Abstract

Lightweight concrete is concrete that has a lighter density than concrete in general. Lightweight concrete is made by adding air pores to the concrete mixture. Concrete has the benefits of its constituent materials which consist of fine aggregate, water, Portland cement, coarse aggregate, and other added materials. Concrete also has a weakness, namely its high specific gravity. So the dead load on the structure will become large. Therefore, innovation in concrete technology is expected to be able to answer all the challenges of needs, one of which is environmentally friendly and has a low specific gravity, or what is called lightweight concrete. The method in the thesis consists of 2 methods, namely literature study and laboratory testing method. This laboratory testing is carried out with the aim of knowing the results of testing carried out with process stages starting from literature study, material testing, making mix designs, mixing materials, slump testing, making test objects, curing, testing compressive strength and split tensile strength then drawing conclusions . The results of the compressive strength value of the test object with the addition of 40% styrofoam and light brick had an average compressive strength of 10.85 and when the composition was reduced to 30% the compressive strength increased by 51%, namely 21.1 Mpa, whereas when the composition was reduced to 20% the compressive strength increased by 53%, namely 22.7, while the splitting tensile strength value of the test object with the addition of styrofoam and lightweight bricks of 40% had an average splitting tensile strength of 0.875 and when the composition was reduced to 30% the average splitting tensile strength increased by 13.8%, namely amounted to 1.2 Mpa, while when the composition was reduced to 20% the average splitting tensile strength increased by 18.3%, namely 1.6 Mpa.

Abstract

This paper explains the importance of paying attention to research subjects in a study whose existence is a bridge between theory and practice. Because it focuses on quantitative methods, it only discusses population and samples. The method used is library research with a qualitative descriptive approach. After conducting the research, it can be concluded that population refers to the entire subject or object that is the target of research, while the sample is part of the population chosen to represent the entire population. The selection of the right population and sample is very important in research because this will affect the quality of the data, the accuracy of the results, and the conclusions drawn.

Abstract

The rapid development of the Internet of Things (IoT) has transformed various industries, and education is no exception. The implementation of IoT in education presents significant opportunities to enhance the quality of learning by creating interactive, connected, and personalized educational environments. This paper explores the potential benefits and challenges associated with integrating IoT technologies into educational systems. By leveraging smart devices, sensors, and real-time data, IoT can improve learning experiences, increase student engagement, and optimize classroom management. IoT-enabled solutions, such as smart classrooms, remote learning tools, and personalized learning pathways, provide real-time feedback and insights, helping educators track student progress and tailor instruction to individual needs. Additionally, IoT enhances collaboration and communication among students, educators, and educational institutions. However, the successful integration of IoT requires overcoming challenges related to infrastructure, security, and privacy concerns. This paper discusses the current trends in IoT applications in education, examines case studies, and provides recommendations for effectively implementing IoT to improve educational outcomes. Ultimately, the adoption of IoT has the potential to revolutionize learning by making it more interactive, efficient, and student-centered.

Abstract

Peningkatan volume dan beban kendaraan mengakibatkan kerusakan jalan yang signifikan, sehingga dibutuhkan solusi inovatif untuk memperbaiki struktur perkerasan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengevaluasi pengaruh kuat tekan aspal hasil ekstraksi recycling asphalt dengan penambahan semen Portland sebagai filler pada lapisan AC-WC serta menentukan kadar aspal optimum (KAO). Metode penelitian mencakup studi literatur dan eksperimen laboratorium terhadap material recycling asphalt yang diambil dari bongkaran aspal, serta pengujian karakteristik fisik dan mekanik material menggunakan metode Marshall. Hasil pengujian menunjukkan bahwa material recycling asphalt dengan tambahan semen Portland memiliki KAO sebesar 4,30%, lebih rendah dibandingkan dengan aspal konvensional yang mencapai 6,50%. Stabilitas material recycling asphalt sebesar 676 kg, lebih rendah dibandingkan stabilitas aspal konvensional sebesar 1005 kg. Penambahan semen Portland meningkatkan sifat mekanik namun tidak sepenuhnya memenuhi standar spesifikasi. Kesimpulan penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa material recycling asphalt dengan tambahan semen Portland dapat digunakan kembali untuk perkerasan lentur, meskipun memiliki keterbatasan dalam ketahanan. Implikasi penelitian ini adalah memberikan solusi alternatif yang lebih ramah lingkungan untuk konstruksi jalan dengan memanfaatkan material daur ulang.
