Abstract

The increasing competition in the business sector requires MSMEs to continuously innovate, including in product packaging design. UMKM Dapur Kue Mimih, a small business specializing in traditional cake production in Tangerang Regency, still uses transparent mica plastic packaging, which lacks visual appeal and does not reflect product quality. This study aims to identify key packaging design attributes valued by consumers and establish development priorities using the Quality Function Deployment (QFD) method and House of Quality (HOQ) analysis. This research employs a descriptive quantitative approach, involving 100 respondents as the consumer sample. The HOQ analysis results indicate that the most desired packaging attributes among consumers are practicality and portability (92 points), high-quality materials (84 points), and reusable multifunctional packaging (78 points). On the business side, the top technical priorities are product appearance (134.4 points), ergonomic design (101.7 points), and premium material selection (75.9 points). The findings reveal that implementing the QFD method in packaging design development can enhance product competitiveness and customer satisfaction. The recommendations from this study can be adopted by other MSMEs seeking to improve their packaging strategies more effectively.

Abstract

This study presents the development of an interactive, portable disaster evacuation simulation tool for elementary school students using the Quality Function Deployment (QFD) method. The tool aims to enhance student's ability to memorize and recall evacuation routes through hands-on learning and interactive play. Conducted as a case study in a private elementary school in Bantul, Yogyakarta, this research integrates the House of Quality (HoQ) framework to align technical specifications with educators' requirements. The simulation tool is designed as a modular labyrinth-style board that mimics the school's disaster evacuation map, allowing students to actively reconstruct escape routes and improve their spatial awareness and disaster preparedness. Findings reveal that the interactive and adaptable nature of the tool significantly improves students' understanding of evacuation procedures compared to traditional static evacuation maps. Additionally, the tool's portability and customizable design accommodate annual changes in school infrastructure, ensuring long-term usability and scalability. This study highlights the importance of incorporating game-based learning and interactive disaster education strategies into school curricula, promoting engaged learning and better emergency preparedness among young learners.

Abstract

his research investigates the factors influencing Gen Z students' adoption of ChatGPT in higher education to enhance academic productivity. It uses the Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) framework as a fundamental theory to predict the acceptance of new technology, which consists of Perceived Usefulness (PU) and Perceived Ease of Use (PEOU) as main factors. Furthermore, this research adds two additional factors: Social Influence (SI) and Competitive Pressure (CP). Therefore, this research uses four hypotheses as potential factors influencing ChatGPT adoption and includes TAM, UTAUT and TOE as the theory of the theoretical model. As a result, it provides a conceptual model and needs validation through future research involving specific Gen Z students in higher education. This research recommends using a population for all students who have adopted ChatGPT in Indonesia.

Abstract

The rapid advancement of Artificial Intelligence (AI) is reshaping entrepreneurship by offering new opportunities for innovation and market disruption. This study explores AI’s role in fostering entrepreneurial ventures by reducing uncertainty, enhancing decision-making, and enabling data-driven strategies. The research aims to examine how AI facilitates entrepreneurial opportunities, supports informed decision-making, and impacts business performance. A mixed-methods approach was employed, incorporating a systematic literature review, survey data from 114 entrepreneurs using AI, and semi-structured interviews with industry experts. Statistical and thematic analyses assessed AI's impact on entrepreneurial success. Findings indicate that AI enhances opportunity identification, improves strategic decision-making, and contributes to business growth. Entrepreneurs utilizing AI reported a 12.5% average revenue increase compared to 7.3% for non-AI firms and improved operational efficiency and customer satisfaction. However, challenges such as cost barriers, ethical concerns, and regulatory constraints were noted, particularly for small businesses. AI serves as a transformative tool for entrepreneurship, driving innovation and competitiveness. However, equitable access, regulatory balance, and responsible adoption remain critical for sustainable growth. Future research should explore scalable AI integration strategies to support diverse entrepreneurial ecosystems.

Abstract

The capital market serves as a key economic indicator, reflecting the performance of various industrial sectors, including the banking and pharmaceutical sectors. The Covid-19 pandemic in 2020 had distinct impacts on these two sectors, which were reflected in the movement of their stock prices. This study aims to analyze the differences in the average stock prices of the banking and pharmaceutical sectors listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) in 2020 using the 99% confidence interval method. The data used in this study consists of stock prices obtained from the official IDX website, with a sample of 10 banking companies and 10 pharmaceutical companies selected through the purposive sampling method. The analysis results indicate a difference in average stock prices of 932.5 ± 11,388 with a 99% confidence level. The calculation using the t-student table with t = 2.88 confirms that there is a difference in the average stock prices of the banking and pharmaceutical sectors in 2020. Although, on average, the banking sector has higher stock prices, the confidence interval shows a relatively wide range, suggesting the possibility of no statistically significant difference. These findings provide valuable insights for investors in making informed investment decisions and for capital market regulators in maintaining market stability.
