Abstract

Vanilla (Vanilla planifolia Andrews) is one of the important exported commodities in Indonesia. Indonesia is one of top five major vanilla exporters in the world, that produce the high quality of Indonesian vanilla with high vanillin content (2.75%). The aims of this research were to determine the effects of dose binukleat Rhizoctonia (BNR) and phosphorus as well as the interaction of the nitrate reductase activity (NRA) and chlorophyll of the vanilla seedling (Vanilla planifolia Andrew). Method in this research used completely randomized factorial design, by involving two factors (dose of BNR inoculation and Phosphor). The first factor is without inoculation and inoculation BNR (M0, M1, M2, M3) wich consists of (0,5, 10, 15) g/polybag, the second factor is the dose of phosphorus fertilizer (P0, P1, P2, P3) which consists of (0, 3, 6, 9) g/polibag. The results showed that the inoculation dose of BNR and doses of phosphorus not significant and lower levels of NRA and chlorophyll while the interaction dose of BNR and phosphorus significantly and increase levels of NRA and chlorophyll of vanilla seedling. Abstract

Sugarcane (Saccharum officinarum) is a high-value economical crops, only grows in tropical climates of Java and parts of Sumatra. Ratoon stunting disease (RSD) is a vascular disease in sugarcane which its visual symptoms is difficult to detect. The disease has spread across the sugarcane plantations in Indonesia with the percentage of attacks 10-100%. The use of buds chips treatment of seedling plant is an act of reducing pathogen development. The research effect of hot water treatment / HWT (0, 30, 60, and 90 min) and dose application of Trichoderma sp. (0, 25, and 50 g) using 864 varieties, is designed with a completely randomized factorial design. The results showed that Trichoderma sp. able to infect the roots and stems of seedling age 3 months, part of plant tissue increase of protein and proline content, decrease of glucose content so that increase resistance and health in the growth of sugarcane seedling before planting in the land.Tanaman tebu (Saccharum officinarum) adalah tanaman yang bernilai ekonomi tinggi, hanya tumbuh di daerah beriklim tropis terutama di Jawa dan sebagian Sumatra. Penyakit ratoon stunting disease (RSD) merupakan penyakit pembuluh pada tebu yang sulit dideteksi gejala visualnya. Penyakit tersebut telah tersebar di seluruh pertanaman tebu di Indonesia dengan presentase serangan mencapai 10-100%. Penggunaan bahan tanam benih asal mata tunas (bud chip) dapat mengurangi perkembangan patogen. Penelitian pengaruh waktu perendaman air panas (0, 30, 60, dan 90 menit) dan aplikasi dosis jamur Trichoderma sp (0, 25, dan 50 g) terhadap pertumbuhan benih tebu klon 864, dirancang dengan menggunakan rancangan acak lengkap faktorial. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa jamur Trichoderma sp mampu menginfeksi bagian akar dan batang benih umur 3 bulan, pada bagian jaringan tanaman terjadi peningkatan kadar protein dan prolin serta penurunan kadar glukosa sehingga meningkatkan ketahanan dan kesehatan pada pertumbuhan awal benih tebu sebelum ditanam di lahan.

Abstract

AbstrakTujuan penelitian ini adalah menguji perbaikan pertumbuhan dan hasil stevia (Stevia rebaudiana Bertoni M) melalui penggunaan Trichoderma sp. Perbanyakan Trichoderma sp. dilakukan di laboratorium Balai Proteksi Perkebunan di Salatiga Jawa Tengah. Penelitian dirancang menggunakan rancangan factorial dengan dua faktor. Faktor pertama adalah inokulasi Trichoderma sp (To = tanpa Trichoderma sp. & T1 = menggunakan Trichoderma sp. 100 g. Faktor kedua adalah variasi aplikasi perlakuan yaitu: 1). S0 = tanpa perlakuan, 2). S1 = 10 hari sebelum tanam, 3). S3 = tanama dan 4). S3 = 10 hari setelah tanam. Tiap perlakuan diulang tiga ulangan, tiap ulangan terdiri dari 16 tanaman. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa inokulasi Trichoderma sp. dan aplikasi perlakuan S3 = 10 hari setelah tanam dapat meningkatkan pertumbuhan dan hasil dari tanaman tevia.AbstractThe object of this research was examine to repair of growth and yield of stevia (Stevia rebaudiana Bertoni M) by Trichoderma sp. application. Reproduction of Trichoderma sp. performed in the laboratory center of Protection plantation Central of Java at Salatiga.The experiment was arranged in a completely randomized completely factorial design, consisted of two factors. The first factor was Trichoderma sp inoculation which were To = without Trichoderma sp. and T1 = Trichoderma sp. 100 g. The second factor was variation of plant application treatment, which were 1). S0 = without treatment, 2). S1 = 10 days before of planting , 3). S3 = planting and 4). S3 = 10 days after planting. Each treatment was repeated three times and each replicate consisted of 16 plants. The result showed that that the inoculation of Trichoderma sp. and application of treatmen 4 is S3= 10 days after planting increases plant growth and yields of stevia.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilakukan di Laboratorium Klinik Fakultas Pertanian Universitas Gadjah Mada Yogyakarta dan Pusat Penelitian di Laboratorium Biologi Fakultas Pertanian Universitas Gifu di Jepang.Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengidentifikasi dan melakukan anastomosis isolat jamur Rhizoctonia mikoriza (TMG-2, SR-9 dan SR-8). Tester yang digunakan yaitu AG-F SIR.9, AG-F Fko.2.28, and AG-F PS.17. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Identifikasi SR-8 memiliki ciri pada Rhizoctonia binukleat (BNR) dan dikelompokkan kedalam AG-F (teleomorf: Ceratobasidium sp.)The experiment was carried out at the Laboratory of Clinical Plant Pathology, Faculty of Agriculture, Gadjah Mada University in Yogyakarta and the Research Center at the Laboratory of Agriculture Biology, Gifu University in Japan. The objectives of the experiment were to identify and to test anastomosis group of orchid mycorrhizal Rhizoctonia TMG-2, SR-9, and SR-8 isolates. The tester of Rhizoctonia to be used were AG-F SIR.9, AG-F Fko.2.28, and AG-F PS.17. Results of the study showed that SR-8 belongs to binucleate Rhizoctonia (BNR) and grouped into AG F (teleomorph: Ceratobasidium sp).

Abstract

The aims of this research are to study the effec of Rhizoctonia binucleat (BNR) and dosage of phosfor to growth vanilla seedling (Vanilla planifolia Andrew). The research conducted at the Faculty of Agriculture, Tunas Pembangunan University of Surakarta Central of Java Province. The experiment was arranged in a completely randomized factorial design, consisted of two factors. The first factor was BNR inoculation and non inoculation of vanilla seedling (M0, M1, M2, M3) that consisted of (0,5, 10, 15) g/polibag the second factor was phosphor fertilizer (P1, P2, P3) that consisted of (3, 6, 9) g/polibag. The research by using Analysis Variance (ANOVA), if there are differences among treatment continued with Duncan Multiple Range Test (DMRT) at 5 % level. The showed that the research was increase growth (length of bud, number of leaves, gird of stem, fresh weight, dry weight, fresh of root.. The highest result to all parameters of growth was the inoculated BNR 15 g/polibag (M3) and the dosage phosphor fertilizer 9 g/polibag (P3).Key words: Rhizoctonia binukleat (BNR), phosfor, vanilla, growth

Abstract

Permintaan produk olahan pangan yang sehat dan bernutrisi semakin lama semakin bertambah seiring dengan peningkatan kesadaran masyarakat akan pola hidup sehat. Wortel sebagai salah satu komoditas pertanian memiliki kandungan gizi baik yang dapat diolah menjadi berbagai pangan olahan. Selain meningkatkan kreativitas, pengolahan pangan berbasis wortel dapat membantu petani meminimalisir kerugian akibat harga yang anjlok ketika panen raya. Tujuan dari kegiatan pendampingan ini adalah peningkatan partisipasi masyarakat Desa Berjo, Kecamatan Ngargoyoso, Kabupaten Karanganyar melalui pendampingan dan pelatihan. Metode yang digunakan adalah metode pendekatan, sosialisasi, dan pelatihan pengolahan produk pertanian. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan bahwa masyarakat yang berpartisipasi tidak kesulitan dalam melakukan pengolahan produk mie dan nugget wortel. Produk yang dihasilkan dari kegiatan ini berupa inovasi baru mie dan nugget wortel yang mempunyai nilai tambah ekonomi sehingga secara kontinyu dapat menambah pendapatan rumah tangga masyarakat Desa Berjo.

Abstract

Sumber daya alam yang melimpah baik dari tanaman maupun dari hewan dapat digunakan secara maksimal untuk kegiatan pertanian sehingga meningkatkan pendapatan petani, meningkatkan kualitas dan kuantitas hasil pertanian. Ternak sapi merupakan salah satu hewan yang menghasilkan limbah baik padat maupun cair. Tujuan umum kegiatan pengabdian yaitu memanfaatkan limbah ternak cair secara maksimal, target khusus yang ingin dicapai adalah dapat memanfaatkan limbah ternak khususnya urin sebagai bahan baku pembuatan pupuk organik cair (POC) yang ramah lingkungan. Program ini juga bertujuan untuk bisa memanfaatkan dan mengurangi polusi yang disebabkan oleh kotoran ternak. Sedangkan metode yang digunakan dalam pengabdian pada masyatarakat ini adalah simulasi dan demonstrasi, sedangkan kelompok sasaran adalah petani ternak bertempat di Desa Kwangsan Kecamatan Jumapolo, Kabupaten Karanganyar. Pelaksanaan pendampingan pembuatan POC berjalan lancar, mudah dilakukan secara mandiri melalui demonstrasi. Hasil pengabdian masyarakat diharapkan dapat meningkatkan pengetahuan dan pengalaman memanfaatkan limbah ternak sebagai bahan baku pukuk organik yang ramah lingkungan

Abstract

Peranan Mikro Organisme Lokal (MOL) sebagai salah satu materi yang berguna bagi pertanian perlu mendapatkan perhatian dan adanya pengujian serta penelitian lebih lanjut. Sebagai Biofertilizer berbasis mikroorganisme diharapkan mampu memperbaiki struktur dan tekstur tanah, biologi tanah serta menyeimbangkan kembali ekosistem pertanian, baik lingkungan rhizosfer maupun lingkungan di atas rhizosfer. Artikel ini berupaya memberikan gambaran dan penjelasan terkait program kerja pembuatan MOL, meliputi proses, tahapan, hasil, dan manfaatnya. Penulisan artikel ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan model deskriptif-eksplanatif. Hasilnya, masyarakat menerima pemahaman dan wawasan baru dalam hal pemanfaatan limbah tanaman dan limbah rumah tangga. Selain itu, petani dapat mengurangi penggunaan bahan pupuk organic dari luar dan juga pupuk organik pupuk buatan pabrik yang umumnya sudah banyak digunakan oleh petani di desa lain, sehingga dapat meminimalkan pengeluaran masyarakat petani desa dalam proses bercocok tanam. Artikel ini diharapkan dapat berkontribusi dalam keilmuan pertanian serta praktik dan strategi pengimplementasian pengembangan pertanian organik.

Abstract

ABSTRACT The research of influence oven system scarification to germination and early growth of teak plants (Tectona grandis L.F), the aim of this research to search the effect of temperature and time of ovening for the germination and the growth of teak seed. Research  have been executed  in Departemen of Agriculture inUTP.  4Mart    2006 up to 15    August 2006. This research used Completely Randomized Design  with pattern treatment of single factor consisting of 3 times restating, covering;1. Ovens temperature 20º C during 60,120,180, 240 minutes;2. Ovens temperature  30º C during 60, 120,180, 240 minutes;3. Ovens temperature 40º C during 30, 60, 120,  180, 240 minutes. The result of research concluded as follow is: High of crop, amount of leaf,  bar diameter, radiks volume its influence significant different, for the weight of is fresh biomass weight and dry biomass weight is significant different. Best result of the research is B2 at treatment of ovening of temperature 20º C during 120 minutes. High heavy growth 50,83 gr. Obtained  of  treatment of A1 (ovens temperature 20º C during 120 minutes). While lowest growth of teak seed 25,42 gr from A1 treatment (ovens temperature 20º C during 60 minutes).

Abstract

This Research purposed to know the effect of plant spacing and chicken manure of dosage and interactions to growth and yield of potato plant (Solanum tuberosum L). Research have been done at 22 September to 23 December 2007,in Mlandi village, Subdistrict of Garung Regency of Wonosobo, Province Central of Java  the place height 1.250 m above sea level. The research used factorial method Randomyzed Completely Block Design (RCBD) two treatment, 3 replication, were : 1) The plants spacing (J1 = 60x30 cm, J2 = 70x30 cm, J3 = 80x30 cm). 2) The chicken manure dosage (P1 = 10 ton/ha, P2 = 15 ton/ha, P3 = 20 ton/ha ). The Result of the research : 1) The plants spacing treatment very significant on height of plant, fresh and dry weight of crown per plant, fresh weight and volume of tuber per plant and weight of tuber per plot, but non significant to weight of tuber per plant. 2) The treatment of chicken manure dosage very significant of plant to fresh weight of crown, volume of tuber, weight and total of tuber, and dry weight of crown. 3) Interactions between the plants spacing and chicken manure dosage very significant on the height of plant, dry weight of crown per plant, and total of tuber per plot. But significant to fresh weight of crown, fresh weight and total of tuber also volume of tuber, and total of tuber. 4) The height weight of tuber on combination treatment J2 P3 ( The treatment plant spacing 70x30 cm and chicken manure dosage 20 ton/ha ) was 20,33 kg per plot (31 ton/ha). The lowest weight of tuber on combination treatment J3 P2 ( The treatment plant spacing 80x30 cm and chicken manure dosage 15 ton/ha ) was 10,17 kg per plot (15 ton/ha).
