Abstract

This study aimed to assess the impact of utilizing cartoon movies as a learning medium in teaching monologue to enhance speaking abilities among junior high school students. Employing a pretest-treatment-posttest design within a pre-experimental study model, the research focused on a classroom using the cartoon movie "Ponyo" alongside the conventional program-based teaching method. The interactive and culturally rich Japanese cartoon with a theme centered on teen imagination was applied in the treatment, involving 29 students from class B. The results, based on monologue technique assessments, demonstrated favorable opinions from students regarding the cartoon movie medium. However, while the findings indicated an improvement in speaking abilities, the effect was not statistically significant. This study provides insights into the potential of cartoon movies as an engaging educational tool and suggests avenues for further research and instructional refinement. Highlights : The study explores the use of cartoon movies as a dynamic medium for enhancing monologue instruction in junior high school settings. While student opinions on the cartoon medium were positive, the research highlights a significant yet non-statistically significant improvement in speaking abilities, suggesting further avenues for exploration and instructional development. "Ponyo," a culturally rich Japanese cartoon, is employed to supplement traditional teaching methods, fostering interactive learning experiences. This research resulted in identification of companies in an effort to improve the safety of all work in the roll forming machine area to avoid unsafe actions and unsafe conditions, as well as the use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) by adjusting the type of work being carried out and the lack of awareness about the importance of tools. Personal Protection (PPE). Highlights : Quantifying Risk: Using HIRARC method to assess and quantify potential work accident risks provides a structured approach to understanding and addressing safety concerns. Qualitative Research Approach: Employing field observations, literature study, and in-depth interviews allows for a comprehensive understanding of the factors contributing to workplace accidents. Emphasis on Prevention: Identifying unsafe actions and conditions underscores the importance of proactive measures, such as proper PPE usage and raising awareness among employees, to mitigate occupational risks. Abstract

This study investigates the psychological impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on dental students at Baghdad University College of Dentistry. Conducted between December 2021 and January 2022, this cross-sectional survey aligns with ethical guidelines and the Helsinki Declaration. The study utilized Cochran's equation to determine a sample size of at least 400, ensuring a 95% confidence level with a 5% margin of error. The Perceived Stress Scale (PSS) and the Covid Student Stress Questionnaire (CSSQ) were employed as primary tools, assessing general and COVID-19-related stress, respectively. A total of 411 students participated, with 67.50% experiencing moderate to severe stress (PSS <14) and 58.8% reporting average levels of COVID-related stress (CSSQ <7). Notably, there was a significant positive correlation between the PSS and CSSQ scores (P = 0.008). The analysis, conducted using IBM SPSS Statistics software V26, included descriptive statistics, Cronbach's alpha for reliability, and Pearson Correlation for assessing correlations. The findings indicate that a substantial proportion of dental students experienced heightened stress levels, potentially leading to mental health disorders like cognitive impairment. These results emphasize the need for universities to enhance psychological support and for government bodies to implement comprehensive health education and awareness programs. This study not only sheds light on the immediate psychological effects of the pandemic on dental students but also serves as a foundational reference for future interventions aimed at reducing stress levels in this demographic. Highlights: Dental students have experienced significant psychological impacts from the COVID-19 pandemic. The pandemic has caused increased stress, anxiety, and depression among dental students. Remote learning and decreased clinical experience have contributed to the negative psychological effects. Providing social and emotional support is important in mitigating the psychological impact of the pandemic on dental students. Keywords: COVID-19, SARS-CoV-2, Student, Dental, Stress

Abstract

Fraud that occurs in MSME players today is increasingly diverse. Fraud can take the form of financial statement fraud, mixing personal finances with business finances or dishonesty in running a business. This causes a prolonged dilemma for MSME actors in managing business income. Many MSMEs have not been able to manage good financial reports. This Research Objective is used to gain a deeper understanding of the behavior and detection of fraud that occurs in Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) based on the Fraud Triangle Theory and the efforts made by MSMEs in preventing and detecting fraud early. The type of sample experiment research used is the random method. The method of collecting information through direct observation and questions, FGDs and the technique of using documentation in the data collection process. The data analysis approach involves the steps of data reduction, data presentation and data verification. The results of the analysis explain that MSME actors do not all carry out financial statement management and still carry out a lot of fraud. The implications of this research contribute to the understanding of fraud, especially by forensic accountants, auditors, fraud examiners and anti-fraud examiners who are used to see fraud in MSMEs. Abstract

The impact of Information Technology (IT) on the management of Islamic boarding schools (ponpes) is profound, yet administrative tasks often remain handled through traditional means, leading to inefficiencies. This research aims to address this gap by developing a basic prototype of an Islamic boarding school enterprise system, focusing on optimizing information management across various administrative domains. Employing the System Development Life Cycle (SDLC) prototype method, the study progresses through needs analysis, design, prototype construction, evaluation, implementation, and maintenance phases. The prototype system, tested at Darul Atsar Islamic boarding school, demonstrates significant improvements in academic, secretarial, student, financial management, and reporting processes. This study underscores the potential of IT integration to streamline routine tasks and enhance decision-making in Islamic educational institutions, contributing to broader discussions on educational technology adoption and management optimization. Highlights: Administrative efficiency: Enterprise system streamlines tasks across academic, secretarial, student, and financial domains. Data-driven decision-making: Prototype system empowers administrators with comprehensive reporting for strategic planning.
