The researcher gathered information via a questionnaire. The researcher analyzed the data using the percentage of the questionnaire and SPSS. This study used primary data from 24 English education department students at the University of Muhammadiyah Sumatera Utara. The conclusions of this study revealed that 18 students (75%) had the most positive attitude, whereas 6 students (25%) had a positive attitude. There were no students connected to the negative. According to the journal that I have read, most students find online learning ineffective and dull. Students have expressed concerns about the impact of the environment and inadequate internet connections on online learning. Abstract

This study was aimed to explore learners’ perspective of using artificial intelligence. The respondents of this study were 15 learners who had completed the academic writing course. The technique of collecting data used was a semi structured interview method to EFL learners who had experience using AI technology to help their writing assignments. The research design used in this study was qualitative. The results revealed that all of students using AI in helping their writing assignment. The findings showed that the artificial intelligence variation used by the learners were ChatGPT, Grammarly, DeepLWriting, Quillbot, Bing Translator, Gemini and POE to help them doing their writing assignments. However, the EFL students still found the result of writing was inaccurate, so they cross referenced them manually and sometimes used other AI tools to refine the writing. The results utilization of Artificial Intelligence in supporting of their writing assignment indicated students’ positive perspective of utilizing Artificial Intelligence in composing their writing assignments influences the efficacy of their written work.

Abstract

This study aims to develop interactive mathematics learning media using GeoGebra to improve student learning outcomes using the 5M approach to linear equations and to test the feasibility of the developed learning media. This research is a Research and Development (R&D) development study using a modified 4D model with three stages: define, design, and development. This research was conducted at MTsN 1 Aceh Tenggara in class VIII A EKS. The study involved 18 respondents, consisting of three validators: two expert lecturers, one teacher, and 15 students. The results showed that the interactive mathematics learning media using GeoGebra had been developed, receiving input from the validators and students. The feasibility test obtained a score of 92.8%, categorized as "Very Valid." The mathematics learning outcomes, in terms of lesson plans (RPP), were categorized as "Very Valid." Furthermore, the analysis of student responses showed a percentage of 94.5%, categorized as "Very Good." This indicates that the interactive mathematics learning media using GeoGebra is suitable for student use.

The approach for analyzing the politeness strategies is based on Brown and Levinson’s Theory of Politeness. There are four politeness strategies that are mentioned by Brown and Levinson, they are Bald on Record, Positive Politeness, Negative Politeness and Off Record. The data of politeness strategies utterances that have been analyzed are 24 utterances which are politeness strategies used in Joe Biden’s speech. The politeness strategies contained in Joe Biden’s speech consist of 4 Bald on Record utterances, 10 Positive Politeness utterances, 8 Negative Politeness utterances, and 2 Off Record utterances.
