Abstract

This article describes the social action of students' non-academic achievement. Student achievement in education is a measure of student success. Achievement has two categories, namely academic achievement and non-academic achievement. SMA Muhammadiyah 10 Surabaya has a gifted title. In accordance with this predicate, this school focuses on developing the potential interests and talents of students. This study uses social action theory by Max Weber in assessing the motivation for non-academic achievement goals. Researchers used qualitative methods through in-depth interviews and observation primary data, as well as secondary data through the development of student championship news on internet pages. The results showed that in achieving students' non-academic achievements, they achieved these goals through instrumental rational actions in the form of regular physical readiness exercises, value-oriented rational actions on aspects of spirituality, traditional actions on aspects of choosing extracurricular activities based on experience and advice from parents. , affective actions choose extracurricular activities because of feelings of pleasure and interest. The researcher hopes that this article can be a new contribution to society in the field of education and social affairs, especially the achievement of non-academic achievements which the community considers not a significant achievement for the future of students compared to academic achievement.

Abstract

The dynamic state administration reflects the crystallization of the idea that the presence of state governance called Good Corporate Governance (GCG) is a product of the development of the state's way of providing public services. The economic arrangement of the East Java model which can be called Jatimnomic in reconstructing GCG with the content of the corporate spirit. The purpose of this paper is to analyze the Good Corporate Governance (GCG) in order to realize Indonesia as a welfare state with the JATIMNOMIC model. The method used is a legal research type and uses a statute approach and a conceptual approach. The result of the discussion is that in realizing Good Corporate Governance (GCG) for People's Welfare, all state resources must be mixed in the formulation of national economic development policies that move in the wave of globalization with responsive leadership for a sustainable economy for the people's welfare. Reformative and solution construction of the national economy by making Indonesia a world economic supercorridor within the ASEAN (AEC) scope through the conception and implementation of what is called JATIMNOMIC.

Abstract

The type of research used in this study is a qualitative descriptive type. The research location in this research is the Manyar Gresik Police. Data collection techniques were carried out by interview, observation and documentation. The results of the study indicate that the role of the Police Chief in resolving minor crimes in penal settlement is to carry out inherent supervision by monitoring, observing and checking the implementation of tasks so that they run according to plans and applicable regulations.

Abstract

This study discusses the childhood trauma caused by sexual abuse that resulted in unwanted feelings such as anxiety, low self-esteem, fear of betrayal, fear of abandonment, and defense  mechanism of Marayo as the main character of the novel. This study centres on the impacts of childhood trauma that affect character personality and behaviours. The study uses a psychoanalysis theory related to childhood trauma, anxiety, and its core issues. In the process of analysis, the researcher uses a qualitative method to collect, classify, and conclude the data. Yejide Kilanko's Daughters Who Walk This Path novel as the primary data sources and journals, books, and articles as secondary data sources. The study set out some critical information about how childhood trauma can affect someone's personality and behavior. It found that behavior and personality are deteriorated because of sexual abuse. The consequence of childhood trauma can lead a person to feels anxious that can reveal some core issues, which are fear of abandonment, fear of betrayal, and low self-esteem; that later she grows some defense mechanism, which is avoidance and selective memory.

Abstract

Every human being in this world has its imperfection. An individual can change his or her personality according to experience. Every person has insecurities and anxieties that may cause behavior to change. This phenomenon is also represented in Paula Hawkins’s novel titled The Girl on the Train. The study aims to reveal the cause of Megan’s loss of her love one experience affect her current personality and to reveal Megan’s projection and displacement affect the relationship with her husband. The research used psychoanalytic criticism theory to analyze the novel The Girl on the Train. The primary datum of this study is the novel, which focuses on the expression and explanation related to the unconscious fears and defenses mechanism by the characters. The results showed that someone’s behavior would change after having a bad experience as well as losing the loved one. Moreover, when someone pressed them a lot for doing something that they do not want to. In order to overcome someone’s wound, a person will be releasing his or her wounds to other people.

Abstract

The mandate of the ASN Law shows that the career development of the State Civil Apparatus is an integral part of ASN Management. The purpose of ASN career development is to match the needs and goals of existing employees, with the career opportunities available in the organization concerned. The function of ASN as Public Policy Executor as well as the glue and unifier of the nation requires ASN to have professional and high-performing skills, knowledge and attitudes. One way to achieve this is by choosing a career as a functional official.Directorate General of Customs and Excise (DGCE) as one of the government agencies under The Ministry of Finance of Indonesian Republic that serves the public in the field of customs and excise, also has a functional position in the structure of its employee positions. Based on the data of Directorate General of Customs and Excise strategic plan (Renstra) 2015-2019, DGCE still needs additional new employees as many as 8,298 people, among them from the side of internal factors, among others, to recruit Functional Officials of Customs and Excise Inspectors sub-elements of Customs Audit. In terms of aspects of career management, one of the activities carried out is to appoint and improve the management of functional positions of DJBC. This research is a descriptive qualitative research design in the form of a case study. The selection of the case study research design was based on the fact that the researcher wanted to clarify the career development of the Functional Position of Customs and Excise Inspector at the Directorate General of Customs and Excise (DGCE), East Java I Regional Office, in detail and explore career development problems that exist over time. The framework in this research uses the process flow of career development theory which includes a career planning and career management.

Abstract

Polri's strategy in shaping anti-corruption behavior in the community in the jurisdiction of the East Java Police: establishment of the Saber Extortion Task Force, synergizing 3 pillars, conducting anti-corruption character education in the school environment. Barriers to the National Police in shaping anti-corruption behavior in the community in the jurisdiction of the East Java Regional Police include: First, the absence of SOPs in the OTT activities of the Saber Pungli Task Force. Second, the lack of bhabinkamtibmas personnel. Third, the occurrence of the corona virus pandemic so that all face-to-face activities including seminars were also cancelled.

Abstract

Innovation at the individual or employee level is one of the best ways to develop a company. This study examines and analyzes several hypotheses including the influence of perceived organizational support on innovative behavior, the effect of perceived organizational support on organizational commitment and the effect of perceived organizational support on innovative behavior through organizational commitment as a mediator variable on employees of a developing retail company, namely PT. Brothers lay. In this study, the perception of organizational support uses the theory of Rhoades & Eisenberger (2002), innovative behavior uses the theory of De Jong (2010) and organizational commitment uses the theory of Meyer and Allen (1993). The results showed that there was a direct and indirect effect between the variables being tested. There is a direct influence between the perceived organizational support variables on innovative behavior of 0.439 with a significance of 0.000. There is an influence between the perceived organizational support variables on organizational commitment of 0.424 with a significance of 0.000. The last finding is that there is an indirect effect between perceptions of organizational support for innovative behavior through organizational commitment as a mediator variable of 0.142 with a significance of 0.000. This indicates that organizational commitment as a mediator variable is able to strengthen the relationship between perceived organizational support and innovative behavior. Abstract

This study aimed to find new perspectives on the use of humor through digital media. A qualitative approach was used to conduct this study, where data were collected through literature review. Stress is caused by the inability of a person to adapt between desires and reality. All forms of stress are basically caused by a lack of understanding of human's own limitations. Inability to fight limitations that will cause frustration, conflict, anxiety and guilt. Too much stress can threaten a person's ability to deal with the environment. As a result, employees develop various kinds of stress symptoms that can interfere with their work performance. Thus, the management of work stress is important to do, one of which uses humor. However, in the digital age the spread of humor can be easily facilitated. The results of this review article find new perspectives to reduce stress through digital humor, namely interactive humor, funny photos, manipulations, phanimation, celebrity soundboards, and PowerPoint humor. The research shows that the use of humor as a coping strategy is able to predict positive affect and well-being work related. Moreover, digital humor which has various forms as well as easy, fast and wide spread, then the effect is felt increasingly significant
