Abstract

The purpose of this research is to know the impacts of environmental pollution of Ijen Crater water in Banyupahit watershed such as health and environmental impacts and to determine the quality of river water and springs in the Banyupahit waterspring, Kalianyar village, Sempol District, Bondowoso Regency, East Java Province. The method of this research conducted by the authors is a field study with direct observation in the field as well as library studies and related references related to the title of the seminar. Data analysis and discussion of this research using chemical analysis approach in the form of elements of pH, Clˉ, SO4ˉ and Fˉ taken on two water samples in the study area. The result of the research, it can be concluded that Banyupahit watershed is not feasible to be used because it has a very acidic water and exceeds the maximum permitted according to the standard of Water Quality Standard according to Government Regulation No. 82/2001 on Water Quality Management and Pollution Control Water Class 1. However, from the analysis on the sample of the springs it can be concluded that the springs downstream of the Banyupahit River can be used for clean water because it does not exceed the maximum quality limit in accordance with Ministry of Health Regulation No. 416/MENKES /PER/IX/1990. Based on the results of the research, it is expected that the people around do not use river water for purposes such as bathing, washing and drinking water consumption because this is very dangerous for health. While the environmental impact caused by acid water along the river basin of Banyupahit is in the form of non-living or not the development of animals around the river such as fish.

Abstract

An inefficient utilization of bamboo resulted in bamboo base as waste without economical value. Converted this bamboo waste becomes active carbon through pyrolysis will add more value of the product. This study aims to determine the parameters which influence the pyrolysis of bamboo waste, to determine the activity of the obtained active carbon and liquid smoke yield. The preparation of raw material was conducted by cutting the bamboo into the size of an average length of 4.33 cm, 1.43 cm wide, and 0.48 cm high, also analyzed the water content. Pyrolisis was done for 60 minutes in the range of temperature between 250°C to 450°C. Activation methods varied by soaking in diluted phosphoric acid solution (6-14%) prior to pyrolysis with variations in dipping time and temperature pyrolysis. Yield and reactifity of obtained active carbon and also yield of liquid smoke were analyzed. With 100 gram of raw material, 60 minutes of reaction time, and activation for 24 hr resulted in an optimum yield of active carbon 27,43% with reactivity 433,99 mg/g under 12% of phosphoric acid solution at 450°C, and the yield of liquid smoke was 54 mL. GC-MS results showed that acetic acid (30.33%) as a major component, while 2-propanone (14,34%), methanol (10,37%), 2-butanone (3,75%) acetaldehyde (3,59%), furfural (2,95%), corylon (2,21%), cyclopropyl carbinol (2,11%), phenol (2,1%), glycol (1,85%), dan carbonic acid (1,28%) as a minor component.

Abstract

The measurement of academic services using questionnaires with multiple choice answers generally provide comments and advice columns. In the data analysis results, comments and suggestions made by the thousands of students can not be utilitized due to the lack of analysis tools. Whereas comments and suggestions can actually contain student opinions on various things, such as facilities, faculty, library and others. Opinion mining and sentiment analysis as a new tool in text mining can be applied to the data to utilitize comments and suggestions. This research applied HMM-POS Tagger to give automatically POS TAG to the sentence based on training POS TAG data by using the Hidden Markov Model. By implementing POS TAG pattern the comments can then be determined whether it was opinion or not. Morever if it were opinion it can be determinied its target and also the orientation of the opinion whether it is positive or negative. The data used was 1,000 comments given POS-TAG manually and 1,000 comments as test data. Sentiment analysis is applied using four methods of classification, namely SVM, NBC, ME and KM-Clustering. The result showed that the accuracy of POS-Tagger was 0.95 and the avarage of accuracy of four classification method was 0.85.

Abstract

It is certain that area expansion has consequences on the growth of the urban population, as also the migration of people to the center of city which will certainly increase the pressure on land use for the development of infrastructure and basic urban infrastructure. The most evident is in the increase of residential building as a result of migration to the center of city and the number of people.The purpose of this research is to determine the influence of area expansion toward the development of built settlement area in Kotamobagu, North Sulawesi. This research uses quantitative method with pre-experimental and by using one-group pretest-posttest design. It uses multivariate analysis of variance (MANOVA).Based on the result of the analysis of the influence of area expansion, it gives significant influence toward variables: the number of the house, banking, government office, education center, health center, and also worship place. And, the expansion does not give significant influence toward market

Abstract

The development of robotics technology more rapidly lately. Products of robotics technology is favored by many circles lately, one of them is the balancing of the robot itself or by Self-Balancing Robot. In designing a Self-Balancing Robot major success factor is the conditioning in order to keep the robot required upright position. IMU is an electronic device which measure and inform the motion of an object moving one of them Self-Balancing Robot. IMU works by detecting the state of the current acceleration in real time using the Accelerometer was to detect changes in rotation occurring on the motion of the robot using the Gyroscope. Information signal combined Accelerometer and Gyroscope sensor available on MPU6050 based IMU sensor is read by an AVRATMEGA16 Microcontroller via I2C communications. The Results of IMU data readout via I2C communication indicates the motion activity Self-Balancing Robot in measurement data parameters Pitch and Roll is 0 degrees.

Abstract

Utilization coal an energy source to produce electricity and coal wastes such as fly ash, estimated at 7 thousand tons of fly ash annually in power plant PT. Makmur Sejahtera Wisesa (PT.MSW). One attempt utilizing waste fly ash is as a compound to increase the carrying capacity of clay. Pit Wara, clay mining is not entirely good and meet the technical criteria as a constituent material for pavement. Because clay should be improved or stabilized. In general, this problem is resolved by making clay material from other locations, this will result increased operating costs. This research aimed at obtaining the compressive strength of clay that fits the criteria of technical base in the manufacturing base of laydown in the Pit Wara to improve soil properties of clay in the form of stabilization by adding fly ash it is called stabilizing agent (Hartosukma, E.W, 2005). The research methodology used material sample in the Pit Wara and power plant PT.MSW, to be tested in the laboratory. Compacting (Compaction test) and CBR, unknown effect of adding fly ash to the value optimum moisture content (OMC), the value of moisture dry density of clay and material mix. The test results showed that the addition of 10% fly ash can be increase the value of CBR to 16 (Criteria for subgrade CBR that category as well) when compacted at the optimum water content of 17.5%. The decline in value of the compressive strength of the material mixture (clay and fly ash) when done excessively the addition of fly ash is the addition of 20% fly ash is not linear.

Abstract

Hydrolysis of kapok shell in the presence of hydrochloric acid catalyst to produce furfural was studied. This objective of this work was to study the effects of catalyst concentration and reaction time on yield of furfural. The experiment were conducted by reacting kapok shell with hydrochloric acid in a three neck flask sized 500 mL equipped with stirrer, heater, condenser, and thermometer. The reaction condition studied were catalyst concentration ranging from 0,025 N to 0,2 N and reaction time from 30 minutes to 180 minutes. The concentration of furfural was analyzed to calculate the yield of furfural. The initial analysis of kapok shell obtained that the water content of 6.75%, ash content of 2.31%, and pentosan content of 22.72%. The results show that yield of furfural reached a maximum at the catalyst concentration is 8.01% and the yield of furfural reached an optimum at the reaction time for 180 minutes is 8.03%.

Abstract

Information system development project can be seen as the life cycle (Systems Development Life Cycle / SDLC) which in practice can be done using different approaches. Waterfall is one of method that is often applied in the SDLC. This paper discusses the application of the Waterfall model in the E-Score Card system development project in high school report card as a follow-up to the minister Instruction No. 2 of 2011 on Education Data Management Activities and Permendikbud No. 53 of 2015 on the Assessment of Learning Outcomes. E-Score Card system was developed on the grounds that information management learning and assessment of learning outcomes that involve many data items, has a high complexity, and no fault tolerance for critical data related to many parties, so that the necessary existence of a computer based system. In addition, the E-Score Card system is also necessary to standardize, facilitate the education unit, and facilitate government monitoring information management learning and assessment of learning outcomes. Referring to the approach of the Waterfall model, the E-Score Card system is developed through four stages, namely planning, analysis, design, and implementation. Logical Model of E-Score Card system involving four external entities, namely Admin, Guardian Class, Teachers, and Students. E-Score Card system has four main processes, namely by Admin master data management, data transactions management by the Guardian Class and the Master, as well as display information of value to students. Prototype System E-Report Card was developed using the programming language PHP 5, MySQL DBMS, OS MSWindows, and web server Xampp 1.7.2.

Abstract

Andesite mining material needs both for industrial development and may be available by way of mining activities. Girimulya area, District Girimulyo, Kulon Progo has abundant natural resources, among which andesite. This study aims to determine the direction of the excavation recommendation in terms of structure and a weak field strength andesite lava rock. Identifying physical properties and mechanical properties of materials on the excavation carried out as igneous rock andesite lava.Collecting data in the field include: plotting the location of observation; identification of rocks and weathering; data recording and sampling rock geology and weathering. Sampling each location point observations were made in the form of samples disrupted. Research in the laboratory / studio in the form of observational petrology, testing the physical properties of rocks and analysis of compressive strength / UCS. Along with field research and laboratory / studio, also conducted research relevant literature.Andesite in the study area is a product of the old volcanic activity that is part of the Old Andesite Formation. In the field, andesite lava fields have a weak form of fracture. Based on the graphical method Pettifer and Fookes (1994) in terms of the structure of the field is weak and the mining rock mechanics properties including the criteria for Easy Ripping to Very Hard Ripping. If it will be mining should be conducted prior to demolition andesite lava rock. Heavy equipment Bulldozer recommended that the type D6, D7, D8 and D9. Furthermore it can be dug with a backhoe to be loaded and transported.

Abstract

The snack is traditional food made from tapioca flour with fried onions savory seasoning. The round shape is colored white and processed with the way fried. These foods are popular as snacks typical of the area of Kulon progo Regency. Image is the image on a two-dimensional field. In mathematical reviews. The image is a continuous function of light intensity in two dimensions. In computers, a digital image is saved as a file with a specific format. The image shows how to format a digital image is stored, for example, whether with a compression or not. Examples of digital image formats are .bmp, .jpg, .PNG, .tif, and so on. Digital image size expressed in pixels (picture elements). This description describes the merging of two different images into an image in the form of new patterns. This process of merging using matlab with images blending, then from the results of the merge image searchable form of the pattern using the Canny operator. The size of the original image i.e. image of flowers and circles must be the same image that is 400 x 300 pixels in jpg format. The results obtained in the form of a composite image of two images in the shape of a new image of the pattern that is the pattern image to resemble floral patterns.digital imagery
