The data used in this research is of secondary type, originating from the Scopus database. Data was collected using the Publish or Perish application using the keyword "open government". The data obtained was then analyzed using the Vosviewer application to obtain a bibliometric map generated from keywords for all papers. Based on the results of this research, there were 160 papers over a period of 37 years. The first open government paper was published in 1986. There were 241,891 citations, 146 h-index, and 150 g-index, which shows that this paper has high impact and productivity. In this paper, there are 137 keywords grouped into 16 clusters. From these keywords, 2056 total link strengths and 567 occurrences were obtained. The keywords that dominate this paper are e-government, collaborative governance, transparency, public participation, and accountability. This shows that global open government research focuses on these concepts.

Abstract

This qualitative research tries to investigate and list the number of verbosities (using or containing too many words, full of words) which is regarded redundant in terms of structure, semantic point of views, that produced by the followers in social media called Tik-tok.  Tik-Tok now is one of the massive communication activities that followed by thousands even hundred million followers worldwide at the same time. Uncle Clinton’s Space Channel is one of the channels which followers may freely join, ask and answer questions in this channel. They are also free to propose and response the questions and share some information about their hobbies, talents, their working experiences, new knowledge and so on. Also, in this unique channel, the researcher prepares and offers various interesting topics to the followers to discuss. The targets of this channel for the followers are to listen, to understand then to response each topic proposed. Through listening, understanding and responding those topics the followers produce many verbosities, words, like; little-little, more cheaper, more bigger, expensive price, cheap price, sharing-sharing, more better, expensive price, more easy, more good, I am agree, I am disagree, I am understand and so on, which are grammatically non-standard English. In this case the researcher wants to clarify why a number of verbosities appear and why they produce them when they are speaking

Abstract

Visual representation becomes a mode of comprehending the world and news media are among the major carriers of visual image. How media represent women through texts and images are considered to be a key influence on people’s idea of women’s position in society. This research anchored on the theoretical lens of feminist media theory, media representation and media objectification theory, investigated how women are represented in news and feature photographs of Bangladeshi newspapers. This study has employed content analysis method for data collection. Two top circulation Bangladeshi national dailies, the Daily Star and the Prothom Alo, were chosen purposively. Newspaper copies of one year, for the period of 1st January to 31st December 2022, were chosen for the study. Following Stempel’s (1952) suggestion, researcher decided to scrutiny 24 issues of each newspaper, taking copies dated 2 and 16 of every month as sample. This study found that women are underrepresented and misrepresented in news and feature photographs. Even in the dailies, considered by many as prestige newspapers, women are rarely presented as protagonists in photos. Although improvements are noticeable in some aspects, news and feature photos still present women as negative, trivial and associate mostly with the private sphere (household and family life). Findings of the study validates the observation we found in previous researches that women continue to be marginalized in news and feature photos.
