Abstract

This study looks at what clients' insights and expectations for buys are meant for by the bundling of carbonated refreshments and how this affects their choices to purchase an item. The objective of this study is to distinguish the elements that add to the progress of refreshment bundling. The study's focus is on Bangladeshi, primarily young members of Generation Z. The aesthetic impact of the container design, as well as the beverage's flavor characteristics and brand perception, influence consumers' choices for bottled beverages. How to create appealing beverage packaging that takes into account the emotional needs of consumers is one of the most important aspects of increasing beverage sales. When designing a new container that meets the emotional expectations of consumers, the study's findings can offer valuable guidance to bottlers and designers. Packaging plays a significant role in consumers' purchasing decisions and can even serve as a "silent salesperson" by promoting a particular brand, so producers of carbonated beverages should pay close attention to it.

Abstract

This paper explores the perceptions of Pakistani freelancers regarding the role of the government in enhancing their career success. Through a qualitative approach by in-depth interview, the study examines the challenges faced by freelancers in Pakistan and the extent to which they believe government policies and initiatives can help address these challenges. Findings suggest that while freelancers face various obstacles, including lack of access to finance, limited opportunities, and inadequate infrastructure, they perceive the government's role as minimal. Participant expressed the need for greater recognition of the freelance industry, stronger regulatory frameworks, and more investment in skills development and digital infrastructure. The paper concludes that the Pakistani government must play a more active role in promoting and supporting the freelance industry, as it has the potential to contribute significantly to the country's economic growth and development

Abstract

In a very dynamic business environment of today, it is a big challenge for small and medium enterprises (SMEs) particularly working in developing countries to unremittingly adapt swift techno-ecological developments and improve their performance on broad frontiers. The balanced scorecard (BSC) is widely propagated as one of the strategic policy instruments for achieving the desired level of performance by aligning the performance measurement systems with the strategic objectives. This study is aimed to examine the effect of BSC implementation as a strategic instrument of performance measure on the financial performance of SMEs. For the said purpose, this study used four facets of BSC i.e., financial perspective, customer perspective, internal processes and learning growth perspective are used as independent variables. A questionnaire adopted from previous studies based upon resource-based view and balance card theory was used to gather the data from SMEs. For data collection, 400 questionnaires containing closed ended questions were sent to chief financial officers and chief operating officers of SMEs located in Lahore district. Only three hundred and eighty (380) respondents returned duly filled questionnaires. Out of which 72 are from service sector and the remaining 308 were from industrial sector. The findings of the study revealed that implementation of balanced scorecard has significant positive impact on the financial performance of SMEs. All four facets of BSC are found positively related with the financial performance. The study is helpful for SMEs to use BSC to get better performance. However, the successful implementation of BSC requires commitment and allocation of adequate resources. There is a need to explore the challenges and barriers confronted in the successful implementation BSC.
