Jurnal Ilmiah Sarasvati (SV) awalnya dibuat pada tahun 2019 dengan penerbit Fakultas Bahasa dan Sains Universitas Wijaya Kusuma Surabaya. Pada tahun yang sama terdaftar ISSN oleh LIPI dengan nomer ISSN 2685-6808 yang terbit secara cetak dan sudah direview oleh mitra bestari. Pada tahun yang sama dibangun pembuatan Sarasvati secara online atau Open Journal System (OJS). Seluruh pengelolaan baik penerimaan artikel sampai review artikel dilakukan secara online. Terbitnya jurnal setiap tahun dua kali dengan jumlah 9 artikel tiap kali terbitan. Sarasvati diterbitkan oleh Lembaga Penelitian dan Pengabdian Masyarakat (LPPM). Jurnal Ilmiah Sarsavati (SV) merupakan terbitan ilmiah berkala yang memuat artikel berbahasa Indonesia hasil penelitian dan kajian bidang bahasa dan sastra, baik bahasa/sastra Indonesia, bahasa/sastra daerah, bahasa/sastra asing, maupun pengajaran bahasa/sastra Indonesia. Sarasvati terbit setahun dua kali. Naskah yang akan diterbitkan dalam Sarasvati hanya naskah yang belum pernah dipubikasikan atau dimuat dalam jurnal lain. Penulis yang akan menerbitkan artikelnya harap mengikuti pedoman penulisan yang berlaku pada Sarasvati. Seluruh pengelolaan baik penerimaan artikel sampai review artikel dilakukan secara online. Bahasa Utama : Penerimaan artikel dalam bahasa Indonesia sedangkan bahasa tambahan : Abstrak diharuskan ditulis dengan 2 bahasa, yaitu bahasa Indonesia dan Inggris

Abstract

Character education is a discourse that must be introduced from an early age. Its existence is important in shaping civilized and dignified human beings, as stated in article 3 of the UU Sisdiknas. Character education is translated into nine pillars of character values, namely (1) love of God and all of His creation, (2) independence and responsibility, (3) honesty / trustworthiness, wisdom, (4) respect and courtesy, (5) generous, like helping and mutual cooperation, (6) confident, creative and hardworking, (7) leadership and justice, (8) kind and humble, (9) tolerance, peace and unity. Various methods are used to make it easier to get character education, one way is through children's songs. Children's song is a song specially created for children. The simplicity of time, lyrics, and melody is the hallmark of children's songs. Pak Kasur's songs contain moral teachings that can help build children's character. Pelangi-pelangi, Bangun Tidur, Peramah dan Sopan, serta Bumiku Indonesia dan Anak Indonesia are some songs that clearly contain character values. In the end, the existence of children's songs is important to always be developed and updated. Regarding character education, it is necessary to revitalize children's songs that have been modified and created new ones according to the times.

Abstract

Language variety is a variant of a language according to usage. This study was conducted to determine the use of language variations in terms of speakers in the movie Toba Dreams director Benny Setiawan. In the film there are some characters who have different ethnic backgrounds and sociology. This study aims to describe dialect and sociology in the dialogue between characters in the movie Toba Dreams. The method used in this research is qualitative descriptive. Provision of data is done by the method refer, by listening and understand the language data in the form of spoken language in the data source dialogue between characters. Technique used is technique record and record. Results from the study. 1) the form of dialect variation, 2) sociolek in dialogue between characters. The results of this study can be used as a reading material for the understanding of the community when viewing the movie Toba Dreams.

This research study analysis in the form of better about social unrest in a novel Kobaran Cintaku. In assessing novel Kobaran Cintaku researchers used qualitative research methods of analyzing the form of descriptive, description not be the number or coefficient about the relationship between variables. The conflict contained in the novel Kobaran Cintaku: the first conflict between fellow individuals. Conflict strife of different opinions. The second conflict between individuals and group of torture and kidnapping. The third the conflict between fellow group in conflict oppression and war.

Abstract

This research is based on the problem of how to improve anecdote writing skills by using caricature image media in class X SMA Negeri 1 Batu Sopang? The purpose of this study is to improve anecdote writing skills by using caricature image media in class X SMA Negeri 1 Batu Sopang. This study uses action research in two cycles. Each cycle consists of four stages, namely: design, activities and observations, reflection, and revision. The target of this research is class X students. The data obtained were in the form of questionnaire results, teaching and learning activity observation sheets and anecdotal text writing test questions. From the results of the analysis, it was found that student learning achievement had increased from cycle I to cycle II, namely, cycle I (72%,) and cycle II (83.1). The conclusion of this study is that caricature media can improve anecdotal writing skills in Class X SMA N 1 Batu Sopang, and the use of caricature media can be used as an alternative to learning Indonesian

Abstract

This study aims to improve the discussion learning process and improve discussion skills of class XI students of SMA Negeri 1 Muara Wahau through the Two Stay Two Stray learning model. The Two Stay Two Stray learning model was chosen because it can stimulate and encourage students to actively speak to convey ideas / ideas in discussion activities. The subjects of this study were students of class XI MIPA SMA Negeri 1 Muara Wahau. The data in this study were obtained through observation, interviews, student discussion skills tests, field notes, and documentation. Data were analyzed using qualitative descriptive techniques. The validity of the data was obtained through the validity (democratic, process, dialogic, results) of interview transcripts, observation sheets, discussion assessment sheets, and photos of activities. The results of the research obtained are the percentage of discussion skills indicators achievement has increased in each cycle. The students' average ability in discussing before the implementation of the action was categorized as lacking. However, after implementing the action for two cycles, the students' average ability in discussion was categorized as excellent. The results showed: (1) in the process, discussion learning has increased significantly. Prior to the implementation of the action, students were still not actively discussing and were not able to cooperate properly during the discussion. After the implementation of the action, students become active and able to work well together during discussions; (2) in product terms, students in discussions during the pre-action with an average score of 10, 63 and at the end of the implementation of the action, namely cycle II to 20.88. Students' ability in discussing has increased by 10.25

Abstract

This research aims to obtain a description of objectively the dynamics of the main figure in the perspective Jung based on personality  which is in novel “Pengakuan Eks Parasit Lajang” creation Ayu Utami. This study using the qualitative research with the hermeneutic and researchers as a key metric. assisted by gathering data. Data is collected from unit-unit the text which reflect the majority of dynamics in the relationship between the personality of top leaders of the banned in a novel “Pengakuan Eks Parasit Lajang” creation Ayu Utami. The internal factors encourage the dynamics of personality the main figure is psychic energy (the libido) of encouragement (drive) and volition ( will ) that is spatially dynamic and work simultaneously to wholeness personal. External factors that encourage the dynamics of personality the main figure is the environment social the main figure in especially factors social environment primary namely figure family .

Abstract

This study aims to describe the domestication of women in Ustaz Firnanda Andirja's lecture. This study uses Norman Fairclough's discourse theory to analyze text descriptively, interpretatively, and explain. This research focuses on lectures on the topic as bad as your wives, women in heaven like to stay at home, and use what your husband likes, even if you don't like it yourself. The results of this study found that Ustaz Firnanda Andrija's lecture had an influence that could change the viewpoint of life of the audience and worshipers who attended the lecture. Women should stay at home and not go against their husbands orders as absolute power holders. Ustaz Firnanda also helped strengthen the dominance of men over women (especially in the family).

Abstract

Pada awalnya dekonstruksi merupakan teknik atau metode dalam membaca dan memahami teks. Dalam pembacaan secara dekonstruktif pembaca perlu menghadirkan unsur-unsur yang memungkinkan teks tersebut berbeda dari yang lain. Dalam dekonstruksi unsur-unsur yang semula terlupakan dan termarjinalkan seperti kelompok-kelompok minoritas, kelompok yang terpinggirkan, kawasan kumuh diberikan perhatian secara seimbang dan proporsional. Dalam tulisan ini dibahas tentang dekonstruksi dalam karya sastra. Karya sastra yang didekonstuksi adalah The Name Sake. Novel ini berupakan novel terjemahan karya Jhumpa Lahiri, pengarang dari India. Teori yang digunakan untuk membedah novel ini adalah teori Dekonstruksi Jacques Derrida. Ada dua hal yang dibahas dalam tulisan ini yakni upaya pengarang dalam menghadirkan oposisi-oposisi dan kelompok-kelompok termarjinalkan dalam teks. Oposisi-oposisi yang dihadirkan oleh pengarang dalam teks antara lain: (1) oposisi antara laki-laki dan perempuan, antara suami dan istri yang diwakili oleh kehadiran tokoh Ashoka dan Ashima. Ashoka digambarkan sebagai pusat dan Ashima sebagai pinggiran; (2) oposisi antara dunia Barat dan Timur. Dunia Timur diwakili oleh India yang tecermin dalam kehidupan keluarga Ashoka dan Ashima. Dunia Barat yang diwakili oleh Amerika menghadirkan tokoh-tokoh dari keluarga Amerika; (3) Oposisi ketiga adalah antara kesetiaan dan ketidaksetiaan. Kelompok-kelompok termarjinalkan yang diangkat oleh pengarang dalam teks antara lain kaum perempuan dan masyarakat India.

Abstract

This study attempts to describe relation power and representation of relation power in a novel the Anak Rantau by ahmad fuadi, also describe media power. Dispersal device types of data used in this research is qualitative data. The subject of this research is a novel the Anak Rantau by ahmad fuadi. This study focused on problems associated with my counterparts power. The data obtained by read and noted Technique. Data analyzed by qualitative description technique. The validity of the data obtained through validity and reabilitas. The result showed that: ( 1 ) relation power in a novel Anak Rantau is for ever thinking and upper body. Types of relationships power over the thought of objectification, manipulation , domination stigmatization of, and control.Types of relationships power over the body of the form of objektive, manipulation and control, (2) there is dispersal device media, religion of power cultural and educational institutions.

Abstract

This study aims to investigate the comparison of the deviations of the principle of politeness in Indian and French culture in a film called The Hundred-Foot Journey. Here the author uses Leech's theory of politeness principles which consists of maxims: (1) maxim of wisdom, (2) maxim of generosity, (3) maxim of praise, (4) maxim of humility, (5) maxim of compatibility, and (6) maxim of sympathy. Of these 2 cultures, only 3 maxims deviations were found consisting of: (1) deviations of wisdom maxims, (2) deviations of humility maxims, and (3) deviations of the maxims of agreement. The most common deviations in the principle of politeness in these two different cultures are maxim of agreement. The culture that often violates the maxim of agreement is Indian culture, which commits 16 violations, while France has 11 violations.
