Abstract

Kebumen district is one of beef development centers in Central Java that requires numerous forage supplies (HPT). Farmers without personal foraging area have to buy forages almost on a daily basis. Forage business is an emerging and prospective business sector to improve farmers’ welfare particularly the income. Government is therefore expected to support in terms of facility and infrastructure to maintain a sustainable business practice.  The aim of this study was to investigate the necessity of forage business in cattle development center in Kebumen district, forage marketing channel, forage business revenue, profit margin, R/C ratio and government support in terms of infrastructure or policy related to forage business.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the abundance (type and amount) soil mesofauna and rubber tree growth (Havea brasiliensis Muell. Arg) in peat soil with different conditions of Mucuna bracteata. This research has been conducted in peat soil at social plantation area of PT. RAPP Teluk Meranti from January to March 2016. Analysis soil mesofauna and analysis soil carried out in the laboratory of soil science, Faculty of Agriculture, University of Riau. This research used purposive random sampling namely in rubber contained Mucuna bracteata life, Mucuna bracteata dead and without Mucuna bracteata. Determining the plant sample was randomly with diagonal method in order to get 5 rubber trees that are Mucuna bracteata life, 5 Mucuna bracteata dead and 5 without Mucuna bracteata. Data obtained from the calculation and interpretation of the data be stated in tables and analyzed statistically descriptive. The research show that in stands of rubber trees in the peat soil contained Mucuna bracteata life shows number of individual, family and population density (Kp) soil mesofauna is highest compared with Mucuna bracteata dead and without Mucuna bracteata. Abundance of soil mesofauna highest in rubber tree stands on peat soil which are Mucuna bracteata life dominated by the family Macrohelidae, Mucuna bracteata dead dominated by the family Macrohelidae and without Mucuna bracteata dominated by the family Hirudisomatidae. The rubber tree that is Mucuna bracteata life having the average circle stems is larger compared with Mucuna bracteta dead and without Mucuna bracteata. Abstract

 AbstrackHeavy metals in the water might be accumulated in the sediment as well in the aquatic organisms such as Pangasius polyuranodon. The purpose of this research is to understand the Pb content in the water, sediment and in the muscle of the fish captured in the Siak River. This research was conducted in February-March 2018. There were 3 stations, in the cruise line (St1), in the industrial ship building (St2) and in the residential area (St3). Samplings were conducted 3 times, once/2 days. Results shown that the highest concentration of Pb was in station II. In the water, the concentration of Pb was 0.820 mg/L, in the sediment Pb was 15.450 mg/Kg and in the fish muscle Pb was 2.778 mg/Kg. The concentration of Pb in water and sediments shown that the study area has been polluted and thus affect the aquatic organisms including fish. Logam berat di dalam air akan terakumulasi dalam sedimen dan juga terakumulasi dalam tubuh organisme akuatik salah satunya ikan juaro (Pangasius polyuranodon Blkr). Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui kandungan logam berat Pb dalam air, sedimen dan daging ikan juaro di perairan Sungai Siak. Penelitian ini dilakukan pada bulan Februari-Maret 2018. Dimana terbagi 3 stasiun, yaitu di jalur pelayaran (St 1), di industri galangan kapal (St2) dan di area pemukiman (St3). Pengambilan sampel dilakukan 3 kali, yaitu 2 hari sekali. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan konsentrasi Pb tertinggi terdapat di stasiun II. Dalam air, konsentrasi Pb adalah 0,820 mg/L, dalam sedimen adalah 15,450 mg/Kg dan di dalam daging ikan juaro adalah 2,778 mg/Kg. Konsentrasi Pb di air dan di sedimen menunjukkan area penelitian telah tercemar dan memberikan dampak terhadap organisme akuatik termasuk ikan.  Keyword : Heavy metal, plumbum, pollutant, fish.

Abstract

 Abstract  Siak River is one of polluted rivers in Riau. High Pb concentration  in the water may affects aquatic organisms living in the river, including Hemibagrus nemurus. A study aims  to understand the Pb content in the gill, kidney and muscle of the fish captured in the  Siak River was conducted in February-March 2018. There were 3 stations, in the cruise line (St1), in the industrial ship building (St2) and in the residential area (St3). Samplings were conducted 3 times, once/ 2 days. Results shown that in the fish from each station, the concentration of Pb was relatively high.  The Pb concentration of Pb in the gill   was 10.8-20.8 mg/kg, in the kidney was 13.2-22.2 mg/kg  and in the muscle  was 1.7-3.5 mg/kg. The Pb content in the fish captured from the study areas was high and it is recommended that the fish should not be consumed. Sungai Siak adalah salah satu sungai yang tercemar di daerah Riau. Tingginya kandungan Pb di air akan memberikan dampak pada organisme yang hidup di dasar sungai, salah satunya adalah Hemibagrus nemurus. Tujuan penelitan ini adalah untuk mengetahui kandungan Pb yang terkandung dalam insang, ginjal dan daging ikan baung di Sungai Siak. penelitian ini dilakukan pada bulan Februari-Maret 2018. Lokasi penelitian dibagi menjadi 3 stasiun, terdapat jalur transportasi (St.1), industri galangan kapal (St.2) dan pemukiman penduduk (St.3). pegambilan sampel diambil sebanyak 3 kali pengulangan dalam rentang waktu 2 hari. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa ikan disetiap stasiun telah mengandung Pb yang cukup tinggi. Konsentrasi Pb pada insang adalah 10,8-20,8 mg/kg, ginjal 13,2-22,22 mg/kg dan daging 1.7-3.5 mg/kg.  Kandungan Pb pada organ ikan menunjukan bahwa sungai tersebut telah tercemar dan disarankan untuk tidak megkonsumsi ikan yang berada diarea ini. Key words : pollutant, plumbum, heavy metals, fresh water fish

Along with the time mobile phone accessories business is also experiencing a fairly rapid development, not even just a store product that sells mobile phone accessories but also has sold the counter. Here the researchers want to examine the recommendation of mobile accessories, where the selected accessories are the accessories of the most popular consumers based on store ratings. The rise of accessories business is proving that the mobile phone accessories still deserve to be a good opportunity. Some telemonication experts predict that mobile users are increasing the number of populations. This can be an accessory business that has good prospects in the future. Based on the results of research using AHP method with 6 samples of best selling mobile accessories, where the data obtained based on the results of interviews with mobile shops in the city Pematangsiantar, obtained the calculation of AHP method for handpone accessories recommendation is 1. Abstract

ABSTRACTThe activities of petroleum drilling, ferry ports and leakages of underwater pipeline caused oil pollution in the coastal area of the Mengkapan Village.The oil pollutant will be carried by the waves  and settles to the sediment and it may causing  genetic changing in the microorganisms present in the sediment. The presence of oil pollution may trigger gene mutation in specific bacteria and it may be able to produce biosurfactants for degrading the oil. A study aims to investigate of biosurfactant producing bacteria in the sediment of the  coastal area of Mengkapan Village was conducted from March to May 2018. There were 2 stations, in the petroleum drilling area (St1) and in the Tanjung Buton port (St2). Morphological and biochemical characeristics shown that there were 3 bacteria species, namely Bacillus sp, Proteus sp and Pseudomonas sp present. Emulsification Index of the Bacillus sp was 42,85%, the Pseudomonas sp was  53%,and  Proteus sp was 25%, indicating that all bacteria obtained were potencial for producing biosurfactant. Keyword : Oil pollutant ,Pseudomonas sp , Emulsification Index, Biodegradation

Abstract

Abstract             Sail river has been polluted by heavy metals and those affects the organs of Notopterusnotopterus. To understand the content of Fe and Cu in the gills, muscles, and gonad of the fish, a study has been conducted on December 2017 to January 2018. Samplings were conducted two times, once/month, in the downstream of the river. Heavy metals content were analysedusing AAS.Results shown that the average concentration of Fe in gills, muscles and gonads were 2.123, 1.970 dan 1.095mg/kg, while those of the Cu were1.620, 1,585 dan 0,330mg/kg respectively.Fe and Cu concentration in the fish from the downstream of the Sail River were relativy high Keywords:iron, copper, aquatic organisms, fish organ

Abstract

ABSTRACTOil spilled polluted soil present around the Gathering Station (GS) pool of the PT. Bumi Siak Pusako – Pertamina Hulu. The presence of the oil may trigger gene mutation in specific bacteria in that area and they become able to produce biosurfactant for degrading the oil. A study aims to obtain the biosurfactant producing bacteria was conducted in April 2018. 100 grams of polluted soil samples were taken from the area around the Gathering Station pool. The soil was grinded and mixed with 40 ml Brain-Heart Infusion (BHI) media, and then was incubated for 1 x 24 hours. The bacteria were then grown using Blood Agar media and then was purified using MacConcey media. The pure bacteria were tested (biochemical and emulsification tests). Morphological and biochemical characteristics shown that there were 5 species of bacteria, namely Escheria coli, Pseudomonas aeroginosa, Bacillus careus, Proteus sp. and Klebsiella sp. Result of Emulsification index shown that all bacteria obtained were potencial for producing biosurfactant.Keywords: Oil spill, Escheria, Pseudomonas, Bacillus, Proteus, Klebsiella

Abstract

 Abstract The butchery liquid waste is rich in fatty oil and ammonia and its need to be processed before being dispose to environment. A study aims to reduce the fatty oil and ammonia content in that waste has been conducted in March – April 2018. The waste (315 L) was treated using a batch system that was consisted of 2 aerob and 2 anaerob tanks. The butchery liquid waste was kept for 10 days in anaerob tanks, 7 days in aerob tanks. By the end of the experiment, the fatty oil reduced from 63 mg/l to 4.5 mg/l (the effectiveness was of 92.85 %). While the ammonia reduced from 30 mg/l – 0.8 mg/l (the effectiveness was 97.33 %). Other water quality parameters such as DO was improved (from 1 mg/L to 5 mg/L), and pH also increased (from 6 to 8). The treated waste is used as media for rearing Brachionus plicatilis.Observations of Brachionus plicatilis were performed for 8 days. The peak of rotifera growth occurs in the sixth day, reaching 950,000 cells/ml. Based on data obtained, it can be concluded that the combination of bio filters is effective to reduce the fatty oil and ammonia content in the butchery liquid waste. Keyword :thebutchery liquid waste, organic pollutants, batch system, Brachionus plicatilis

Abstract

Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) Trans Semarang Koridor I merupakan salah satu moda transportasi umum yang ada di Bagian Wilayah Kota (BWK) I Kota Semarang. Keberadaan BRT Trans Semarang belum didukung penyediaan trotoar sebagai prasarana berjalan kaki (non motorized transportation) yang aman dan nyaman di sepanjang koridor. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengevaluasi kualitas trotoar di BWK I sebagai feeder untuk mendukung BRT Trans Semarang Koridor I di BWK I. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif dengan pendekatan kuantitatif. Analisis yang dilakukan adalah analisis karakteristik pejalan kaki berdasarkan masksud pergerakan dan moda yang digunakan, analisis kondisi trotoar berdasarkan preferensi pejalan kaki dengan Importance Performance Analysis (IPA), serta analisis kualitas trotoar dengan pendekatan Pedestrian Environmental Quality Index (PEQI). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan kondisi trotoar di BWK I belum seluruhnya optimal dalam memberikan keamanan dan kenyamanan bagi pejalan kaki. Lampu penerangan dan pagar pengaman merupakan variabel yang sangat penting dan menjadi prioritas utama untuk meningkatkan keamanan, sedangkan keberadaan pelindung cuaca, keberadaan tempat duduk dan kemiringan (ramp) permukaan merupakan variabel kenyamanan yang sangat penting dan menjadi prioritas utama untuk meningkatkan kenyamanan. Kualitas trotoar di Zona 2 sebagai pusat kota dan Central Business District (CBD) cenderung lebih baik dibandingkan Zona 1 dan Zona 3 yang merupakan wilayah penyangganya. Selain itu penyediaan trotoar masih memprioritaskan pada jalan-jalan utama koridor BRT, dimana trotoar yang ada memiliki kualitas basis (dasar) dan dapat diterima pejalan kaki.
