisition. This type of research is a comparative studywhich compares the financial performance before and after the company making acquisitions. Analysisof financial performance is using financial ratios, including profitability, and activity. The results ofdata analysis shows that there was no indication of earnings management before the acquisitions conductedby the acquirer with Increasing income accruals. Furthermore, the company’s financial performanceas measured by the ratio of total asset turnover, net profit margin, returns on assets after theacquisition has a difference in the negative direction. The conclusion is that the acquirers before theacquisition are not convicted of earnings management with increasing income accrual. Acquirer’s financialperformance before and after the acquisitions have a difference, but the condition of thecompany is in sound condition.Keywords: Acquisitions, earnings management, financial performance

Abstract

ABSTRACTThis study basically aims to analyze the influence of corporate culture and transformational leadership styles onorganizational commitment and employee performance in PPPPTK/VEDC Malang. In addition, analyze organizationalcommitment mediates the influence of corporate culture and transformational leadership styles on employeeperformance. The population of this study are Civil Servants and the sample size is 78 employees. Data collectionuses the questionnaire (set of written questions addressed to the respondent) and analyses method is Path Analysis.The results show that the corporate culture significantly influences to organizational commitment, whereas transformationalleadership style does not. Corporate culture, transformational leadership style and organizational commitmentinfluence to the performance of employees. Organizational commitment may mediate the influence of corporateculture on employee’s performance, but organizational commitment is not able to mediate the influence oftransformational leadership styles to the employee performance.Keywords: corporate culture, transformational leadership, commitment, employee performance

PT.Telekomunikasi Indonesia applies HRIS as a mean to conduct efficiency and to communication improvementamong its employee, so that HRD staff can be more focus at more strategic HRD activity. Thisresearch uses holistic single case study to answer four research questions. First question is about HRISusage in company. The implications of applying HRIS for HRM practice, the implication for employeeempowerment, the implication for knowledge sharing. Data collection is conducted over various datasources such as observation, interview, documentation, archival record, triangulation, and evaluation.The result of this research has indicated that HRIS application has supported company’s goal. Though itwas not represented yet the ideal applications and still in improvement process, but the existent is supportemployee’s work. The HRIS can be classified as integrated, interactive, context-sensitive self-direct byweb access types. Applying HRIS gives a positive influence on employee empowerment in the company.Some methods and processes in HRM practice are online. Applying give the easiness to do the knowledgesharing so that all employees are able to access all knowledge they required any time.Keywords: Human Resource Information System, Human Resource Management practice, employeeempowerment, knowledge sharing.

This study uses samples of 100 respondents,the type of data used in the primary. Data collection techniques using questionnaires andmultiple linear regression analysis tool. The results demonstrated that the factor of price, satisfactionand quality simultaneously and partially have influence over purchasing decisions. All three of thesefactors, the most dominant influence on purchase decisions is the price factor.Keywords: price, customer satisfaction and quality.

The purpose is to determinethe exact amount of production in July, August and September 2011 which having minimize cost ofproduction. Analysis method is the Linear Programming Simplex Method approach. The method oflinear programming is a mathematical method or technique that is used to assist managers in makingdecisions regarding the determination of the amount of labor, raw materials, capital machinery andworking hours. Based on the method of Linear Programming, it can be known that the amount ofnormal production in July 2011 at 120.404 units, the number of normal production in August 2011 at118.800 units and the amount of overtime production in August 2011 at 8.325 units, the number ofnormal production of 123.987 units in September 2011 and the company bear the total production costat least Rp. 114. 840. 069, -.Keywords: total production, production cost, minimization.
