Abstract

Restrictions on activities carried out by the government to suppress the spread of COVID-19, which has lasted for two years, have disrupted community activities. This causes people to carry out activities online or online through digital-based platforms. The use of computer technology for the application of information systems and business is very necessary. This research uses the Waterfall Model System Development Life Cycle (SDLC) development method using data analysis and system design, namely Unified Modeling Language (UML) . This travel information system aims to assist the marketing department in the Tourism Office in conducting tourism promotions and conveying information about travel to consumers or visitors such as tourists. For visitors, this system functions to order travel at the destination by selecting a destination, then the system will take the tour detail page and trip list. Then the trip list section will provide a booking order, after completing the required data input, the system will display a visitor dashboard page to upload proof of payment.

Abstract

This research generally discusses the service and data management in the Department of Marine Affairs and Fisheries who still store documents in hard files, This problem arises because the fisherman administration service at the Maritime Affairs and Fisheries Service is still using manual methods in managing data and data storage, causing data management and administrative services to take a slow time and sometimes the existing data is no longer accurate. From the needs of the community, they have a desire for these services to be fast, reliable, transparent, and trustworthy services. With the service information system and web-based data management, it makes it easier for the public and admins to access and find out fisherman data by accessing anywhere. The tool is used to describe the system model in the form of Entity Relationship Diagram (ERD). To implement the service information system and fisherman data management, supporting components are needed to work properly. The component uses Laravel framework programming and stores database in MySQL. The results of this research and application are expected to be able to overcome existing problems and be useful for those concerned.

Abstract

In this modern and sophisticated era, technology has become a part of everyday life. Almost everything that is usually done manually, one example is the System. Payroll Information. Payroll Information System is a way to recap salaries and make reports on employee salary slips by using the internet as a medium. With the Payroll Information System website, it is hoped that it will make it easier for the company to recap employee salaries and make employee salary slip so that they can work effectively and efficiently in the process. In this study the author uses the prototype method using the PHP programming language with the Codeigniter3 framework. This employee payroll information system aims to assist in the admin process of managing employee payroll data and making it easier for employees to view and print salary data. The results of this employee payroll information system are 2 users, namely admin and employees.

Abstract

Fire is one of the most common disasters, and the denser the population, the higher the risk of fire. One area that has a high fire potential is the densely populated city of Samarinda. One way to mitigate or prevent fire hazards is by utilizing the learning process at school, especially in geography subjects. The purpose of this research is to produce augmented reality media design based on spatial thinking skills on fire disaster mitigation material and to determine the feasibility of using augmented reality learning media based on spatial thinking skills in geography subjects. This research is development research, where the developed media is tested to material experts and media experts before being tested on students. Data analysis used qualitative and quantitative methods, with quota sampling techniques. The results showed that the product in the form of 3D Augmented Reality (AR) learning media application named ‘AR Fire Mitigation’ can be used on smartphones. This application is offline and does not require internet access. This product is also equipped with a supporting book that contains 2D and 3D images with explanations for each material. The supporting book discusses fire disaster mitigation materials, including the characteristics of fire-prone and non-fire-prone areas, the impact of fires, types of fires, classification of fires, mitigation during a fire, causes of fires, fire disaster mitigation scenarios, and conditions of residential and land fires. The learning media developed is considered feasible based on the average results of user trials of 88.92%, so that the learning media products and supporting books produced are categorized as feasible.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the level of usability in the Learning Application System (STAR) at Mulawarman University using the System Usability Scale (SUS) method. Mulawarman University is a university in Indonesia located in Samarinda City and is currently trying to innovate in the educational aspect. Learning Application System (STAR) is a website designed to support the academic teaching and learning process at Mulawarman University. STAR Unmul can be accessed by lecturers and students. The existence of STAR Unmul which can be accessed via gadgets is very helpful for students in the lecture process. However, to ensure that the teaching and learning process runs optimally, STAR Unmul needs to be evaluated to determine how high the level of usability is in supporting the teaching and learning process at Mulawarman University

Abstract

The West Kalimantan Province Health Service has a competency test registration service for promotions to functional positions for health workers via Google Form, however, the use of Google Form does not support registration, so it has difficulty verifying the Competency Test registration files. So it takes a long time to check each registrant one by one manually. For this reason, the West Kalimantan Health Functional Competency Test Registration System Application was created which is expected to make it easier for registrants and admins in the Health Human Resources, Data, and Health Information Technology fields to verify participant files. The development method used in making this application is the Waterfall method. The waterfall method is a systematic development method that goes from one stage to another. The essence of the waterfall method is that work on a system is carried out sequentially or linearly. Meanwhile, the software that will be used to build this application is Laravel, Bootstrap, and PHP. This research produced the Application which can provide registration services, upload files for competency tests, view data that has been registered, correct data if it needs to be corrected, and also print competency test participant cards. Based on the results of application testing which has been carried out by testing directly with the Admin of the West Kalimantan Provincial Health Service, it is running as it should.

Abstract

Rabies remains a lethal zoonotic disease, claiming over 60,000 lives annually. Despite medical advancements, inadequate treatment and lack of awareness contribute to persistently high mortality rates. To enhance public education and engagement in rabies prevention, this study develops an educational game, “Survival Horror: Rabies Outbreak.” The game integrates a 3D isometric survival horror experience with real-world information on rabies transmission, prevention, and emergency responses. Players assume the role of a police officer delivering anti-rabies vaccines to infected residents while evading aggressive rabid animals. The game employs the A* (A Star) Pathfinding algorithm to enhance enemy AI, allowing dynamic and optimized pursuit behavior, thereby increasing realism and challenge. Beta testing with 10 respondents demonstrated that 60% of users rated the game positively, confirming its effectiveness as both an educational tool and an engaging survival-horror experience. The integration of AI-driven pathfinding with gamified learning provides a novel approach to public health education, offering an immersive method for raising awareness and fostering initiative-taking rabies prevention measures.
