Abstract

Lead is one of the very dangerous heavy metals that can pollute the environment. Sidoarjo Regency is an industrial area in East Java which has several factories, some of which do not process industrial waste properly. This untreated waste is made directly into the water so that it pollutes the water so that it serves the biota in the water, one of which is mussel. This research aims to determine the effect of boiling in an effort to reduce lead levels in Kupang. This research was conducted by taking samples of Kupang in Balongdowo village, Candi Sidoarjo District. This research was included in an experiment to reduce mercury content with boiling time of 15 minutes, 30 minutes, 45 minutes and 60 minutes. The analyzed results are presented in tabular and graphical form. The results showed a decrease in lead levels at a boiling time of 30 minutes by 0.8886 mg / L with the difference reaching a decrease of 0.211 and a boiling time of 45 minutes can decrease by 0, 8211 mg / L with a difference of a decrease of 0.0675. This means that there is an effect of boiling in an effort to reduce lead levels in Kupang.

The method of taking with simple random sampling is a technique to get samples that are directly carried out on the sampling unit [1], analysis with the Multiple Linear Regression test by looking at the coefficient of determination (Ajusted) and the value of the beta regression (β). Tests carried out using a significant level <0.05% or 5%. The results of this study from households whose homes did not meet health requirements were found to be as much as 18.0% which in one year there were family members suffering from tuberculosis and in households that did not apply Clean and Healthy Behavior (PHBS) there were 18.8% in 1 year there are family members who suffer from tuberculosis.

The population is all passenger ships that dock at the port of Tanjung Perak Surabaya, with a total sample of 49 samples. The sampling method is by questionnaire and direct interview with respondents. Statistical tests using the Chi-Square Test. The results showed the average passenger ship leaning at the Port of Tanjung Perak Surabaya had a low risk sanitation level of 83.67% and a high level of risk of 16.33%. The relationship between the skipper's leadership style (pvalue = 0,0001), knowledge (pvalue 0.047), leaning time (pvalue = 0,0001), maintenance funds (pvalue = 0,0001), facilities and infrastructure (pvalue = 0,0001) with the level of health risks of the ship. From the results of the study it can be concluded that there is a relationship between the sanitary conditions of the ship and the leadership style of the skipper, the level of knowledge of the crew, the time of the ship berth, maintenance funds, facilities and infrastructure. The conclusion is that there is a relationship between the sanitary conditions of the ship and the leadership style of the skipper, the level of knowledge of the crew, the time the ship rests, maintenance funds, facilities and infrastructure.
