Abstract

Abstrak Tulisan ini bertujuan menganalisis dampak new media terhadap para perempuan yang aktif berselancar di dunia maya terutama dalam hal ideologi keagamaan yang mengarah pada pemikiran dan gerakan ekstrimis. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kajian literatur. Data diperoleh dari situs-situs online dan di analisis dengan analisis wacana. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa, new media memiliki pengaruh besar yang dapat merubah ideologi sekelompok perempuan dari inklusif menjadi ekslusif. Beberapa faktor yang mempengaruhi kelompok perempuan di Indonesia berhaluan ekstrim adalah karena adanya rasa ketidak-adilan, kebutuhan emosional, kemiskinan (faktor ekonomi), ketidakpuasan terhadap pemerintah, dan disebabkan ingin menegakkan khilafah. Ideologi yang dikembangkan oleh situs-situs berhaluan ekstrim adalah seputar narasi hijrah, jihad, khilafah, dan intoleransi. Kata Kunci: New Media, Perempuan, Ekslusif, Gerakan Ekstrimis __________________________ Abstract This paper aims to analyze the impact of new media on women who actively surf in cyberspace, especially in terms of religious ideology that leads to extremist thoughts and movements. This research uses literature study method. Data obtained from online sites and analyzed by discourse analysis. The results of the research show that new media has a major influence which can change the ideology of women's groups from inclusive to exclusive. Some of the factors that influence women's groups in Indonesia to take extreme positions are due to a sense of injustice, emotional needs, poverty (economic factors), dissatisfaction with the government, and wanting to establish a caliphate. The ideologies developed by sites with extreme tendencies revolve around the narrative of hijrah, jihad, khilafah, and intolerance. Keywords: New Media, Women, Exclusive, Extremist Movements

Abstract

Abstrak Artikel ini menyajikan hasil pelaksanaan cyber extension yang dilaksanakan oleh penyuluh agama Kota Semarang, serta efektifitas dari pelaksanaannya. Cyber extension merupakan inovasi sistem informasi dan teknologi informasi dengan berbasis cyber sebagai media dalam rangka penyuluhan untuk memudahkan kinerja penyuluh. Kajian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui efektifitas dari pelaksanaan cyber extension penyuluh Agama Kota Semarang, terkait dengan peluang dan tantangan dalam pelaksanaan cyber extension yang dilakukan. Metode yang dilakukan penulis adalah dengan menggunakan penelitian kualitatif eksploratif dalam mengetahui sebab akibat dalam pelaksanaan cyber extension pada penyuluh agama kota Semarang. Hasil dari kajian ini menunjukkan penyuluh agama sudah menerapkan konsep manajemen dengan menerapkan POAC dalam aktifitas pelaksanaan penyuluhan yang dilakukan, sehingga terdapat efektifitas dalam kinerjanya sebagai seorang penyuluh. Akan tetapi, pelaksanaan cyber extension dalam kinerjanya belum sepenuhnya diimplementasikan. Hal ini dikarenakan beberapa faktor diantaranya kurang adanya ada optimalisasi dari website kementerian Agama Kota, sumber daya pengelola yang belum optimal, pengembangan inovasi yang belum dilaksanakan dalam proses penyuluhan oleh penyuluh di tingkat kota Semarang. Abstract This article presents the implementation results of cyber extension carried out by religious counselor in Semarang City, as well as the effectiveness of its implementation. Cyber extension is an innovation in information systems and information technology based on cyber as a media for counseling to facilitate religious counselor performance. This study aims to determine the effectiveness of cyber extension implementation for religious counselor officers in Semarang City, related to the opportunities and challenges in the implementation of cyber extension. The method uses an exploratory qualitative research for knowing the cause and effect of cyber extension implementation to religious counselor officers in the Semarang City. The results of this study indicate that religious counselor officers have implemented the management concept by implementing POAC in their counseling activities, so there is effectiveness in their performance as a counselor agent. However, the cyber extension implementation in its performance has not been fully implemented. This is due to several factors including the lack of optimization from the Ministry of Religion of the City website, inadequate management resources, the innovations development that have not been implemented in the counseling process by counselor agents at the city level of Semarang. Abstract

Abstrak Persepsi dan perilaku cek fakta pada Penyuluh Agama Islam belum pernah diketahui. Walau beberapa penelitian telah membahas persepsi dan perilaku cek fakta pada profesi dan target audiens tertentu. Sedangkan Penyuluh Agama Islam (PAI) adalah garda terdepan klarifikasi informasi di banyak daerah Indonesia yang mayoritas Muslim. PAI memiliki fungsi informatif juga untuk menyampaikan informasi yang benar. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mengetahui perilaku dan persepsi PAI dalam mengecek fakta. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan metode survei. Survei Google form telah diisi oleh 425 responden sebagai sampling penelitian. Hasil yang didapatkan adalah Penyuluh Agama Islam didominasi Generation X (40%) dan Baby Boomer (32,4%). Dengan platform sosial media yang populer adalah WhatsApp (96,4%), Facebook (56%), dan Instagram (27%) Mereka memandang penting persepsi dan perilaku cek fakta di platform sosial media (>80%). Namun dalam hal mencari sebuah fakta dari karya akademik dan fanpage mereka terpecah persepsi dan perilakunya (>40%). Implikasi dari penelitian ini adalah perlunya menjadikan cek fakta sebagai bagian dari perilaku PAI. Sehingga terjadi perubahan persepsi pada informasi di lanskap digital, terutama menyoal hoaks. Kata kunci: disinformasi, cek fakta, penyuluh agama Islam, persepsi Abstract The perception and behavior fact checking from Religious Counselor of Islam is still unknown. Although few studies have discussed the perception and behavior from particular professions and audiences. Religious Counselor of Islam (PAI) are the vanguard of information clarification in various regions with Islam as the majority. They should disseminate correct information. The aims of this research is to seek the behavior and perception of Islamic Religious Counselor of Islam. This research employed a quantitative approach using a survey technique. The Google Form survey had gathered 425 respondents as the sampling of this research. The results suggest that the Religious Counselor of Islam were dominated by Generation X (40%) and Baby Boomers (32,4%). They favored WhatsApp (96,4%), Facebook (56%), and Instagram (27%) as their favorites social media. They perceived and conducted fact checking as necessary (>80%). However, in seeking factual information from academic writings and fact-checking fanpage, they have different perception and behavior (>40%). The implications of this research is the need to make fact checking as part of the Religious Counselor of Islam behavior. Abstract

Abstrak Artikel ini membahas tentang upaya meningkatkan daya saing Islam ramah pada masa pandemi. Adanya Covid-19 menuntut seluruh aktivitas dilakukan secara daring, termasuk dakwah. Tulisan ini hendak meneliti daya saing, kompetensi antara kedua dakwah “Islam ramah” dan “Islam marah” pada masa pandemi. Pendekatan deskriptif-analitis dalam teori competitive superiority dan efektivitas dakwah digunakan sebagai alat untuk menganalisis artikel ini. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan menganalisis konten dakwah dalam situs (Nu.or.id, Panrita.id dan ppanwarulhuda.com) dan channel youtube (164 Chanel dan Tawaf TV), sebagai representasi Islam ramah. Sementara konten dakwah dalam situs (Hidayatullah.com, Eramuslim.com, dan Voa-islam.com) dan channel youtube (Hidayah.Indonesia dan SAP Chanel) sebagai representasi “Islam marah”. Tulisan ini menyimpulkan bahwa dakwah Islam ramah di era pandemi masih lemah sehingga perlu dilakukan optimalisasi. Tulisan ini merekomendasikan digitalisasi dakwah dengan lima langkah yang harus diupayakan; 1) sentralisasi media dakwah, 2) responsif untuk menjadi problem solving, 3) memberi penekanan (emphasize) pada isu penting, 4) framming and authoritative, 5) digital friendly. Kata Kunci: Digitalisasi dakwah, Daya saing, Islam ramah, Covid-19 Abstract This article discusses efforts to increase the competitiveness of cordial Islam during the pandemic. The existence of Covid-19 requires all activities to be carried by online, it is including da’wah. This paper intends to examine the competitiveness, the competence between two types of da’wah of “cordial Islam” and “Islamic harsh” during the pandemic. The descriptive-analytical approach in the theory of competitive superiority and the effectiveness of da'wah is used as a tool to analyze this article. This research was conducted by analyzing the da'wah content on websites (Nu.or.id, Panrita.id and ppanwarulhuda.com) and YouTube channels (164 Chanel and Tawaf TV), as representations of cordial Islam. Meanwhile, the da’wah content on the websites (Hidayatullah.com, Eramuslim.com, and Voa-islam.com) and the YouTube channel (Hidayah.Indonesia and SAP Chanel) as a representation of “Islamic harsh”. This paper concludes that cordial Islam da’wah in the pandemic era is still weak, so the optimization needs to be done. This paper recommends digitizing da'wah with five steps that must be pursued; 1) centralization of da’wah media, 2) responsive to be problem solving, 3) emphasizing on ​​crucial issues, 4) framing and authoritative, 5) digital friendly. Abstract

Abstrak Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis karakteristik, kepuasan dan tingkat pemahaman peserta kelas literasi zakat dan wakaf di masa Covid-19 yang diadakan oleh Direktorat Pemberdayaan Zakat dan Wakaf, Ditjen Bimbingan Masyarakat Islam Kementerian Agama. Metode penelitian yang digunakan dengan survei secara daring menggunakan aplikasi survey monkey dengan total responden 257. Karakteristik responden dari segi jenis kelamin didominasi oleh laki-laki, latar belakang pendidikan mayoritas lulusan sarjana. Asal responden masih terkonsentrasi berasal dari pulau Jawa, serta paling sedikit berasal dari Indonesia wilayah Timur seperti Maluku dan Papua. Responden didominasi oleh penyuluh Agama Islam Kementerian Agama. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa program kelas literasi zakat wakaf menunjukkan adanya peningkatan pemahaman megenai zakat dan wakaf serta motivasi terbesar untuk menambah pengetahuan, mendapatkan sertifikat dan mendapatkan relasi jaringan. Adapun untuk saran kelas lanjutan literasi zakat dan wakaf, mayoritas responden menyatakan bahwa diperlukannya diadakan secara rutin setiap bulan. Kata Kunci: Literasi Zakat Wakaf, Karakteristik, Kepuasan, Pemahaman Abstract This study aims to analyze the characteristics, satisfaction and level of participants understanding in the zakat and waqf literacy class during the Covid-19 period held by the Directorate of Zakat and Waqf Empowerment, Directorate General of Islamic Community Guidance at the Ministry of Religious Affairs. This research method uses an online survey by the survey monkey application with a total of 257 respondents. Characteristics of respondents in the terms of gender were dominated by men, the majority educational background are undergraduate. The origin of the respondents is still concentrated from Java and at least from Eastern Indonesia such as Maluku and Papua. Respondents were dominated by Religious Counselor of Islam officers at the Ministry of Religious Affairs. The results show that the zakat and waqf literacy class program is increasing the zakat and waqf understanding as well as the greatest motivation for increasing knowledge, obtaining certificates and obtaining network relationships. The suggestion for the advanced class of zakat and waqf literacy, the majority of respondents stated that it was needed to be held regularly every month. Abstract

Abstrak Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis bahasa agama di media sosial yang dikontstruksi oleh akun Islam Populer. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan analisis teks media. Analisis media package dilakukan dengan metode analisis framing model William A. Gamson dan Modigliani. Unit analisis dilakukan terhadap core frame dan condensing symbol pada akun Islam Populer baik di kanal Youtube, Fanpage Facebook maupun Instagram. Hasil penelitian menyimpulkan bahwa pengemasan bahasa agama pada akun Islam Populer dilakukan dengan merujuk pada sumber normativitas Islam, yakni Al-Qur'an dan Al-Hadits. Konstruksi bahasa agama di media sosial di bangun sebagai sebuah praktik keagamaan yang dikemas melalui serangkaian simbol baik bersifat verbal maupun non verbal. Dalam konteks budaya siber, konstruksi gagasan ini dilakukan dengan membentuk ulang realitas secara subjektif. Realitas subjektif terbangun melalui rekayasa teks dan image. Pada titik inilah, bahasa agama di media sosial menjadi sebuah imagologi keagamaan yang berada pada wilayah ambiguitas, yakni antara wilayah sakral dan profan. Kata Kunci: Bahasa agama; Media Sosial; Islam Populer; Imagologi agama. Abstract This study aims to analyze the religious language on social media of "Islam Populer." This study uses a qualitative approach by analysing media texts. The media package analysis is performed using the William A. Gamson and Modigliani framing analysis method. The unit of analysis is carried out on the core frame and condensing symbols on "Islam Populer" social media accounts; Youtube channel, Facebook Fanpage and Instagram as well. The results of this study conclude that the packaging of religious language in "Islam Populer" accounts was carried out by referring to the sources of Islamic normativity, namely Al-Qur'an dan Al-Hadits. The construction of religious language on social media was built as a religious practice that is packaged through a series of symbols both verbal and non-verbal. In the context of cyberculture, the construction of this idea is conducted by subjectively reshaping reality. Subjective reality is built through text and image construction. At this point, the language of religion in social media becomes a kind of religious imagology that is in the area of ambiguity, namely between the sacred and the profane.. Abstract

The uniqueness of Indonesian culture, one of which can be seen when holding a traditional ceremony, Of the many cultures in Indonesia, one of the customs that is often used in weddings is the Sundanese custom. Indeed, the main moment awaited in a marriage is the procession of the ijab. But the traditional procession is also one of the solemn moments in a wedding. The Sundanese traditional wedding series that is often used by brides is "sawer penganten. sawer penganten series contains several other events, such as nyawer, meuleum harupat, nincak endog, open the door, huap lingkung, pabetot bakakak hayam, and ngaleupaskan japati. So, in this study, the author relates the meaning for the sake of meaning from a series of events to Rolland Barthes' semiotic theory of denotation, connotation, and mythical elements. The type of research taken is qualitative, relying on several book references and interviews with several traditional experts to obtain valid and reliable data. Based on the results of the research, it shows that a series of "sawer penganten" ceremonies are more inclined to the elements of belief expressed in the form of figurative meanings and symbols of events. Everything done by the bride and groom and their parents in the sawer penganten activity contains prayers and hopes for a better life for the bride and groom. In fact, it also contains prayers for everyone who is present and joins in praying for the bride and groom so that all those present get blessings from God through the ceremony. In addition, it also contains a lot of advice and provisions for life for all who witness it, especially for the bride and groom as they carry out married life. Everything is carried out in accordance with the laws and regulations of the religion that is fully embraced. Thus, the traditional Sundanese wedding ceremony is a combination of elements of nature, characteristics, beliefs, and religion, all of which support each other so as to create a virtuous human being.

Abstract

Along with the increasing number of social institutions applying for permits as nazhir for cash waqf to the Indonesian Waqf Board (BWI), more and more waqf platforms offer variety of programs. Through these platforms, waqif may choose to contribute to the programs of interest according to their financial abilities. Lack of funds for that particular program will be fulfilled by other waqif who have an interest in the same program. The program will continue to be offered until the target funds needed are accomplished, and accordingly one program of waqf consists of several wakifs. This kind of waqf practice is known as collective waqf. This study seeks to explore the status of collective waqf in Islamic law and Indonesian positive law. It also addresses its urgency in the new trend of waqf practices in Indonesia through examining the case of collective waqf mobilized by the Indonesian Waqf Board (BWI) in building Achmad Wardi Eye Hospital (RSAW) in Serang, Banten. Using a qualitative method of descriptive analysis, this research confirms the legality of collective waqf according to both Islamic law and positive law. Even though the Waqf Law No. 41 of 2004 does not specifically state its permissibility, the guidelines mentioned in Indonesian Waqf Board (BWI) Regulation No. 1 of 2009 concerning the management and development of movable waqf assets in the form of money has provided certain procedures for collective cash waqf. This legal provision implicitly confirms the permissibility of collective waqf. This research also proves that collective waqf increase community's participation to development program for public facilities by fulfilling waqf according to their individual capabilities. The success story of collective waqf organized by the BWI in building and developing Achmad Wardi Eye Hospital becomes a model how collective waqf institution plays important role in providing public health facility built on waqf land with non-governmental funds through cash waqf organization.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze one of the Islamic traditions of the archipelago, namely meroah (Pepujan) taon and balit (Thanksgiving/selametan at the ancestral tomb) as a model of tolerance and integration that has been maintained by the Sasak Islamic community by bringing plantation crops is a form of harmonization of Man and nature intended as a forum for tolerance between Muslims and Buddhists Sasak Lombok. In line with the above, this study is of the view that culture is used as a relationship awareness oriented towards tolerance. the research method used is qualitative-analytic with entnographic approach that focuses on Islamic and Buddhist Sasak communities in Tegal Maja Village, North Lombok. Meroah taon and balit on the one hand is a ritual and on the other hand is a tool for social integration where groups can build social interaction and harmony between tribes. Nevertheless, this tradition is still maintained by the Sasak community who are Muslims and Buddhists. This is called by Islam Nusantara as a dialectic between local culture and Islamic values. Islam Nusantara appreciates the value of culture and Islam as a substantial thing to strengthen tolerance and social integration in a pluralistic society by containing the value of love, brotherhood and mutual cooperation between groups.

Abstract

Abstract There have been many changes in the Banten Muslim community in responding to the Covid-19 vaccination, between before and after the pandemic. During the pandemic, many of them refused vaccination for various reasons, including the halal aspect of the vaccine. However, after the end of the pandemic, refusal to vaccinate is no longer heard, especially in the context of vaccination as a prerequisite for Haji and Umrah trips. This study highlights the perceptions of the Muslim community in Banten regarding halal vaccines after the Covid-19 pandemic by using observational data and interviews with prospective Haji and Umrah pilgrims. The choice of this data was based on the prerequisites for a vaccine certificate that they must have before traveling to the holy land. The formulation of the problem is: What causes the decline in the resistance of the Muslim community in Banten to the Covid-19 vaccination, where not all of them have received halal certification? What is their attitude regarding injecting Doses 2 to Booster of the Covid-19 vaccine that has not complied with the MUI fatwa? Using an analytical-descriptive approach, this study concludes that the fading resistance of the Banten Muslim community to the Covid-19 vaccination is related to their needs and the opinion of the Banten religious leaders who allow vaccinations on the grounds of an emergency.
