Abstract

This research was aimed to improve teachers’ pedagogical competence which was carried out in two cycles, each cycle consisted of four stages, namely: planning, action, observation and reflection. The subjects in this study were novice teachers and honorary teachers at UPT SMP Negeri 1 Pagelaran, totalling 19 peoples. The research data was analyzed by employing descriptive statistics, then it was presented in form of tables and diagrams to obtain a clearer understanding of increasing teachers’ pedagogical competence. The results of research showed that after the teachers were given collaborative academic supervision, the teachers’ ability in preparing lesson plan has increased to 39.82%. Furthermore, the teacher's ability in carrying learning has also increased to 40.94%. Collaborative academic supervision has increased teachers' ability in carrying out learning outcomes assessments up to 39.94%. Based on the results of this research, it could be concluded that collaborative academic supervision can improved the pedagogical competence of teachers at UPT SMP Negeri 1 Pagelaran academic year 2022/2023.

Abstract

This research covers the process of developing and evaluating ICE Crate learning media in depth. This problem focuses on the stages of development, design, implementation, and measurement of the effectiveness of these learning media in improving the learning outcomes of grade 3 students in thematic learning. Through the PETI ICE learning media (Innovative Cycle Life and Decorative Thematic Learning), students are expected to be able to experience innovative learning. This study aims to improve student learning outcomes in thematic learning and describe the increase in student learning outcomes in thematic learning. The research methodology is classroom action research (CAR). The model in this study uses the Kemmis and Taggart implementation flow and the researchers use the R & D approach (research and development). The utilization of innovative media "PETI ICE" in thematic learning for grade 3 SD Bosowa Al-Azhar can improve student learning outcomes beyond the standard scores with 2 actions, namely in cycle I and cycle II. The results show that in Pre-Cycle the average score of knowledge is 60.00 and skills is 41.4, in Cycle I average score of knowledge is 76.00 and skills 62.6, in Cycle II the average score of knowledge 88.00 and skills 80.00. These make the innovative media "PETI ICE" able to improve student learning outcomes with a very satisfying percentage.

Abstract

Critical thinking skills are very important abilities in the learning process that need to be possessed. Critical thinking is one of the innovation skills needed in the 21st century to prepare graduates who are able to compete in the job market. By using appropriate and interesting learning media, reading will no longer be boring. One way to develop critical thinking skills is to utilize teaching materials in the learning process. These teaching materials include interactive e-books. Interactive e-books are used as a student-centered learning resource; they can be used independently, because the teaching materials which contain interesting and interactive content and student worksheets will be able to stimulate children to think critically and creatively. By using e-books to train students' critical thinking skills. This research aims to determine the effectiveness of using e-books to train students' critical thinking skills. Type of research This research is library research using the literature study research method. Data analysis This research uses qualitative descriptive analysis. The results of this research are that the use of e-books can effectively train students' critical thinking skills.

Abstract

This research aims to determine students' difficulties in learning mathematics, multiplication and division material in elementary school. The method used is the literature study method. The research subjects are articles and books related to the research topic. The results of this research show that students' difficulties in learning mathematics on multiplication and division in elementary school are caused by a lack of student motivation to learn, using the wrong process, not being careful, not having memorized multiplication and division, feeling bored when learning multiplication and division, not knowing the first steps in working on questions. mathematics stories, not focusing when learning, and misconceptions about multiplication and division. The difficulties faced by students are difficulties in calculations, understanding concepts, differences in place value, differences in arithmetic operation symbols, and understanding mathematical story problems. The solution to overcome these difficulties is that teachers require students to memorize multiplication 15 minutes before starting learning, use singing methods, use mathematics, use fun learning models, and motivate students to increase their interest in learning in class. Parents at home are expected to guide and help children in completing their assignments.

Abstract

This study aims to examine to what extent that project based learning improves student learning outcomes in learning science about water cycles. This is a classroom action research with two cycles conducted in the fifth grade class in an private primary school. The author collected data by conducting evaluation tests and classroom observation in learning the water cycle material. The instruments used are evaluation test and observation sheets. To analyze the data in this study using qualitative and quantitative data analysis techniques. The findings show that there is an increase in learning outcomes from cycle 1 (average score 73) and cycle 2 (average score 86). These findings indicate that the application of project-based learning for the water cycle material in science subjects has proven effective in increasing learning outcomes and students’ participation. The results can certainly be used by primary school teachers as a reference in teaching water cycle material or other related materials in science subjects. In addition, of course, this study reports on how to apply empirically the application of project-based learning as a variation of student-centered learning methods and promote student participation and collaboration, especially in science subjects.

Abstract

Based on learning observations conducted at Siman 1 Public Elementary School, Ponorogo Regency obtained that the mathematical understanding of grade 5 in determining the volume of geometric volume was not satisfactory. An alternative solution to solve this problem was implementation of Problem Based Learning assisted by interactive e-module. This study aims to describe students’ mathematical understanding on the geometric volume in grade 5. This study used classroom action research from Kemmis & McTaggart. This research has been carried out in three cycles, each cycle was 3x35 minutes long. The result of the study indicated an improve in mathematical understanding, in cycle 1 the percentage of classroom completeness showed 58%, in cycle 2 up to 71%, and in cycle 3 became 79%. Therefore, implementation of Problem Based Learning assisted by interactive e-module could improve students’ mathematical understanding in geometric volume

Abstract

The research background is the low student learning outcomes in mathematics, especially in cube root material. This type of research is classroom action research (CAR) which aims to investigate the application of the Problem Based Learning (PBL) model with the help of Pakapati media in improving student learning outcomes. The PBL method is used as a learning approach that emphasizes problem solving and developing critical thinking skills, while Pakapati media is used as an interactive tool to support active learning. This research was conducted through two cycles of CAR. The research subjects were fifth grade students at Kanisius Gayam I Elementary School Yogyakarta, which consisted of 30 students. Data collection was carried out by interviews, observations and tests. Data analysis techniques used are quantitative and qualitative. The results of the study show that the application of the PBL model with the help of Pakapati media can improve student learning outcomes. This can be shown from the increase in student learning outcomes starting from the pre-cycle stage to cycle 2 where in the pre-cycle the percentage of students who achieve scores above the Minimum Completeness Criteria (KKM) is 30%, in cycle I it becomes 40%, and 60% in cycle II.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the factors causing learning difficulties of public elementary school students No. 1 Pesaku in learning science lessons. This research method uses a qualitative descriptive method, where the research instruments are teacher and student interviews, questionnaires, documentation and student daily test scores. After teaching and learning activities, interviews were conducted to see students' learning abilities and the teacher's constraints in delivering the material. Questionnaire to identify student learning difficulties. Daily test scores are used to determine the extent of student learning problems. Documentation as supporting and complementary data for the use of observation and interview methods. The subjects of this research were the fifth grade students of SD No. 1 pesaku together with the homeroom teacher. The results of this study indicate that the causes of student learning difficulties consist of two factors, namely internal factors, namely student interest in learning, students' attitudes towards learning and study habits, while external factors are parents' attention to learning, the student's learning activities are lacking, the condition of the school environment and media or tools available in schools are inadequate.

Abstract

The begining of this research is the observation result of social science education teacher regarding the low skill students’ critical thinking in social science education learning activity class. The goal of this research is knowing the activity of social science education learning using learning tool with representative picture done by the teacher for improving critical thinking skills of VII 6 students of SMP Negeri 5 Padang. The method used in this study is Classroom Action Research (CAR), referring to Kurt Lewin’s approach that having four steps those are planning, action, observation, and reflection. The research as conducted collaboratively by the reseacher and teachers of social science education subject in three cycles. The research result showed that there is an improvement in every indicators of one, two and three cycle. It showed that using learning tool with representative picture can have positive relation with students’ critical thingking in social science education subject in VII 6 class of SMP Negeri 5 Padang.

Abstract

This research aims to determine the impact of data science learning on elementary school students’ mathematical literacy abilities. Data science has become an important aspect of today’s world of information and technology. Therefore, implementing data science learning at the elementary level can influence the mathematical literacy of students who are still in the early stages of learning. This research uses a qualitative approach with the SLR (Systematic Literature Review) method to collect, evaluate, and synthesize previous research and review the relationship between data science learning and students' mathematical literacy abilities at the elementary level. The research results show that data science learning can provide an increase in students' mathematical literacy at the basic level in the form of understanding mathematical concepts, data analysis, and problem-solving. However, several studies have also identified challenges in integrating data science learning into the elementary school curriculum. This research has contributed to developing more modern and relevant mathematics teaching strategies in an era that is increasingly connected to data.
