Abstract

This research is motivated by the continued use of manual attendance recording, which often leads to data inaccuracies, delayed reporting, and inefficient data management. The study focuses on how to design and develop a digital attendance system capable of accurately recording employee presence, displaying check-in and check-out times, and automatically generating attendance summaries. The objective of this research is to develop a digital attendance system that improves recording accuracy and simplifies attendance monitoring. The research method consists of requirement identification, system design, implementation, testing, and evaluation. The system is developed with features including user login, check-in and check-out recording, location tracking, attendance history, and automated monthly summaries. System testing is conducted to ensure proper functionality and usability. The results indicate that the system successfully records attendance data in a structured manner, provides time and location information, and automatically generates monthly reports. The novelty of this research lies in the integration of time tracking, location recording, and automated attendance reporting within a single system that enhances monitoring efficiency and effectiveness.

Abstract

This study aims to design and implement a web-based livestock weight monitoring system integrated with an Internet of Things (IoT) weighing device. The system adopts a web–cloud–IoT architecture with a centralized database to ensure data integrity and consistency. An ESP32-based device reads livestock identification via RFID and measures weight using a load cell sensor, then transmits data in JSON format to a server for validation before storage in a PostgreSQL (Supabase) database. The application is developed using a full-stack Next.js framework that integrates authentication, session management, data handling, and ingestion mechanisms within a single platform. Access control is implemented using Supabase Auth and Row Level Security (RLS) policies to restrict data access based on user ownership. The ingest endpoint performs API key verification, data structure validation, and device status checking prior to recording historical data. System evaluation includes functional testing, device integration testing, load testing at 40–95 requests per second (RPS), and security assessment. The results indicate stable performance up to 90 RPS without high-severity vulnerabilities. The proposed system has potential to support digital transformation in livestock data management.

Abstract

The high risk of theft of valuable assets requires a more reliable storage system, given that conventional safes with physical keys or combinations still have security gaps that are vulnerable to manipulation. This study aims to design and implement a prototype of an Internet of Things (IoT)-based safe security system using ESP32-CAM equipped with PIN authentication and motion detection features. The research method applied is prototyping with an experimental approach that includes system architecture design, hardware implementation, and functionality testing. This system integrates a keypad for PIN verification, a PIR sensor to detect motion threats, and an ESP32-CAM camera for visual evidence capture. Security is enhanced through a real-time notification mechanism to Telegram and recording of activity history in the Firebase database. Test results show that the system has a PIN authentication accuracy rate of 100% for 4-8 digit variations. The motion detection feature is able to work optimally up to a distance of 150 cm with 100% success. Additionally, the system successfully sends warning notifications along with photo evidence to Telegram with an average response time under 5 seconds. This research contributes to minimizing the risk of safe break-ins through the integration of automated visual monitoring and a remote early warning system.

Abstract

The current irrigation system is still manual, resulting in suboptimal water use and water distribution that does not meet land requirements, causing a lot of water to be wasted. Irrigation control is also ineffective because Internet of Things technology is only capable of monitoring without automatic decision-making. This situation causes social problems related to water scarcity and slows down the progress of sustainable agriculture. The purpose of this study is to create an Internet of Things-based Sistem Irigasi cerdas system that can monitor agricultural environmental conditions in real time and use the C4.5 algorithm to classify irrigation needs. The research was conducted in the rice fields of Jabong Village with direct observation of agricultural land. Data was collected through DHT22, capacitive soil moisture, and raindrop water sensors with a total of 100 records. The analysis stages included determining the root node of all attributes, calculating entropy, information gain, and gain ratio. The attribute with the highest gain ratio was used as the root node, then the data was split to form leaf nodes. After the tree was formed, pruning was performed to avoid overfitting. The test results using RapidMiner tools showed an accuracy of 90.00%, which is classified as “good,” so this system can be a breakthrough from conventional agriculture to modern agriculture. This study is still limited to one user, three parameters, and the C4.5 algorithm.

Abstract

Abstract This study aims to analyze the level of user acceptance of the District Library Information System (SIPERKA) using the User Acceptance Testing (UAT) method. SIPERKA was developed to overcome the low achievement of village library data collection in Subang Regency, which is still below 40%. The system was developed using the Laravel 12 framework and web-based technologies, including HTML, CSS, PHP, and JavaScript. The research employed a quantitative descriptive approach. Data were collected through a questionnaire distributed to 14 respondents, using a 5-point Likert scale. User acceptance was evaluated based on five dimensions, namely usability, information quality, system efficiency, user satisfaction, and training quality. The collected data were analyzed using descriptive statistical techniques to determine the mean and standard deviation values. The results indicate that SIPERKA received a positive level of user acceptance, with an overall mean score of 3.94, categorized as Good. The system efficiency dimension achieved the highest mean score (M = 4.14), indicating that the system effectively supports user activities. Furthermore, training quality (M = 3.98), user satisfaction (M = 3.93), information quality (M = 3.86), and usability (M = 3.79) also demonstrated good acceptance levels. In conclusion, the findings show that SIPERKA meets user requirements and is feasible for full implementation. However, improvements in usability are still necessary to enhance system ease of use. This study is expected to contribute to the development and evaluation of web-based library information systems in the public service sector.

Abstract

The increasing use of smartphones necessitates rational decision-making about device upgrades. Many users upgrade without considering the actual device condition and usage requirements. This study aims to develop an artificial intelligence-based recommendation system to objectively determine smartphone upgrade decisions. The method used is the C4.5 algorithm for classification based on device specifications and usage patterns. The dataset consists of 100 records, including 80 for training and 20 for testing. The results show that the system successfully generates a representative decision tree model. Performance evaluation using a confusion matrix yields an accuracy of 95.00 percent, categorized as excellent. The system is also integrated with AI Gemini to generate narrative explanations from classification results, improving interpretability. The contribution lies in integrating classification algorithms with generative models to produce accurate and informative recommendations. This system provides a practical solution for users to efficiently determine smartphone upgrade needs.
