Abstract

The effective implementation of Information Technology (IT) governance plays a crucial role in enhancing operational efficiency, particularly in the agribusiness industry, which is increasingly reliant on digital systems. PT Japfa Comfeed Indonesia Tbk Unit Kalapanunggal 2 utilizes the MyJapfa application to manage service requests and incident resolution as part of its IT service operations.This study aims to evaluate the capability level of the MyJapfa application using the COBIT 2019 framework, specifically focusing on the DSS02 subdomain—Managed Service Requests and Incidents. COBIT 2019 is a globally recognized IT governance model that ensures IT processes are aligned with organizational goals, making it highly relevant for agribusiness companies seeking consistency, compliance, and adaptability. The research methodology includes interviews, direct observations, and document analysis to measure IT process maturity. The findings reveal that the MyJapfa system currently operates at Capability Level 4 (Predictable Process), indicating consistent and measurable practices. However, several issues were identified, such as insufficient incident classification, lack of automated monitoring, and limited documentation of incident resolution. Recommendations include enhancing automation, formalizing classification schemes, integrating ERP systems, and conducting regular audits. These efforts are expected to strengthen IT governance and contribute to the digital transformation of the agribusiness sector.

Abstract

Regional languages are an important part of cultural identity, increasingly marginalized in the digital era. Ngapak Javanese, a local dialect, is declining in use in Banyumas, Tegal, Purbalingga, and nearby areas. This research aims to develop an interactive text-based chatbot named Konco Ngobrol that uses Ngapak Javanese as the main conversational language. This chatbot is built using the Long Short-Term Memory (LSTM) model approach, which excels at understanding conversation context in the form of sequential data. The dataset is composed of many sentence patterns with a mixed language style of Indonesian and Javanese Ngapak. The research stages include data collection, pre-processing (tokenization, padding, and label encoding), building and training the LSTM model, model evaluation, prediction using a combination of LSTM and fuzzy matching, and deployment into a Flask-based application with an interactive chat interface. The evaluation results show that the LSTM model can achieve an accuracy of up to 99.04% with a low loss value, and can provide contextually appropriate responses. The fallback system also successfully handled unknown inputs well through fuzzy logic. The Konco Ngobrol chatbot not only serves as a medium for entertainment and communication but also as a tool for preserving digital culture by reintroducing local dialects into the modern technology ecosystem.

Abstract

Indonesia faces a significant environmental challenge with rising annual waste production, reaching 69.7 million tonnes in 2023, yet only 62.91% was properly managed. This problem stems from a lack of awareness about proper waste management, especially among children. To address this issue, this study developed Revin the Environment Hero, a serious game designed to enhance elementary school students' understanding of the 3R concept (Reduce, Reuse, Recycle). Employing a Research & Development approach with the ADDIE model, the game was tested with 40 elementary students in Surabaya. Pre-test and post-test questionnaires assessed the game's effectiveness, and a Paired Sample T-Test showed a significant improvement in students' 3R knowledge (t-value = -12.637, p < 0.001). Feedback revealed high satisfaction with the game’s engaging narrative, interactive mechanics, and clear instructions. The game not only increased students’ theoretical knowledge but also encouraged practical application of the 3R principles through creative recycling activities. These findings demonstrate the potential of serious games as effective educational tools for promoting environmental awareness and sustainable behaviors in young learners. Future studies should expand respondent diversity and include additional features, such as varied challenges and adjustable difficulty levels, to further enhance educational outcomes.

Abstract

This study is in the field of information technology (IT) governance. Researchers investigated the implementation of IS/IT in a hospital located in Bondowoso, East Java. The results of the investigation showed that the hospital had implemented IS/IT by general hospital regulations and government policies. However, the IT governance system there is not good; there has been no evaluation process. Thus, the purpose of this study is to evaluate IT governance to determine the quality of their IT services and provide recommendations for improvement. The framework used is COBIT 2019 and ITIL V4. Data collection was carried out by interviewing and distributing questionnaires. Data were analyzed using a design toolkit that includes 10 design factors in COBIT 2019. The results of this study are that 3 management practices must achieve capability targets at level 4, namely BAI02, BAI03, and BAI07. Based on the current conditions, BAI02 and BAI03 have achieved level 3, and BAI07 has achieved level 2, with largely achieved rating criteria. This indicates that there is a gap. This study provides recommendations for actions that need to be taken by hospitals that focus on these 3 management practices. Recommendations are made with reference to COBIT 2019 and ITIL V4.

Abstract

Hybrid meat duck is a fast-growing variety with superior meat structure, the result of crossbreeding between Peking duck and laying duck to increase egg productivity. Day Old Duck (DOD) hybrid duck is highly sought after in the rearing industry, and this crossbreeding process produces hybrid and Peking varieties with different feather color patterns. Sorting DOD is important to maintain the consistency of hybrid varieties, but the process requires high expertise and a long time. The feather color of DOD meat duck can be used to distinguish between hybrid and Peking varieties. In this study, a deep learning approach with the Convolutional Neural Network (CNN) algorithm was applied to classify DOD varieties based on feather images. The study used 1702 images including hybrid and Peking ducklings. The model was tested with test data and evaluated using a confusion matrix to measure the performance of the developed model in identifying DOD varieties.

Abstract

Network security has become a critical concern in digital data transmission. It is because of their growing adoption and complexity of cyber-attacks. Therefore, protecting network infrastructures and identifying malicious behavior becomes a necessity. This paper gives a comparative performance analysis of multiple machine learning (ML) classifiers for intrusion detection systems (IDS) by using the UNSW-NB15 dataset. To gain better insight into the IDS performances, several ML classifiers are being assessed. This includes the Decision Tree (DT), Random Forest (RF), Support Vector Machine (SVM), k-Nearest Neighbors (k-NN), Naïve Bayes (NB), and Gradient Boosting (XGB). The performance matrix in the analysis comprises the training score, accuracy, precision, recall, F1-score, training time, and AUC-ROC. The results reveal that DT and RF scored the highest training marks of 99.77%. Regarding accuracy, the RF model achieves the highest percentage at 95.05%. In terms of the computational time, k-NN displayed the lowest training time at 0.01 seconds. These analysis results provide guidance to the selection of appropriate ML-based cyberattack classification. It also provides insights for further research in ML-based cybersecurity systems to support the development of intelligent and efficient IDS solutions.

Abstract

This study presents the design of a mobile travel application named Explore, aimed at enhancing the tourism experience in the Ciletuh-Palabuhanratu Geopark, West Java, Indonesia. Using a User-Centered Design approach, the process followed four stages: Context Analysis, Defining Requirements, Design, and Evaluation. Key features include an AI-powered assistant chatbot, real-time crowd updates, ticketing, and intuitive navigation. The design evolved from wireframes to high-fidelity prototypes tailored for mobile use. Usability testing with fifteen participants using the System Usability Scale resulted in an average score of 81.5, indicating high user satisfaction and effective functionality. This application not only complements the existing Geopark website by offering a more interactive and functional platform but also improves access to tourism information for visitors. Additionally, it supports local economic growth by encouraging increased activity in nearby sectors such as culinary services, accommodations, and transportation. The findings highlight that integrating user feedback and AI-based features can significantly enhance user experience in digital tourism platforms.

Abstract

This study addresses the underutilization of student academic data at Universitas Hayam Wuruk Perbanas Surabaya, despite a significant trend of over 50% of students graduating within 3.5 years—raising important questions about academic quality assurance. To respond to this, the study aims to develop a data-driven graduation map by applying the K-Nearest Neighbors (KNN) algorithm to classify students based on their likelihood of graduating on time or late. Using historical academic records from 316 students of the 2022 cohort, the methodology involved data preprocessing, feature selection, implementation in RapidMiner, and algorithm testing. The KNN model was evaluated using a 70:30 training-to-testing split. Results demonstrated strong predictive performance of ROC (Receiver Operating Characteristic), including 95.74% accuracy, 100% precision for predicting delayed graduation, and an AUC (Area Under Curve) of 0.969. While the model was highly effective in identifying on-time graduates, it exhibited slightly lower recall for late graduates. These findings offer practical implications for developing targeted academic support systems and contribute to the broader application of machine learning in higher education analytics in Indonesia. Limitations include the use of data from a single cohort and reliance on one algorithm; future research may explore multi-cohort data and compare multiple classification methods to enhance generalizability and robustness.

Abstract

The escalating volume and often irregular structure of social assistance data pose significant challenges for efficient data retrieval in management systems. Traditional search algorithms, such as linear and binary search, frequently encounter limitations when handling these large-scale datasets. This research conducts a comparative study between two hybrid algorithms, Jump Binary Search (JBS) and Interpolation Extrapolation Search (IES), aiming to identify the most effective method for a web-based social assistance data management system. Evaluations were performed on a dataset comprising 480 names of social assistance recipients, measuring the number of iterations, execution time, and search accuracy. The results demonstrate IES's superiority over JBS in both iteration efficiency and execution speed. IES exhibited an execution time ranging from 0.002 to 0.006 ms, whereas JBS had an execution time ranging from 0.015 to 0.039 ms. Based on these findings, IES was successfully implemented into a Laravel-based application utilizing a MySQL database. This system is capable of executing searches in less than one second per request. This implementation significantly enhances the system's adaptability and provides an effective search solution for dynamic, large-scale data environments, offering rapid and efficient access to data.

Abstract

Digital transformation has fundamentally changed transportation services, yet existing research has predominantly applied traditional SERVQUAL frameworks without systematic integration with contemporary User Experience theories for Generation Z users. Limited research exists specifically investigating ride-hailing platforms among digital-native populations, creating a critical gap in understanding how generational characteristics influence service quality evaluation patterns. This study investigates the influence of User Experience (UX) on Customer Engagement (CE) in the Grab application among Generation Z users, utilizing the Service Quality (SERVQUAL) framework adapted for digital contexts. The research employed a quantitative approach with purposive sampling targeting 150 active Grab users aged 13-28 years who met specific usage criteria. Data collection utilized online questionnaires measuring five SERVQUAL dimensions, User Experience, and Customer Engagement variables through Likert scales, analyzed using Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM). Results revealed fundamental shifts in how Generation Z users evaluate digital service quality. Among SERVQUAL dimensions, only visual interface elements (Tangibles) significantly influenced User Experience (β = 0.586, p = 0.001), while traditional interpersonal service dimensions showed no meaningful impact. User Experience demonstrated exceptionally strong influence on Customer Engagement (β = 0.945, p < 0.001), with the model explaining 89.3% of variance. These findings indicate that conventional service quality models require substantial adaptation for digital service contexts, particularly for Generation Z users who prioritize aesthetic design and interface functionality over traditional service elements. The study contributes to understanding how digital-native consumers evaluate technology-mediated transportation services, suggesting that service providers should focus primarily on user interface design and overall experience architecture to enhance customer engagement in the digital economy.
