Abstract

This article is aimed to describe the implementation of manuscript-based learning model. Manuscript-based learning model is a learning model which instill manuscript values among the students, so that they will respect, love, and cherish the manuscript values as well as able to apply them in real life. The study was conducted in a qualitative approach employing library research method. Data collection was performed by reading various relevant literature associated with the implementation of manuscript-based learning model in Islamic higher education. The study figured out that to implement manuscript-based learning model in Islamic higher education can be performed through the following ways: 1) fostering sense of love, appreciation, and belonging toward the manuscripts, 2) building the character and sense of nationalism through the manuscript, 3) developing texts into manuscript moderation, 4) associating the manuscript with social realities, and 5) reviewing the past to prepare for the better future. The result of study is recommended to the leaders and lecturers of Islamic higher education in order to carry on this learning model responsibly, accountably, and cooperatively with other stakeholder.

Abstract

Message in the communication process is something conveyed by communicators to the communicant. Which is the message, ideas, ideas, information, and opinions that are conveyed by a sender of the message (communicator) to the recipient of the message (communicant) whose purpose is to influence it to follow the attitude that is conveyed to him. Where as Da'wah is an invitation to the right path that is Islam which is blessed by Allah. Therefore it is necessary to have an important message of da'wah that must be conveyed in the communication process. Where the main source of Islamic teachings is the first is the Qur'an and one of them is surah al lail. Surah al lail is a makkiah surah consisting of 21 verses which has very important material in preaching such as da'wah messages including the content of the verses relating to aqeedah, syari'ah and akhlak, so that this is clearly what the message of the surah wants to convey

Abstract

The background of this research was the historical setting on writing competence among Dayah scholars in the range of 18-19 century AD that produced a lot of work of Acehnese scholars.The results of their work can still be read and used as a reference to the 21th century, thus it gives an indication that the scholars of Aceh in the past relatively productive in writing. However, in the 20th century, the tradition of writing among dayah scholars is hardly found so that it raises a question related to the involvement of scholars in writing and competences of the dayah scholars in Aceh, north east, and south west region. This type of research was qualitative using purposive sample. The sources of data obtained was primary and secondary. The subjects in the study included: dayah leaders, head of Islamic scholar assembly, head of Shari'a and dayah empowerment , head of the Office of Religious Affairs, the administrators of Mubahatsah of dayah scholar in West Aceh district. Data collection was conducted by using techniques; observation, interviews and document analysis. Data analysis techniques performed through reduction step, display, and verification. The result of this study found that the writing competence among dayah scholars dayah was still relatively 'low' and most of them have almost never participated in learning, training related writing researh paper. Hence, the researchers concluded that the dayah scholars in west Aceh have no competence in writing and it might be argued. In addition, among scholars, there is a perception that the dayah scholars still make the classic holy books (the yellow holy books) as a reference which is considered perfect and authentic. Therefore, there is no motivation to write or to produce work unless there are few people with self-taught ability to analyze the context of the today's issues.

Abstract

Citizen journalism is one of the new categories of journalism that makes it easier for the public to disseminate information to the public. Serambi Indonesia is one og the largest media that facilate citizen reporters to share information. The content of Citizen Reporter on Serambi Indonesia is still limited to informing stories from foreign reporters. This study uses the tehnique of documenting articles on Serambi Indonesia. During August 2018, there were 2 (two) articles representing female journalists in writing articles in the citizen reporter rubric of the Serambi Indonesia. The results showed the female reporter article wrote articles covering the value of news, personal documentation, and construction of article writing

Abstract

This research examines caricature of Habib Rizieq on the cover Tempo magazine. The focus of this research is to examine how the meaning of Habib Rizieq's caricature with description qualitative methods. The theoritical review used is Charles Sander Pierce's semiotics, namely by looking at the meaning of the sign (icon, index, and symbol), object and interpretant. This study examine 2 (two) caricatures that were studied from 23-29 July 2018 edition regarding the source of pronography. So it can be concluded that the researchers interpretation assessed that the two caricatures were related to the events that occured.

Abstract

This study examines ethics in advertising, especially what we want to see are aspects related to Islamic content-based advertising ethics. This is important to study because, it is not uncommon for problems to arise regarding advertising ethics. Where ads that are displayed are often considered to give the impression and messages that ignore ethical norms and values. So this study tries to see how the normative rules that regulate advertising content in West Aceh, taking into account all aspects of local wisdom based on Islamic sharia, so that the display of advertisements displayed is not only different from the appearance of advertisements in other regions in Indonesia, but also accommodates the value of-locality value.
