Abstract

Affine cipher is a classic cryptographic algorithm substitution technique. Substitution technique is the encryption process for every character in the plaintext will be subtituted by another character. Affine cipher uses two types of keys. Each character of plaintext to be encrypted substituted by the same key. This research discusses about modify one of the key affine cipher, to produce a different key that will be substituted with each plaintext character. Key modifications are made by the Fibonacci sequence rules. This study also compares affine cipher and key modification affine cipher by finding corelation coeffiecient values. The results obtained from the comparison of the two algorithms, encryption that uses affine cipher key modification is better than affine cipher. Abstract

Forecasting is a time series analytic that used to find out upcoming improvement in the next event using past events as a reference. One of the forecasting models that can be used to predict a time series is Kalman Filter method. The modification of the estimation method of Kalman Filter is Ensemble Kalman Filter (EnKF). This research aims to find the result of EnKF algorithm implementation on SARIMA model. To start with, preticipation forecast data is changed in the form of SARIMA model to obtain some SARIMA model candidates. Next, this best model of SARIMA applied to Kalman Filter models. After Kalman Filter models created, forecasting could be done by applying pass rainfall data to the models. It can be used to predict rainfall intensity for next year. The quality of this forecasting can be assessed by looking at MAPE’s value and RMSE’s value. This research shows that enkf method relative can fix sarima method’s model, proved by mape and rmse values which are smaller and indicate a more accurate prediction. Abstract

In this paper, we use a metaheuristic algorithm for solving non-linear equations (polynomial equations) which have a set of complex roots (complex numbers). The metaheuristic algorithm is the Cockroach Swarm Optimization Algorithm (CSOA) which imitate various types of natural cockroach behaviors such as chase-swarming, dispersing and ruthlessness when hunting for food sources. In this study, several examples of non-linear polynomial equations were used for evaluating the accuracy of CSOA. In this simulation, the accuracy comparison has been accomplished. It is shown that CSOA results are more accurate compared to the Newton-Raphson results. Abstract

Different types of plants make identification difficult. Therefore, we need a system that can identify the similarity of the leaves based on a reference leaf. Extraction can be done by taking one part of the plant and the most easily obtained part is the leaf part. Natural objects such as leaves have irregular shapes and are difficult to measure, but this can be overcome by using fractal dimensions. In this research, image detection of plant leaves will be carried out using the box counting method. The box counting method is a method of calculating fractal dimensions by dividing images into small boxes in various sizes. Image detection using fractal dimension values, we know which leaves the match with the reference. In this study,10 species of leave were tested, with each species 10 samples of plant leaves. Image testing of plant leaves uses a variety of r box size, namely 1/2 ,1/4 , 1/8 , 1/16 ,1/32 , 1/64 , 128which obtain an average match accuracy of 44%. Keywords: Box Counting, Fractal dimension

Abstract

Cryptography is knowledge of encoding data to ensure the confidentiality, security, validity and integrity of data. Cryptography is divided into two namely classical cryptography and modern cryptography. One example of modern cryptography is the Electronic Code Book (ECB). Electronic Code Book (ECB) is a modern cryptographic method used to encrypt and decrypt text, images and more. The image is formed from several pixels which consist of several bits in a pixel. Bits are divided into two namely Least Significant Bit (LSB) and Most Significant Bit (MSB).LSB is the four rightmost bits while MSB is the leftmost four bits of a pixel. The purpose of this study is to compare the level of security of Electronic Code Book (ECB) image security results with the results of securing an Electronic Code Book (ECB) modified image. The data used in this study are 8 RGB and Greyscale images also a key in the form of one ASCII character. The results obtained show that securing images with modified Electronic Code Book (ECB) is safer than securing images with Electronic Code Book (ECB) based on histogram analysis, differential analysis and correlation coefficients. Abstract

When the projectile is shot into the air, the main force affecting the motion of projectile, other than gravity, is air resistance. This slowing down force is drag force, and it acts in a direction opposite to the velocity of the projectile. For the projectiles moving through the air at relatively low speeds, however, the drag force is proportional to the speed and so is called linear. The aim of this paper is to discuss the projectile motion by considering air friction as linear resistance. The results obtained show that the projectile motion model with linear resistance is more complex in formulating maximum height and range than the model without air friction force.

Abstract

The end cup consists of the crown, head and neck, while the hook consists of a stand and a hook. This study aimed to obtain various of shapes vary. The modeling can be done with deformation techniques such as interpolation and Bezier curves. The method of this study uses three step namely constructing the basic objects of the geometry, arranging these basic objects on one modeling axis, and visualization with Maple 18. This study obtained 160 the models of end cup and 8 models hook consisting of geometric shapes of tube, cone, sphere, the beam, torus, and the octagonal prism.

Abstract

When the Integer Programming (IP) has several constraints, we need to reduce the constraints for getting feasible solution in a relative short time. One of the available methods is the Lagrange relaxation method, that reduces constraints by including complicated constraints set into the objective function as penalty with respect to the set of nice constraints. If the constraints and λ values are chosen well, it tends to be a reasonably tightest bound in finding optimal solution and solving IP quickly. The purpose of this paper is to discuss how to solve IP by using Lagrange relaxation approach, find out relation among optimal solution of Linear programming, IP and relaxation Lagrange (dual Lagrange), and understanding this method via an example.

Abstract

Door handles are one of the important parts of a door that is used as a handle when closing or opening the door. Door handles are divided into three parts, which are the body part, the leg part, and the footgear part. The study was designed to model the shapes of the door handles using the Bezier curve method, dilatation deformation, and translation deformation, so that the shapes of the door handle become more various and symmetrical. The method of this study was divided into several steps. First, the body part, the leg part, and the footgear part of the door handles were modeled. Then, the model of the every part of the door handles from the previous step were combined. The results of this study were modelling the door handles.Keywords: Bezier curve, dilatation, door handle, translation.

Abstract

The decision to determine grade of optimum supply on uncertainty demand or mainly unknowing could accomplish with Buyer-approach method.The demand with mainly unknowing can assumed as Poisson distribute.Completion with Buyer-approach method could be starting with count of posterior Gamma have distributed from prior Gamma with α and ß parameter. At the end the result of counting above can compared with proportion between supply and demand until we get a stable-grade of supply.
