Abstract

Research title by Baby Truck Family Valentines Day on the Gecko's Garage YouTube channel uses 2 semiotic analyzes namely Roland Barthes and Charles Sanders Pierce. The aim of this research is to find representations of sexual deviance in young children's broadcasts. In this video, researchers found LGBTQR+ elements, especially lesbian representation. This is shown starting from parents who are women and girls (not men and women), then daughters join in celebrating Valentine's Day. This video is not suitable for broadcast in Indonesia because it is very contrary to the norms that exist in Indonesia. If children watch this animation, there are concerns that they will follow LGBTQ+ activists in the future. Or the least impact is tolerating the presence of LGBTQ+ activists, especially in this case, lesbians around them.

Abstract

The Covid-19 pandemic has brought disaster and catastrophe to humanity's survival. The Covid-19 pandemic has paralyzed not only society's standard social order, but also a country's political and economic stability. On the other hand, the outbreak has altered the global health order. The Covid-19 pandemic has pushed international organizations such as the World Health Organization (WHO) to take the lead in fighting the outbreak. WHO, as a key player in the global health order, is responsible for preventing pandemics like Covid-19 from recurring in the future. The author intends to examine the role of WHO in compiling global health governance through the lens of the two primary schools of International Relations, neorealism and neoliberalism, in this scientific article. At the discussion stage, the author employs a qualitative method supported by secondary data to support the argument. At the analysis stage, the author contends that there are two opposing viewpoints on WHO's role in developing global health governance. The role of the WHO is viewed skeptically by neorealism, which believes that countries can only rely on themselves to overcome a future pandemic threat. On the contrary, the neoliberalism viewpoint encourages countries to actively participate in global health governance by collaborating with WHO. The author concludes that the state must continue to develop its capabilities in order to survive another pandemic. Countries, on the other hand, must collaborate with international organizational actors to develop inclusive and adaptive global health governance

Abstract

Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) play a crucial role in fostering economic growth within a nation. The significance of this role is seen in the impact of MSMEs on various aspects such as employment generation, business capital accumulation, export promotion, poverty reduction, and the mitigation of income inequality. Several studies confirm that it is challenging for MSMEs to grow and develop. The primary challenges encompass constrained financial resources and impediments in securing funding from banking institutions. Various governments across numerous countries provide fiscal support to MSMEs through the provision of guarantees and interest subsidies. This research aims to determine the concept and implementation of program credit using the Systematic Literature Review method. This research found that government intervention in MSME financing programs, both in guarantee subsidy schemes and interest subsidies, varies depending on the business phasing process, business scale, and type of business. The government usually facilitates medium-scale MSMEs with a guarantee subsidy scheme. In the interim, the government provides support to small-scale and micro-scale MSMEs through the implementation of an interest subsidy scheme. Financing MSMEs with an interest subsidy scheme is more effective, but in some cases, guarantee subsidies are more effective. Government intervention is often misdirected because the government in several countries does not yet have credit scoring and certification for MSMEs.

Abstract

As one of the international organizations, UNHCR has a role in helping global society in humanitarian areas, especially refugees worldwide. Internally displaced people (IDPs) in Ethiopia become one of the targets for humanitarian access that are affected by the conflict between the Ethiopia federal government ruled by Abiy Ahmed as Primes Minister the Tigray regional that was dominated by Tigray's People Liberation Front (TPLF). The situation in the Ethiopian government changed after the transition of Abiy Ahmed. And then the conflict began after it was triggered by the TPLF when Tigray held its regional general election after Abiy Ahmed decided to postpone the general election. As a result, both actors try to confront each other with their troops to take over the cities in Tigray. The Eritrean troops supported the Ethiopian government in human rights violations as one of their weapons that caused fear among the Ethiopian societies. The fear of being the next victim made the Ethiopian societies flee to another region in Ethiopia and become internally displaced people (IDPs). This research tries to research the role of the UNHCR in helping Ethiopian IDPs and why this refugee case needs international attention. To help the arrangement process, this research uses case-based qualitative methodology, international organization theory by Kelly Kate Pease, and human security as concepts. The result of the research found that UNHCR's role as an international organization in collaboration with other institutions and national and international organizations to assist IDPs all over the region can be classified as the role of problem-solving and aid provider.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the indications of a new currency project which is planned to be announced at the BRICS Summit in South Africa2023. The BRICS countries now account for 40% of the global population and a quarter of global GDP. PUse of Yuan has increased over recent years, accounting for 7% of global foreign exchange trading. While the US dollar continues to play a large role in the international financial system, including serving as the leading global reserve currency. US dominance is increasingly facing challenges from oil-producing countries, including Iran, andalsoWashington's longtime ally Saudi Arabia which announced that it would consider selling oil in currencies other than Dollar. The research uses the theory of International Monetary System and Counter Hegemony in understanding the problems that occur. This research uses a qualitative approach to explain a phenomenon in depth and examines more to the substance of the meaning of the phenomenon. The findings of this research are on the attitude of each BRICS member country, that although BRICS has a discourse for the global financial system, but no country seems to seriously intend to de-dollarize or make a real effort to find an alternative currency to replace the US dollar. The goal that is in the common interest of BRICS is not to replace, find an alternative to the dollar, or even for the purpose of lowering the value of the US dollar. The common goal is to control hegemony so that the US cannot arbitrarily exercise its political power for unilateral economic and military interests.
