Abstract

Facing era of globalization needs people to prepare human resources mainly in the sector of science and technology. To have a good mastery of technology someone requires sufficient knowledge in facing global world needs which is known as a competitive era. In this case, the role of English or other foreign languages is very important in mastering communication technology or even for direct communication using English. English is not only fulfilling academic purposes since the mastery is only focused on the knowledge of the language itself, however it is used as a tool of global communication. This supports the Indonesian government program of Visit Indonesia and Pesona Indonesia for the purpose of developing the prosperity of Indonesian society. As cityzens of Manado, the capital city of North Sulawesi, is supporting the program by giving special attention to the early age of school; Sunday School Children of Tabur Kasih Malalayang teaching them simple and practical English sentences and vocabularies. Abstract

The Educators must place their students as people who naturally have experience, knowledge, desires, and thoughts that can be used to learn, both individually and in groups. All language learning strategies have the main goal of increasing one's ability to speak. The choice of teaching and learning strategies language learning strategies must be based on the consideration of placing students as subjects of learning who not only passively accept what is conveyed by educators. Teaching Japanese especially kanji using various learning strategies makes it easy for Japanese learners especially in learning Japanese letters/starch. Language learning strategies/learning strategies used are direct strategies and indirect strategies. Direct Strategy is a strategy that is directly related to foreign language learning. That is directly related to language in various tasks and situations, consisting of (1) memory strategies, (2) cognitive strategies, and (3) compensation strategies. Indirect Strategies in language learning are strategies that indirectly support language learning through ways such as the focus of learning, planning, assessment, acquiring learning opportunities, avoiding anxiety in learning, working with others. This strategy consists of three elements, namely (1) metacognitive strategies that are tasked with coordinating the learning process, (2) affective strategies that are in charge of regulating emotions, and (3) social strategies that are tasked with fostering cooperation with others in the learning process. This study aims to obtain scientific data the process of increasing mastery of Japanese letters/kanji by applying Language learning strategies direct strategies and indirect strategies. The method used in this study is an action research method. Data from the research results were analyzed qualitatively and quantitatively. Referring to the model developed by Kemmis and Mc. Taggart is a spiral model. The research method used is the method of Action research with four steps, namely (planning, implementation, observation, and reflection). Use of the application of Language Learning Strategies in Kanji learning among others: (1) the development of writing and Kanji reading skills through meaningful learning experiences, (2) Kanji learning is more systematic and creative both individually and in collaboration with friendsKeywords: Language, learning, strategies, Kanji

Abstract

This research is aimed to describe: 1) Form of Infix {um-} in Tondano dialect of Tolour Language, 2) in-the function of infix {-um-} in Tondano dialect of Tolour Language, 3) the meaning of infix {-um-} in Tondano dialect of Tolour Language. This research used quantitative methods. Data collection technique used for this research was trigger (basic technique) and interview (advance technique). Resea2rcher used list of questions that were related to infix problem in Tolour Language. Other than that, in obtaining supporting data, 3 (three) informants from Seretan Village were chosen. Ata analysis technique was undertaken by identifying finding of interview, combined to data from written source. The next step, the data of kind were classified and analyzed according to its form, function and the meaning, the cause of the attachment of infix in the basic form. At the end, the finding from data analysis showed that infix arrangement {-um-} at the basic form had experienced changes. The forms of infix {-um-} in Tondano dialect of Tolour Language cover: (1) if it was attached to the basic form which has vocal (a, i, u, e, o), so the assimilation and position change would happen, (2) if it was attached to the basic form preceded by bilabial phoneme /p,w/, change would happen which was infix {-um-}would move prefix position and the first phoneme in its assimilated form, (3) if it was attached to the basic preceded by consonant phoneme, there would be no change. Infix {-um-} is aimed to form transitive and intransitive verb from basic forms of varied categories either pre-category, nominal, adjective, and numerical. He purpose of infix attachment in its basic form changed according to the purpose of the basic from attached, which (1) means an action that would happen, (2) determines the purpose of an continuous action that related to what is said in the basic form, (3) determines the meaning of becoming like it in the basic form, and (4) determines the meaning of would become as said in the basic form. Abstract

The population growth is closely related to the utilization of natural resources and will impact on environmental degradation. Therefore, identifying and inventorying the local wisdom of the community that aims to conserve the environment is very important. Natural science perspective lifting local wisdom in education is one way to revitalize, develop and maintain the values of local knowledge. This study aims to explore the elements of local wisdom in society, examines the concept of Natural Science and Mathematics contained in the elements of local wisdom and is designed for learning materials. The research was conducted in the District Manganitu Sangihe Islands in January 2016. Data collection using observation techniques and interviews with related parties and data obtained analyzed the concept of science underlying the forms of local wisdom existing in Manganitu community. The result of the research is a concept map which contains the network of Mathematics and Natural Science concepts. This research product can meet the needs of high school teachers and become one of the solution of thematic learning problem in Sangihe Island. Keywords : Concept of Mathematics and Science, Local Community Wisdom, Curriculum 2013

Abstract

Programmable logic controller (PLC) is a microprocessor used to automate industry processes such as controlling a factory's engine. As a candidate in electrical engineering degree must be able to assemble and arrange PLC control program so that later can compete in industrial world. Therefore PLC is one of the compulsory courses that must be pursued. But in learning PLC encountered obstacles that students feel less interested in learning that they need to understand the language of logic, and require them to assemble the series of automation with inadequate equipment, so we think Simulation learning method is a learning method can improve the students' understanding of the situation or problem better. The purpose of this research is to know the effect of simulation learning method on students with high and low creativity level in PLC learning. The method used in this research is an experimental method. Result of this study is simulation learning method can improve learning result of PLC, but not maximal. PLC learning requires real work practices so as to provide accurate knowledge to every student.Based on these conclusions, the suggestion in PLC learning can use a learning method that uses work practices as a learning tool of PLC

Abstract

Early childhood education is very important for the child's future.[1] early childhood is the age of gold where the development of children into a period of development is very decisive. The mix of primary colors (Red, yellow, blue), will become secondary color, and this is generally not understood by kindergarten children. To introduce the secondary color requires a method of learning that shows directly how to obtain it, such as the method of demonstration learning. The purpose of this study is to improve the ability to recognize the secondary color in children with the method of demonstration learning. This research uses Class Action Research method. The subjects of this study were students of group B kindergarten GMIM Hosiana Tumatangtang amounted to 14 children. The results obtained through two cycles with the application of demonstration methods can improve the ability to introduce secondary color. Keywords : Introduce Secondary Color, Demonstration Method.
