Abstract

Tertulian is the Latin father of the church who eradiated many writings; and “de Anima” is one of his important writing, which treats about soul. In this writing, Tertulian wrote his polemic with Platonism and Stoicism philosophy. Both philosophies have advantage and disadvantage. Tertulian as a philosopher and believer profits these philosophies of advantage and disadvantage in his polemic about soul with the philosophers. At the end of his polemic, he concludes that the both philosophies could be a great help for the teaching of soul, but also be a seed of heresy.

Abstract

The effect of the Dutch colonialism in Indonesia can still be observed in the historiography on the Indonesian Churches. It is partly due to the fact that the colonialism was closely related to christian missions. After the proclamation of the Indonesian Independence, the progress of the Indonesian nationalism has influenced the way of the historians to chart the history of Indonesian, as well as that of the Catholic Church, in the light of this conception. In this article, we will reflect on the meaning of the historical truth by taking into consideration some ideas in the political theology in so far as these can be observed in the reflections of J.B. Metz. And in so doing, we intend to learn how to prevent ourselves from proclaiming that we have the historical truth.

Aktualitasnya untuk Indonesia diulas mengingat Indonesia juga sedang bergolak dalam merajut kembali integritasnya sebagai bangsa.

The article draws theologically plurality in the Islamic perspectives. It shows that in the Quran what we call plurality is theologically inserted. The Indonesian Moslems promote plurality in their lives and tolerant witness to other people of the different religions.
