Abstract

This research aims at answering some research questions: How was the shirkah system and the implementation of profit sharing in the new normal era, as well as the benefits and obstacles of implementing the shirkah contract at Warung Sate Joenedin. The research method used is qualitative descriptive analysis approach. Data collection is conducted through observation, documentation, and a direct interview with informants, namely Warung Sate Joenedin partners. The results reveal that the collaboration between the partners of Warung Sate Joenedin is in the form of shirkah inan. Based on the research results, it can be concluded that the cooperation carried out by Warung Sate Joenedin follows the term cooperation from sharia economics perspective. The implementation of profit sharing is based on an agreement, while losses are borned by each partner based on the capital stock. This shirkah cooperation is beneficial for partners, while Warung Sate Joenedin has not experienced losses. In line with the conclusion based on the Islamic economics perspective, the researchers suggested that the cooperation between Warung Sate Joenedin companies should be sustainable.

Abstract

Small and medium micro enterprises (MSMEs) has the important role in the community for expanding employment and giving economic services that spread to the community, increasing business income and achieving benefit and prosperity among others. MSMEs basically need the support of micro finance institutions which provides the funding to raise the financial asset of MSME using sharia system. This study aims at answering the question about the role of mura>bah}ah financing in BMT Mandiri Sejahtera Branch Sugio Lamongan for increasing the income of small and medium micro enterprises (MSME) of Sugio Market. This is qualitative research which is also called naturalistic research method because the research have the interview, observation, and documentation. This study uses qualitative descriptive analysis technique to analyze data which tells about mura>bah}ah financing held by BMT Mandiri Sejahtera Branch Sugio Lamongan. The findings reveal that mura>bah}ah financing in BMT Mandiri Sejahtera Branch Sugio Lamongan plays an important role in improving small and medium micro enterprises of Sugio Market.

Abstract

Women and cosmetics are inseparable, nowadays. This condition is also responded positively by cosmetic companies ranging from new product innovations to price promotions. The number of new products certainly has its assessment for regular customers. This research focuses on the Faculty of Economics and Business students at the University of Jember in Jember and Bondowoso. This study examines the effect of halal certificate, prices, and brand image on consumer loyalty to Wardah’s lip cream products which have won top brand awards for the last three years. The study uses linear regression analysis and SPSS 25 software. The research findings reveal that the halal label variable does not affect consumer’s loyalty. Price and brand image variables has significant positive effects on consumer’s loyalty.

Abstract

This research aims at measuring BAZNAS Solok Regency performance in order to evaluate and improve performance in managing zakat. The potential of Zakat in Solok Regency is very large, but the process of collecting zakat carried out by BAZNAS Solok Regency has not been maximized. This problem is because of the low-level of public trust in distributing zakat to institutions. The public trust will increase if the institution performs the reliable and credible performance. Data collection methods is accomplished through interviews and questionnaires. The analysis method uses the National Zakat Index (NZI) and Instrument Test which includes validity test, reliability test and paired test. The results of the BAZNAS Solok Regency research from the macro dimension are quite good with an index value of 0.50, as there is no APBD support from Solok Regency government and the zakat institution database is not completed yet. From the micro dimension, the performance assessment of BAZNAS Solok Regency is good with an index value of 0.61, as well as the value of institutional indicators including collection, management, delivery and reporting that turns out well. Yet, the impact of the zakat given needs such further reevaluation, because BAZNAS Solok Regency has not carried out guidance, monitoring and evaluation on the material side and spiritual mustahik.

Abstract

This study aims at capturing the types of MSMEs in Madura; identifying the suitability of sharia business ethics of MSMEs in Madura; and describing the marketing management of MSMEs in Madura for increasing sales value and competitiveness in the digital economy industry so that they are able to support the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDG’s). Using a qualitative method with a literature study approach and in-depth interviews in field studies, the results of the study show that, in general, the portrait of MSME subject in Madura deals with the food industry of agricultural and marine products, herbal drinks and traditional herbs, as well as the wood carving manufacturing industry. and shipbuilding. As a society that has a high level of religiosity, some MSME subjects in Madura have implemented Islamic business ethics by processing halal certificates for their products. In order to increase marketing and sales of their products, they are familiar with the use of online marketplaces. They prefer to market their products offline or use personal social media and e-commerce accounts but are reluctant to join websites managed by the government. Changes in mindset and innovation, strengthening cooperation between parties and utilizing technological advances are strongly needed for the development and progress of MSME products in Madura. So that they are able to reach the global community and support the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDG’s).

Abstract

This study aims at measuring Zakat Literacy Index (ILZ) of the people of South Tangerang City using the Simple Weighted Index method, which focuses on measuring a person's level of understanding and literacy on the object of zakat. Literacy and understanding of zakat become the external factors that can determine people to pay zakat. The results reveal that Zakat Literacy Index in South Tangerang City obtains a value of 81.78 which was included in the high literacy category. The highest indicator is the knowledge variable about the obligation to pay zakat with a score of 95.25. And the lowest indicator in this measurement lies in the knowledge variable about zakat regulation with a score of 48.67.

Abstract

Qardl financing is one of outlay product in Darul Hikam Syariah Concumer Cooperative coming through capital lack problems due to many inconsiderate debtors. This subsequently triggers some suspicions about its regulations of risk management applied in qardl financing. This study is qualitative research applying descriptive analysis approach. The data are collected using techniques of observation, interview and documentation. The results reveal several findings. First, the procedure of qardl financing in Darul Hikam Syariah Consumer Cooperative is divided into four stages. They are the submission stage, the analysis stage, the disbursement stage, and the installment stage. In the disbursement stage, an administrative fee is determined based on the loan amount. Second, the qardl financing risk management analysis is not in accordance with the theory. It can be seen from the risk management process which is only carried out by means of identification, measurement, and control. There is no monitoring due to the lack of human resources (employees) in providing assistance, approach, and direct direction for borrowers. Otherwise, the monitoring is crucial in the process of minimizing the occurrence of failed businesses and experiencing bad credit settlement.

Abstract

High customer loyalty can indicate the success of Islamic banks in line with increasingly fierce business competition between financial institutions and banks. This study aims to examine and analyze the relationship between bank services, customer satisfaction, one's religiosity, and customer loyalty of Islamic banks in the city of Surabaya. Using a research sample of Islamic bank customers who domiciled in Surabaya, this study uses a quantitative approach with a purposed mediator regression analysis with Bootstrap Matrix. The results showed that a person's religiosity and service quality of Islamic banks had a positive and significant effect on their loyalty as customers in Islamic banks. Then, the effect of service on customer loyalty, which is moderated by satisfaction, shows a positive but not significant effect. With the less significant effect of service on loyalty moderated by satisfaction, along with the increasingly fierce business competition between institutions and banks, Islamic banks need to improve the quality of services provided to customers and prospective customers to be able to compete with other financial institutions to obtain satisfaction and maintain customer loyalty. Finally, the results of the simultaneous test show that religiosity and service quality (moderated by customer satisfaction) have a positive and significant effect on customer loyalty in sharia banking in Surabaya.

Abstract

The problem in this study inspires creative economic development activities aimed at improving the well-being of the water hyacinth craftsmen community in Situ Cipondoh. The water hyacinth plant can be transformed into a variety of marketable handicrafts. This has become a popular destination for both locals and visitors from other parts of the country. The purpose of this research is to determine the development of the creative economy in improving the economic welfare of water hyacinth craftsmen in Ieko Ratu Eceng Sahabat Alam, Situ Cipondoh, Kunciran Jaya, Tangerang in terms of Islamic economic aspects in Indonesia. This study employed interview techniques and field surveys with a sociological approach, with data collected through observation, interviews, and documentation. To get specific conclusions, it refers to literature studies based on the texts of the Quran and hadith and then analyzed using descriptive analysis techniques according to Islamic economics. Thus, this research shows that the creative economy development carried out by the Kunciran Jaya community through Ieko Ratu Eceng Sahabat Alam by utilizing water hyacinth into various kinds of handicrafts can improve the economic welfare of the Situ Cipondoh community. Besides that, in the view of Islamic economics, these activities are highly recommended and allowed because they are following the basic values of Islamic economics in Indonesia.

Abstract

This study aims to determine whether the islamic corporate governance, profitability and size of the company size influences the islamic corporate social responsibility in Islamic Commercial Bank in Indonesia. The sample in this study were 12 Islamic Commercial Bank in Indonesia for period 2016-2020. Data and methods of data collection in this study are secondary data obtained from annual reports on the website of Islamic Commercial Banks. The data analysis technique in this study use descriptive analysis, while for the statistical analysis the SPSS 16.0 test tool is used. The result of this study indicates that a)Islamic corporate governance, profitability and size simultaneously have a significant effect on Islamic corporate social responsibility,b) partially Islamic corporate governance has a significant positive effect on Islamic corporate social responsibility, c)partially profitability has a significant negative effect on Islamic corporate social responsibility and d)partially company size has insignificant effect on Islamic corporate social responsibility.
