Abstract

The sincerity-based supervision model is one of the supervision models in promoting the values of sincerity as the first principle in the workplace, building identity in performing and taking actions, and becoming moral force for PAI supervisors when performing the main tasks and functions. However, the problem that most likely to arise in supervising tasks is the lack of sincerity of PAI supervisor when guiding, developing, and improving the performance of PAI teachers. This study uses a "descriptive" method, by discussing qualitative and inductive thought patterns of events, phenomena or natural phenomena encountered in the field. Data collection instruments were carried out through observation, interviews, and documentation studies. Furthermore, data analysis techniques will be based on the opinion of Miles and Huberman employing data reduction, data presentation, and concluding. Whereas checking the validity of the data is done through source triangulation, method triangulation, and theory triangulation. The results showed that the PAI supervisor had applied the value of sincerity when performing supervisory task for the PAI teacher through a model that was afraid of praise and fame that potentially  cause slander, regarding himself as inferior in the eyes of Him, performing acts of charity quietly and model of non-profit-seeking at work, and type of person who respect at others who surpass themselves. While due to the failure to uphold the values of sincerity at work, the sincerity-based supervision model performed by PAI supervisors, in terms of the effectiveness, has not shown optimal  results in improving the performance of PAI teachers.

Abstract

Artikel ini bertujuan mendeskripsikan implementasikan model pembelajaran berwawasan bisnis islami dikalangan Perguruan Tinggi Keagamaan Islam (PTKI). Dosen sebagai fasilitator dalam proses pembelajaran mengkonstruksikan pemikiran, wawasan, dan keilmuan mahasiswa dalam berkarya dan berwirausahaan dalam kehidupan sehari-hari. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode library research terhadap tulisan-tulisan yang berkaitan dengan topik yang dibahas. Kemudian teknik pengumpulan data dengan cara membaca berbagai literatur untuk mendeskripsikan tentang implementasikan model pembelajaran berwawasan bisnis islami. Berdasarkan hasil pembahasan bahwa cara-cara mengimplementasikan model pembelajaran berwawasan bisnis islami adalah sebagai berikut: 1) membangun keilmuan, pemikiran, dan wawasan bisnis islami, 2) membangun semangat berkarya dan berwirausahaan, 3) membangun jiwa mandiri dalam kehidupan sehari-hari, 4) mendorong hidup hemat, dan suka menolong orang tua, keluarga, dan masyarakat, dan 5) melahirkan inovasi, dan keteladan berkarya dan berwirausahaan. Hasil kajian ini dapat direkomendasikan kepada pimpinan, dan dosen Perguruan Tinggi Agama Islam supaya dapat mengimplementasikan model pembelajaran berwawasan bisnis islami dengan penuh disipin, tanggung jawab, dan amanah, serta dapat bekerja sama dengan stakeholder lainnya demi terlaksana model pembelajaran berwawasan bisnis islami.

Abstract

This article aims to describe how istikamah approach can be a moral force for the supervisors of PAI (Islamic Education) in running their main tasks and functions to supervise the teachers of PAI. The attitudes and behavior of Istikamah of PAI supervisors will form kindness, virtuousness, and good work accomplishment in the attempts to improve PAI teacher's performance. The phenomena in the field show that the supervisors of PAI have not internalized the attitude and behavior of istikamah when acting as the supervisors, stimulators, and motivators in supervising, guiding, and improving the performance of PAI teachers. The study was carried out in a qualitative approach utilizing a descriptive design. The subjects of the study were 2 PAI supervisors and 20 PAI teachers in state junior high schools in Nagan Raya district. Data collection was performed through observation, interview, and documentation. Referring to Miles and Huberman, data analysis was carried out by following some procedures comprising data reduction, data computation, and drawing a conclusion. In addition, the validity of the data was examined through the triangulation of the sources, methods, and theories. The result of the study pointed that PAI supervisors have implemented istikamah approach in the model of consistency toward aqeedah tauhid, consistency toward Islamic law, consistency toward truth and justice, consistency toward subjecting the worldly temptation, and the model of working with full commitment in improving the performance of PAI teachers.

Abstract

This study intended to explore how integrity approach can be promoted as the most effective model in improving the work performance of the civil servants. The study was performed in a descriptive design within the scope of qualitative research. Data was collected through observation, interview, and documentary research. Meanwhile, the procedure for data analysis was performed through reduction, tabulation, and data verification or making a conclusion. Based on all data obtained, it can be summarized that the higher integrity a civil servant embraced in internalizing the attitude of sincerity, honesty, discipline and responsibility when working, the better work performance they can show in doing their duty and functionality.

Abstract

This article is aimed to describe school principals’ leadership skill in managing teachers and employees. To manage teachers and employees, school principals are in need of leadership skill to manage, coordinate, and encourage them to have active role, become creative, innovative, and productive in improving education quality. The study is performed as a library research adopting qualitative approach and descriptive method. Data analysis is run through interrelated processes of data collection, data processing, and data analysis. Result of study indicated that to become a successful school principal in managing teachers and employees, it requires: 1) skill to organize and encourage teachers and employees, 2) skill to nourish teachers and employees’ self-confidence, 3) skill to improve teachers and employees professionalism, 4) skill to build a solid and strong team work, and 5) skill to drive teachers and employees to achieve school goals.

Abstract

The worship approach is one of the supervision models that make worship values a basic principle for PAI supervisors in performing the main tasks and functions (Tupoksi) to supervise the improvement of PAI teacher's performance. The problem that arises is that PAI supervisors are still less able to apply the values of worship when conducting supervisory duties to PAI teachers so that the performance of PAI teachers declines according to stakeholders and community perceptions. This study aims to describe the worship approach as a supervision model in improving the performance of PAI teachers in Nagan Raya Regency Junior High School. This research uses a qualitative descriptive approach and employs three data collection techniques, namely observation, interviews, and documentation studies. While data analysis techniques will be based on the opinion of Miles, and Huberman, including 1) data reduction, 2) display/ presentation of data, and 3) drawing conclusions or data verification. In this research, the validity of the data will be analyzed by using four criteria, namely the degree of trust (credibility), transferability, dependability, and confirmability. The results showed that the PAI supervisor had already developed a worship approach as a supervision model for improving the performance of PAI teachers, through working models solely because of God, working models as a means of communication with God, working models as a symbol of obedience to God, and the model of all work is valued as worship, and the model of work tirelessly. Even though this approach has been developed by PAI supervisors, it turns out that daily the PAI supervisors show mediocre attitudes and behavior in improving the performance of PAI teachers in public schools.

Abstract

The uswah approach as one of the supervision models in improving PAI (Islamic Education) teachers’ performance is one of the approaches which is based on uswah values as the basic principles in working and serves as a moral force for the supervisors in running their main tasks and functions to supervise PAI teachers. The problem found in the field is that PAI supervisors do not show the attitude and behavior of uswah when supervising, guiding, and improving PAI teachers’ performance. This study is performed in a descriptive design with a qualitative approach. Data were collected through observation, interview, and documentary study meanwhile data analysis was performed by referring to Miles and Huberman which consist of data reduction, computation, and drawing conclusions. In addition, the validity of data was examined through the triangulation of sources, methods, and theories. The result of the study pointed that PAI supervisors have established some uswah values in running the main tasks and functions to supervise PAI teachers through several models of the uswah approach, namely, adorning self with nobility, providing great, friendly, and fair services, guiding and providing advice, and being shy and maintaining self-respect. Whereas the model of doing kindness starting from oneself has not been optimally applied by PAI supervisors so that their attitudes and behavior improving the work performance of PAI teachers are decreasing.

Abstract

This article aims to describe the discourse of integrated quality management system of education in the industrial revolution 4.0 era. The advancement of information, communication and technology is an opportunity and hope to implement qualified and competitive educational programs by utilizing automation technology and cyber technology. This study used a qualitative method with a descriptive approach through library research. The writing technique was carried out through several stages starting from data collection to data processing and analysis stage that were considered relevant and had relationship with the problem. The results of this study indicate that the integrated quality management system of education in the industrial revolution 4.0 era can realized through: 1) the planning of qualified educational program, 2) organizing integrated human resource, 3) flexible and transparent communication, 4) harmonious and comfortable coordination, and 5) tight and accountable supervision.

Abstract

This study analyzes teacher[s behavior in performing duties and responsibilities at school. The result from the analysis concludes that the more sincere the teacher in performing duties and responsibilities at school, the better the work performance becomes. This conclusion was supported by the great ulama of Riyad, Saudi Arabia, Muhammad bin Ibrahim (2002:24) who contended that sincerity will be a lucky stairs, enforces gooddeeds, strenghthen the intention, and consolidates the heart to achive the desired goals. The study was conducted as a library research employing maudu'i (thematic) method, a method of tafsir studies by assembling all Qur'anic verses and hadits related to the theme studied. The goal of this study is figure out the concept of teacher's work performance in relation to sincerity for doing good deeds

Abstract

This article studies and analyzes the attitudes and behaviors of rahmatan lil ‘alamin lecturers in building Islamic character and culture of the students, the community and the environment. In the phenomenon emerging today, there are a number of lecturers who act and do in a normative-doctrinal concept which results in excessive apologetic attitudes (intellectual obstinacy). In addition, the soft skills in building and managing the rahmatan lil 'alamin students and community life is still very weak. Thus, it happens very often that they claim for unilateral truth justifying that they are the right one in interpreting Islam and accuse other groups as infidels and eretical orientalists. The final conclusion from this article is that the attitudes and behaviors of the rahmatan lil ‘alamin lecturers are potential to build Islamic character and culture in the students, community, and environment. Through experiences, performances and real works, responsibility and innovation, moderation, and uswah they will gradually bring advantages and benefits, solutions, and alternatives for the ummah to keep peace and tranquility, and are also consistent toward the change and renewal movement for the ummah and their environment.
