Abstract

Rice (Oryza sativa L.) is a very important food crop because to date rice is still used as staple food for most of the world population, especially Asia. The impact of natural disasters in the form of long droughts and fertile rice fields that turned the function into industrial and residential areas caused rice production to decline every year. The rice seed requires a large amount of water to be absorbed before germination can occur, which is about two or three times its dry weight. To improve the resistance of rice plants to the stress of drought, it is necessary research that can produce rice plants that are resistant to drought stress. This research examined consistency of morphological response of rice to dryness in germination phase by treatment of Polyethylene Glycol (PEG) solution as osmotic solution. This research was conducted by factorial experiment in Completely Randomized Design (RAL) consisting of 2 factors with 3 replications. The first treatment factor is the variety of rice varieties consisting of 3 varieties of IR64, Ciherang and Pandan Wangi varieties. The second treatment factor was the level of germination solution with PEG 6000, the treatment consisted of 4 levels of solution ie PEG 6000 with 0 g / l water, 10 g / l water, 15 g / l water and 20 g / l water. The results showed that Ciherang varieties of PEG 15 g / l and 20 g / l had good germination and root penetration is best compared with other varieties. The number of root penetrating layers of Ciherang and Pandan Wangi varieties has the largest number of roots compared to IR64 varieties. For plant height, rice plants have an average height ranging from 81.4 - 107, 4 cm with the number of tillers 5-6.

Abstract

Woman partsipation consists of tradition and transition roles.The transition or public role covers woman as a labor, member of society and development as a whole. meanwhile the tradition or domestic role includes women as a wife, mother and household manager. The study was carried out using an approach integrating the quantitative and qualitative research in the basis information about the context, subject and scale construction The result of the study shows that  the phenomenon in the society is woman tends to work harder to earn money for the family and to express themselves.  One indicator of woman role in national development can be seen from an increase in variety of woman job, it does not mean that the woman welfare increase automatically.  The woman face discrimination, not only in domestic sector but also in public sector. Therefore, the dynamic characteristic of woman multifunction is important to be learned

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of dosage and timing of organic fertilizer and their interaction on the growth and yield of sweet corn (Zea mays saccharata Strut).This research method using factorial archetype Randomized Completely Block Design consisting of 2 treatments: 1) dosage of organic fertilizer, which consists of four levels ie dosages of 0 ton / ha (D0), fertilizer dosage 5 ton / ha (D1), fertilizer 10 ton / ha (D2), and a dosage of fertilizer 15 tons / ha (D3). 2) timing of organic fertilizer consists of three levels, namely planting time (W1), one week before planting (W2), and two weeks before planting (W3). The results showed: 1. The treatment dosage very significant effect on the parameters cob length, weight cobs per plant, weight per plant cob without husks, cobs diameter, fresh weight stover, cobs per plot heavy, heavy cob without husks per plot, and the dry weight of stover, significantly the parameters plant height and number of leaves. 2. Treatment time giving real effect on fresh weight parameter stover, no effect on the parameters cob length, weight cobs per plant, weight per plant cob without husks, cobs diameter, plant height, number of leaves, cobs per plot heavy, heavy cob without husks per plot, and the dry weight of stover. 3. The interaction of dosage and time has non sicnificant effect on the parameters cob length, weight cobs per plant, weight of cobs without husks per plant, diameter cobs, stover fresh weight, plant height, number of leaves, cobs per plot heavy, heavy cob without husks per plot , and the dry weight of stover.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of inoculation of Rhizoctonia Binukleat (BNR) and watering variation. This study used a factorial completely randomized design consisting of 2 treatments inoculated with Rhizoctonia binucleic fungi. And not inoculated, the second factor of the watering interval is that every (1, 5, 10, 15) days, there are 8 treatment combinations, each treatment is repeated 3 times. The results showed that 1). Inoculation of R binucleic and watering time interval had no significant effect on soil N content but had significant effect on soil P level that was able to increase P level of soil, 2). Rinukleat inoculation R and watering time interval significantly affect plant height, leaf number and fresh weight of stover 3). Inoculation of R binucleic acid can increase plant height, leaf number and fresh weight, 4). The combination of inoculation of R binucleic and watering time interval did not give real interaction to soil N and P as well as to plant height, leaf number and weight of fresh stover.

Abstract

This study aims to identify mycorrhizal Rhizoctonia, morphology and anatomy, and determine the association of mycorrhizal Rhizoctonia among Vanda tricolor orchid from Kopeng Central Java with Vanda limbata from Malang, Jawa Timur. The research was held in June 2016 until December 2016 at Universitas Tunas Pembangunan Surakarta’s Laboratory. This research used direct observation by isolating the root of Vanda tricolor orchid and Vanda limbata orchid that has growth. The research stages are sampling, sterilization, isolation, purification, identification, data analysis. From the results of this study indicate: (1) there are no differences in mycorrhizal Rhizoctoniashape morphology and anatomy at the root of Vanda tricolor orchid and Vanda limbata orchid. (2) There is a peloton that is associated with the mycorrhizal Rhizoctonia on the roots of Vanda tricolor orchid and Vanda limbata orchid. (3) There are differences in the location of the peloton on the roots of Vanda tricolororchid and Vanda limbata orchid.

Abstract

The research to find out the effect of Beauveria bassiana dose, organicpesticide dose and interaction of Beauveria bassiana with organic pesticide onthe percentage pest attack of berries borer coffee. This study was conducted inCoffee Garden in Kalibening Village of Kebondalem Village of Jambu SubDistrict of Semarang Regency. By using a factorial completely random groupdesign method with two factors. The first factor was the dose of Beauveriabassiana organic controlling agent (A), administration consisting of : A0 =without treatment; A1 = 1 kg/Ha; A2 = 2 kg/Ha; A3 = 3 kg/Ha. The second factorwas the dose of organic pesticide (T) administration consisting of : T1 = 100ml/Ha; T2 = 200 ml/Ha; T3 = 300 ml/Ha. The result showed that the interaction ofBeauveria bassiana dose and organic pesticide dose treatments affectedsignificantly, the lowest percentage of attack occurred in the combination of A3T2treatment as 0,38 % with the Beauveria bassiana dose of 3 kg/ha and the organicpesticide dose of 200 ml/Ha.

Abstract

Abstract:               This study aims to determine the level of farmers 'adoption of the IPM post IPM FFS cocoa Wonogiri, knowing the socio-economic characteristics of farmers IPM FFS in Wonogiri, determine the relationship between socio-economic characteristics at the level of farmers' adoption of the IPM post IPM FFS cocoa Wonogiri. The choice of location is done deliberately or purposive Jatirejo Village, District Girimarto, Wonogiri, and the basic method used in this research is descriptive analytic method. Based on the analysis and discussion it can be concluded that the first level of farmers' adoption of the post IPM IPM FFS Jatirejo cocoa in the village, at the high category The third relationship between socio-economic characteristics at the level of farmers' adoption of the IPM post IPM FFS cocoa Jatirejo Village is a factor of age, non-formal education, income, and the number of tangungan show the relationship is not real, while the factor of formal education, the experience of farmers, and social characteristics the economy is showing real relationship.

Abstract

Rhizoctonia mycorrhizal fungi is a group that has a very important role for the plant anggrekan. Endophyte orchid belonging to the genus Rhizoctonia that consists of three species, namely R. repens, mucoroides R., and R. lanuginose. Rhizoctonia fungus colony morphology sp. contained in preparations or isolates no difference because the preparations are equally white as found in isolates. Different characteristics of the mycorrhizal Rhizoctonia root Vanda limbata Flores seen by colony color hyphae, and the number of cell nuclei. Rhizoctonia mycorrhizal hyphae colonies on the roots of the orchid Vanda limbata has mycelium is brown, there are barriers hyphae (septa) therein, and some have 2 cell nucleus. Mycelium Rhizoctonia sp. in isolates Vanda limbata is large While colonies hyphae Rhizoctonia sp. in isolates Vanda limbata known paler brown, do not have septa, and has a core of more than 1. The mycelium Rhizoctonia sp. on the roots of Vanda limbata which tend to tan and smaller. It can be said mycorrhizal Rhizoctonia contained in Vanda limbata included in binukleat like R. repens group that includes orchid mycorrhizal fungi. While mycorrhizal Rhizoctonia contained in Vanda limbata including nature groups such multinucleate R. solani, T. cucumeris, T. pennatus contained orchids. Binukleat or multinucleate Rhizoctonia group as good because it is as mycorrhizae
