Abstract

Regarding the differences in the determination of the beginning of the month of Qamariyah there is no exception for several community organizations in Indonesia. One of them Al-Irsyad Al-Islamiyah community organization. According to exusting sources the organization of the community uses rukyatul hilal, but on the other hand it also uses hisab. After finding the two, the decision making process is still waiting for the government. The Al-Irsyad Al-Islamiyah community organization complies with government decisions, although in its organization there is a decree but it is only temporary. The government is a certainly mediator and does not take sides or corner existing comuunity organizations. It‟s just that there is a decision of the best definite government and has missed observations also calculations which are expected to be aceepted and can embrace all social organizations in Indonesia. Keywords : Al-Irsyad Al-Islamiyah, Rukyatul Hilal and Hisab

Abstract

The form of diversity in Indonesia is not only about ethnicity, race, religion, etc. It is also related to the calendar used by society in ancient times. The calendar or calendar in Indonesia to be precise on the island of Java is very diverse. Where each period uses a different calendar (from Pre-Islamic to Islam entered the island of Java). The diversity includes the use of the pre-national calendar, candrasengkala, Saka, Islam, Java Islam and AD. The writing of this paper was carried out by means of literature review (using a variety of literature, including books, journals, scientific articles, and so on). The result of his research is the Javanese Islamic calendar which is a form of acculturation of the Javanese calendar and the Islamic calendar. The beginnings of the Javanese Islamic calendar are 1555 J to 1626 J. The 1st Suro year of alip is on Friday Legi (A'ahgi = the year alip Jum'at legi). There are separate provisions in the Javanese Islamic calendar, namely the year following the Saka year and the calendar system using the hijriyah calendar system. In this day and age, the Javanese Islamic calendar system is inherent in the Javanese tradition of commemorating religious holidays, determining good and bad days of marriage, commemorating the yesterday's slametan procession, there are even communities that still hold tightly to the Javanese Islamic calendar or what is called the Aboge Islamic community.Keywords: calendar, Java, Islam.

Abstract

Ilmu Hisab atau yang biasa disebut dengan ilmu falak tidak hanya berguna untuk penguasaan dan pengembangan ilmu pengetahuan dan teknologi dalam bidang astronomi, tetapi juga untuk keperluan yang berkaitan dengan masalah-masalah ibadah umat Islam seperti salat, puasa dan haji. Serta dalam penentuan arah kiblat, penentuan waktu salat, penentuan awal bulan kamariah, hari-hari besar Islam, dan untuk penentuan saat terjadinya peristiwa gerhana (bulan dan matahari), serta penentuan waktu imsakiah dalam bulan Ramadan. Dalam bulan Ramadan kita mengenal waktu imsak. Secara bahasa Imsak bermakna menahan. Yaitu, waktu tertentu sebelum subuh saat kapan biasanya kaum Muslimin mulai menahan dari makan dan minum. Pada beberapa masjid di Kab. Gowa dalam menentukan waktu imsak hampir setiap masjid menggunakan pengumuman stasiun RRI yang diumumkan setiap hari pada bulan Ramadhan yang berpatokan pada waktu Kota Makassar. Hal ini tentu saja berbeda dengan waktu Kabupaten Gowa yang berbeda lintang dan bujur dengan Kota Makassar.  Perbedaan tersebut tentu saja berpengaruh terhadap masuknya awal waktu salat dan jadwal imsakiah yang dkeluarkan oleh Kementerian Agama Kab. Abstract

 Peristiwa-peristiwa penciptaan alam semesta telah banyak diteliti oleh para filosof yang berusaha mencari kebenaran melalui dialog antara sains dan agama. Dalam dunia sains Islam, telah banyak menyingkap rahasia-rahasia penciptaan alam semesta yang banyak terkandung dalam Ayat-ayat Al-Quran. Lontraq Kutika adalah salah satu manuskrip kuno yang merupakan kitab Astrologi yang ditulis oleh leluhur Masyarakat suku Bugis-Makassar. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk menambah khazanah keilmuan dengan melahirkan beragam dialog yang saling berafiliasi didasari dari dengan nilai-nilai budaya lokal, bahasa, agama, dan sejarah dengan membawa ciri khas yang memiliki ruang gerak bersifat primordial dan tradisional. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah deskriptif kualitatif dengan menggunakan pendekatan historis sosio-antropologis dan  normatif. Hasil penenlitian ini menunjukkan bahwa kemajuan pengetahuan dan kosmologi tidak hanya didasari oleh sains dan agama, tetapi budaya juga turut menafsirkan penciptaan alam semesta seperti yang terkandung dalam manuskrip/lontaraq Kutika yang juga berisi tentang penanggalan hari.Kata kunci: Alam Semesta, Kutika, Sains Islam.

Abstract

Prayer is mandatory worship for Muslims all over the world. One of the legal requirements of prayer is facing towards the Qibla. If a Muslim prayer is facing a direction other than Qibla, its prayer is not valid. The Islamic Mecca is the Kaaba, between east amd west. This paper will be explained to prayer to face the Kaaba. This obligation applies to those who can see the Kaaba in person (‘ainul Ka’bah) and who are in the region far from the Kaaba and cannot see it firsthand, it is imperative to face the Kaaba (jihatul Ka’bah). The scholars, however, agreed that those who could not see the Kaaba would have permission to know the direction of the Kaaba (jihatul Ka’bah), which would require them to look at the building of the Kaaba (‘ainul Ka’bah). ‘Ainul Ka’bah is the building of the Kaaba in Mecca. Whereas Jihatul Ka’bah was the direction to the Kaaba.

Abstract

Hilal is the visible crescent phenomenon that appears from the Earth's surface after the ijtima. The appearance of the hilal is inevitable  after the ijtima event of the Sun and Moon in one astronomical longitude at each end of the month toward the beginning of the month. This raises some perspectives among experts, whether the hilal is visible and can be seen or not. It is not uncommon controversy for each other because they have not found agreement in the interpretation of the hilal. Abstract

The solar eclipse will take place if the moon is between the Earth and sun as well as its shadow touches the Earth. Some hadiths narrated that the phenomena had occurred in the era of Prophet saw. then He commanded Muslims to perform prayer, remembrance, and donation. Hence, the solar eclipse in Islam is crucial as it is respected to worship to God. The objective of this paper is to calculate the solar eclipse using Meeus Algorithm. After preparing the Bessel elements and arranging the Meeus Algorithm, it can be determined accurately both the eclipse type, time, place, path width of the eclipse and the sun position as it lasts. Sun eclipse calculation using Meeus algorithm on June, 21th 2020 results 1.380 N and 18.060 E for the coordinate, 0.28 for altitude, azimuth of 66.56, 84.9 km width, as well as total duration of 1 minutes 22.3 and seconds. Those all are accurate due to the similarity with NASA calculation using ELP and VSOP87 algorithm.
