Abstract

As known when installing bushing to the housing, the installation speed is a factor that is a concern for successful installation, because the delay in installation time will result in bushings expanding over the diameter of the housing where the bushings cannot fit into the housing hole and need to shrink back so that the bushing can re-enter which of course will require more time. This will reduce installation efficiency. Therefore, this research will develop a method for determining the critical timing of bushing, so that it can be used as a reference for technicians to allocate installation time.Cooling bushing is doneby using a mixture of Alcohol 90% and dry ice to obtain the final cooling temperature of – 50oC with the area of convection, radiation and volume respectively: 0.445 m2, 0.223 m2 and 0.0018 m2. The method used is a combined heat capacity method where the principle of balance energy, bushing is modeled as an object covered by air fluid at a temperature of 29oC and an initial temperature of – 50oC, then the time of transient bushing to reach – 26oC when it occurs right formulated numerically with the help of software Excel obtained a transient (critical time) time value of 270 seconds (4.5 minutes) at – 26oC.

Abstract

Testing the hardness of ST 37 plate material was carried out to determine the effect of welding on changes in the hardness of plate material. Hardness testing is carried out in two stages, namely before welding, the plate material has been tested with rockwell harness scale B, which is 100 kgf (as initial testing), then hardness testing is done again after welding with Oxy- Acetylene welding at pressure 1.5 kg/cm2 of Oxy gas and 0.2 kg/cm2 of Acetylene gas. Hardness testing was carried out on two sides, first in the Heat-Affected Zone (HAZ) area, then in the weld seam area. Plate welding process with welding is by melting the main plate and at the same time as a connecting material (without additional material). From the results of testing before and after welding there is a phenomenon, where the Heat-Affected Zone (HAZ) area increases the hardness of the material, but in the weld joint area (Las seam) it is the opposite. In the HAZ area there was an increase in violence of about 5.3%, but in the weld area (Las Las) there was a decrease in violence reaching 38%.

Abstract

Many of steam turbines designs in over speed can occur. Therefore we need a device to control speed of shaft (Overspeed Trip). Speed of rotor is always maintained so as not to more rotation to hinder uncontrolled. The graph increases between the speed and time of decreasing the rotational speed. In this case, over speed trips were studied using mechanical systems. In Shinko RG64 steam turbine testing with Conversion factor, 900kW max net power turbine. Turbine rated speed 10000 rpm, trip speed multiplier 10%, trip speed 11600 rpm according to API 612: 116% rated. Acceleration turbine, initial Alpha 40.29 rpm / second. OST works following the equation of the centrifugal force where when the trip speed is exceeded the lever will move out. In the results of this simulation, the trip condition is a rotation of 11600 Rpm, for 2.11 seconds and an acceleration of 19.84 Rpm / sec. The result of displacement is 41 mm. Simulation calculations may differ from actual because conditions are affected by other components such as oil quality and condition, mechanism response between components.

Abstract

Current technological developments are much faster than previous periods, so with the use of lighting at this time many types of lights are used for lighting installations. One type of lamp that is popular is LED lights, LEDs have many advantages compared to other lights. However, the LED requires a controller or driver so that the LED can turn on stable and emit maximum light. There are many types of drivers on the market and many literatures that discuss this LED driver. In this paper we discuss two types of LED driver circuit topologies, namely passive or linear topology and active topology or Switching. Analysis of the two types of topologies includes the level of output stability with respect to the rise and decrease in the input voltage and the intensity of the light emitted by each controller.

Abstract

Prototipe sistem pengukur frekuensi meter digital dengan rentang ukur 1 Hz – 100 kHz berbasis mikrokontroler sudah berhasil dibuat dengan memanfaatkan mikrokontroler ATmega328 yang memiliki fasilitas counter resolusi tinggi sampai 65536 (16 bit) pada pin 5 digital Arduino Uno yang difungsikan sebagai penghitung jumlah sinyal. Setelah diuji frekuensi meter yang telah dibuat dapat mengukur frekuensi ukur 1 Hz – 100 kHz yang ditampilkan pada LCD 16×2 karakter. Prototipe frekuensi meter digital ini dapat bekerja bila diberi tegangan sebesar 5 Volt sampai dengan 300 Volt. Dari hasil kalibrasi prototipe frekuensi meter digital pada rentang ukur 1 Hz – 100 kHz dengan function generator didapat bahwa prototipe frekuensi meter ini memiliki kemungkinan error terbesar 10 Hz dengan rata-rata persentase error 0,061%. Telah berhasil dibangun pengukuran prototipe frekuensi meter tersebut dengan resolusi 1 Hz dan akurasi 99,94% relatif skala penuh, sehingga berdasarkan standar IEC no. 13B-23 frekuensi meter digital yang telah dibuat dapat dikategorikan pada kelas 0,1 golongan 1 dengan tingkat presisi tinggi.

Abstract

A water storage unit consisting of 3 interacted tanks, the operation will experience problems if using manual control, because if manual control is not optimal, then when filling the water in the three tanks will cause water overflow which results in a lot of wasted water. Two- position control or "On-Off" is an appropriate control system applied to the water level setting in the tank storage unit. In a two-position control system, if the frequency of the rise and fall of water (Limit Cycle) is large, it will cause an increase in the number of "On-Off" switches and selenoid valve operations per minute, so the system becomes unstable, and will shorten the life component durability. The Describing Function (DF) method is an analytical method that can determine the Limit Cycle frequency based on the width of the water rise and fall distance (hysteresis) of a two position control system, with the aim of determining the hysterical parameters that cause the system to become stable.

XYZ Insurance Indonesia harus mengembangkan teknologi dan sistem informasi yang sudah ada dalam organisasinya. Kebutuhan informasi didapatkan dari arus informasi internal maupun eksternal menggunakan metode Ward dan Peppard serta Anita Cassidy yang kemudian dilakukan pendefinisian kebutuhan perusahaan melalui analisis Critical Success Factors yang dilihat dari keempat perspektif dengan dasar dari analisis SWOT untuk menghasilkan portfolio aplikasi mendatang terdiri yang dari 9 aplikasi yaitu pada kuadran strategic memiliki 3 aplikasi, kuadran key operational memiliki 2 aplikasi, kuadran high potential memiliki 1 aplikasi dan kuadran support memiliki 3 aplikasi.

Abstract

Procurement of goods/services should meet principles of procurement as regulated in Presidential Regulation Number 4 of 2015 on the Fourth Amandement of Presidential Regulation Number 54 of 2010 on Governmental Procurement of Goods/Services. Generally, a procurement process needs a longer time, higher cost, as well as a higher number of persons involved. It is a challenge for a government, especially ULP Kabupaten for example a direct procurement. Thus, monitoring on a direct procurement is required. An application has developed with aim to monitor the procurement process, started from procurement planning until receipt process of goods/services. The model used for the application development is waterfall model. According to the testing conducted in ULP Kabupaten Purwakarta, the application was succeeded to record whole steps of procurement including receipt step, to assist the admin of procurement officer to find out each progress of procurement in real time, and to provide reporting data.
