The Universitas Muhammadiyah Malang published Manajemen Bisnis (MB) journal in 2011. Start in December 2018, the MB journal has online ISSN 2655-2523 for articles that publish started from Volume 9 No. 1, April 2019. Then, start from Volume 9 No. 2. MB journal has been accredited for SINTA 4. MB journal is a peer-reviewed and open-access journal published twice a year (April and October). This journal published articles in Bahasa but in 2019 MB journal published all articles in English. This journal only accepts articles from original research results. MB journal welcomes all articles related to management and business fields. Subjects suitable for publication include financial management, marketing management, human resource management, operation management, strategic management, entrepreneurship, business ethics, and international business. Manajemen Bisnis journal has been indexed in Google Scholar and DOAJ. MB journal keeps an attempt to be indexed in other journal directories.

Abstract

This study aims to determine 1) Effect of supervision of principals on work motivation of teachers in SMA Negeri 1 Maumere. 2) The effect of compensation on work motivation of teachers in SMA Negeri 1 Maumere. 3) Effect of supervision of principals on teacher performance in SMA Negeri 1 Maumere. 4) Effect of compensation to the performance of teachers in SMA Negeri 1 Maumere. 5) The effect of work motivation on teacher performance in SMA Negeri 1 Maumere. 6) Role of Motivation as a mediating influence supervision of principals on teacher performance in SMA Negeri 1 Maumere. 7) The role of motivation to work as a mediating influence of compensation on teacher performance in SMA Negeri 1 Maumere. Analysis of the data used in the study using Path Analysis (path analysis) which is the application of multiple regression using the path diagram as a guide t test the hypothesis testing as a basis for decision making in determining the direct and indirect effects of research dependent and independent variables.

Abstract

The purpose of the study describes the incentive, motivation and performance of employees at PT. Jiwasraya Malang Branch Office City, analyzed the effect of incentives on employee performance with motivation as a moderating variable. Sample research is a marketing agent assosiate amounting. Sampling using Total Sampling technique.. Simple linear regression analysis to determine the effect between incentive variable and employee performance. Moderate analysis to find out the moderation relationship between the influence of incentives on employee performance. The results showed that employee performance in very low category, incentives enter in good category and motivation included in low category. Incentives affect employee performance. Motivation variable moderate the influence of incentive to employee performance. Moderate variables increase the percentage of influence of employee incentives and performance which means motivation strengthen the influence of incentives on employee performance.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilakukan atas dasar adanya peningkatan jumlah toko retail online yang ada diindonesia, hal ini membuat persaingan dalam pasar online semakin kompetitif. Perusahaan dituntut tidak hanya dapat menyediakan bermacam – macam produk yang dibutuhkan, namun perusahaan juga harus mampu menyediakan website yang baik dan dapat menarik perhatian konsumen. Kegiatan berbelanja tidak dapat terlepas dari motivasi yang mendasarinya dan satu motivasi itu adalah motivasi hedonic dimana motivasi merupakan motivasi belanja untuk mendapatkan kesenangan semata. Ketika seseorang berbelanja secara hedonic, tanpa sadar dia akan melakukan sikap impulse buying atau pembelian tidak terencana. Motivasi hedonik dan sikap impulse buying merupakan prilaku konsumen yang sangat menguntungkan perusahaan. tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh kualitas website terhadap motivasi hedonic dan sikap impulse buying pada website MatahariMall.com. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuantitatif dengan menyebarkan questioner kepada 100 orang pelanggan MatahariMall.com. Analisis data menggunakan Struktural Equation Model ( SEM ). Hasil analisis data menyimpulkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh yang signifikan antara kualitas website terhadap hedonic shopping motivation dan impulse buying.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the supplier of frozen chicken at CV. Cupu Artama Jaya, Jombang Regency. The purpose of this research is to determine the supplier at CV. Cupu Artama Jaya, Jombang Regency.  According to the result of criteria selection, there are seven criteria used by the company, which are quality, price, delivery time, communication system, packing capability, warranty and complaint service, and management and organization. All of these categories range from very important, important, and sufficient. There are three suppliers selected according to the seven criteria, PT. Wonokoyo, UD. Puri Pangan, and UD. Phalosari. The findings show that UD. Phalosari has the greatest value of 76.89, PT. Wonokoyo gets 72.96, and the last UD. Puri Pangan gets 69.98. referring to this, UD. Phalosari is highly recommended to be the main supplier for the company.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is, to describe the characteristics of personality, autocratic leadership, and the performance of the employee. The next is, to know whether the significantly characteristics of the personality can influence performance of the employee. The third, to know the significantly of the leadership to influence on employee performance. Futhormore, to determine wheter the characteristics of the personality and autocratic leadership on the employee performance. Fifth, to know among the characteristics of personality and the autocratic of leadership form that contribute of the largest influence on performance of the employee. The population of all employees, total sample 41 and the sampling technique of total sampling. The writer used the technique of collecting data is questionnaires and documentation. In this reaserch the analytical tool using a range of scales and multiple linier analysis. The result of the analysis part of the scale characteristics of the personality included the criteria is quite good, the autocratic leadership included the criteria is fairly strong and employee performance include the criteria is quite good. The result of hypothesis testing is stating the characteristic of personality and the significant the autocratic of the leadership can influence on the employee performance. Personality characteristics are variable that have the greatest contribution to employee performance.

Abstract

CV Aidrat Amsi was a business engaged in the production of Amdk that produce Products in the form of Galon, Bottle, and Glass. In CV product. Aidrat Amsi often comes with excess demand that does not match the amount of production. So the company is not able to meet the demand of its customers.The aim of this study was to analyze the best alternative to increase product capacity at CV Aidrat Amasi Sunan Drajat Lamongan. The results of the study showed that CV Aidrat Amsi consisted of the best three alternatives, those are gallon machine purchasing, glass, and bottle. This study also suggested that the selection of gallon machine purchasing was the best alternative due to the having the highest EMV (Expected Monetary Value).

Abstract

This study aimed to analyze the production process of Dies Forging Piston Wheel Cylinder and to suggest the improvement for the production. The data were analyzed by Time-Function Mapping, Cause and Effect, and Failure Mode and Effect Analysis (FMEA). The findings showed that there were seven production phases of Dies Forging Piston Wheel Cylinder. After figuring out the troubled phase, the next step was searching for the cause and the solution of the problem using FMEA. The FMEA calculation indicated 4 problems i.e. the employees working on another product, vibrating clamp machines, employees producing jig, and unavailability of jig. The main problem was detected based on the highest score of Risk Priority Number (RPN) that calculation indicator was severity, occurrence, and detection.

Abstract

The purpose of the study was to examine service quality, service attribute, and technical response that should be prioritized based on House of Quality design in Medical Center UMM. This study applied Quality Function Deployment method. The results of the study showed that technical response and service attribute should be developed again. The important aspect of technical response was communication and behavior ethics of staffs. They could make 11 technical responses as strategies to improve service quality in Medical Center UMM.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the impact of brand equity and consumer trust on decision to use the expedition service. The population of this study was the entire customers who sent their package in the JNE Malang; Meanwhile, the sample was 120 consumers who accidentally met while sending their package in the JNE office. The sample was selected by using accidental sampling technique. The data were analysed by means of Multiple Linear Regression. The findings indicated that (1) most of the consumers initially used JNE for the first time in 2014; (2) brand equity significantly influences decision to use the expedition service with the t-count value of 2.350 and the significance value of 0.020; (3) consumer trust also significantly influences decision to use the expedition service with the t-count value of 3.478 and the significance value of 0.001; and last, (4) from these two variables, consumer trust dominantly influences the decision to use the expedition service with a value of 0.301.

Abstract

This study aims at describing and analyzing the effect of compensation and work discipline toward employees’ work performance especially the production division of PT. Candana Putra Nusantara. This study was conducted by distributing questionnaire to 100 respondents by using Total Sampling Method. The analysis technique applied was range scale and double linear regression. The result of the study shows 1) Employees’ work performance is considered high, compensation is considered medium, and work discipline is medium. 2) Partially, according to the t-test, the compensation had significant effect toward employees’ performance. 3) Work discipline had significant effect toward employees’ performance. 4) the f-test result showed that compensation and work discipline had significant effect toward employees’ work performance, and 5) Compensation as a stronger variable in affecting employees’ work performance. Company is suggested to pay attention more on the compensation by providing salary based on Minimum Wage of Probolinggo and improving work discipline especially toward the company’s regulation.
