Journal of Industrial and Engineering System (JIES) adalah jurnal yang menerbitkan makalah penelitian asli yang inovatif dan artikel ulasan kritis di bidang teknik dan penelitian ilmiah. JIES merupakan jurnal ilmiah yang dikelola oleh Program Studi Teknik Industri, Fakultas Teknik, Universitas Bhayangkara Jakarta Raya. Abstract

PT Yorama adalah perusahaan yang bergerak di bidang garmen. Dalam rangka mengoptimalkan biaya produksinya, PT Yorama ingin melakukan analisis data biaya menggunakan metode linear programming dan menggunakan software POM QM. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis data biaya optimum di PT Yorama dengan menggunakan metode linear programming dan software POM QM. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode simplek. Metode simplek merupakan salah satu pendekatan yang dapat digunakan dalam memecahkan permasalahan linear programming dalam menentukan solusi optimal yang memiliki dua atau lebih variabel keputusan dimana dalam menentukan kombinasi optimal dilakukan melalui iterasi secara berulang terhadap tabel simpleks sampai ditemukan nilai yang optimum dalam masalah optimasi yang diteliti. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kombinasi produk yang paling optimal untuk diproduksi oleh PT Yorama adalah dengan memproduksi 2 kain sutra, dan 12 kain wol perhari. Kombinasi ini adalah keuntungan optimal yang didapat dengan keuntungan sebesar 480$.

Abstract

This research investigates the impact of product and service quality on customer satisfaction and loyalty in the competitive fast-food market of Bekasi. Based on customer survey data in 2022, customer satisfaction at 92.9%, where this figure is still below the minimum figure that must be achieved, namely 98%. The study utilizes path analysis to analyze the relationship between the independent variables, product quality, and service quality, and the dependent variables, customer satisfaction, and customer loyalty. Additionally, to propose improvements to boost customer satisfaction and loyalty. Employing an explanatory research approach, the study involves a sample of 100 respondents who have conducted transactions at KFC Taman Harapan Indah Bekasi at least twice. The path analysis reveals that both product quality and service quality significantly influence customer satisfaction and loyalty. However, customer satisfaction does not have a significant effect on loyalty. Moreover, the study finds that indirect effects through customer satisfaction are smaller than the direct effects. Based on customer complaint analysis, the prioritized quality improvements to enhance customer satisfaction and loyalty include implementing more effective marketing strategies, conducting employee training and development, and optimizing staffing through increased personnel or improved scheduling

Abstract

Coffee shops continue to develop as a business with increasingly fierce competition. To maintain and increase competitiveness, shop owners need to optimize their production and sales strategies. This research aims to optimize profits from the production of two popular coffee variants, namely Caramel Espresso and Americano, at Kedai Kudukumaha using the Linear Graphic Programming method. Through collecting data related to price, market demand, production costs and production capacity, we build mathematical models that help in making smarter decisions regarding resource allocation and pricing. The Graphic Linear Programming method is used to find the optimal point in the solution space that maximizes profits. The research results show that implementing the strategy resulting from this analysis can significantly increase the production profits of the two coffee variants. We hope that this research can add valuable insight for coffee shop owners and other stakeholders in the development of the coffee industry to improve operational efficiency and make more informed decisions to increase competitiveness and profitability.

Abstract

PT. Sinar Maju adalah perusahaan manufaktur yang beroperasi dalam industri plastik, dengan produk utama berupa pallet plastik. Dalam proses produksinya, perusahaan ini masih menghadapi banyak kendala, salah satunya adalah tingginya jumlah produk cacat yang dihasilkan. Berdasarkan data perusahaan pada tahun 2020, rata-rata produk cacat yang dihasilkan mencapai 7,1% per bulan, melebihi batas toleransi perusahaan sebesar 5%. Produk cacat tersebut mengindikasikan adanya waste dalam proses produksi, yang dapat menyebabkan kerugian bagi perusahaan jika tidak segera diatasi. Oleh karena itu, perlu dilakukan perbaikan segera terhadap permasalahan waste yang ada. Sebagai langkah awal dalam menangani masalah waste secara efisien, perlu dilakukan identifikasi waste kritis untuk mengetahui jenis waste yang paling dominan dan membutuhkan perbaikan segera. Langkah awal penelitian ini adalah dengan memetakan aliran fisik dan informasi yang terjadi dalam proses produksi guna mengidentifikasi waste yang terjadi selama proses tersebut. Selanjutnya, dilakukan pembobotan waste kritis menggunakan metode Waste Assessment Model (WAM). Hasil pembobotan menunjukkan bahwa waste defect memiliki persentase terbesar, yaitu 21,54%. Berdasarkan waste kritis yang telah diidentifikasi, dilakukan analisis akar penyebab terjadinya waste kritis tersebut menggunakan metode 5W + 1H. Dengan demikian, dapat dilakukan perbaikan segera sesuai dengan akar penyebab terjadinya waste kritis tersebut.

Abstract

This research aims to design a spare part integration system using a VBA Excel application as a solution to expedite the search process in a spare part warehouse in Tangerang. The main problems encountered include lengthy search times due to disorganized layouts and the absence of an adequate support system. The methods used include downtime analysis, redesign of spare part rack layouts, and development of a VBA-based search application. The results show that the proposed system significantly reduces spare part search times and improves the warehouse's operational efficiency

Abstract

This study aims to reduce downtime on line 4 due to instability issues with the booster maximator at PT. Torabika Eka Semesta. The method used is Total Productive Maintenance (TPM), utilizing Fishbone and Scatter Diagram analysis to identify the root cause of the problem. The results indicate that downtime due to this issue was successfully reduced from 1142 minutes to 337 minutes, achieving a reduction of 70.31%. The improvement in production quality is also reflected in the significant decrease in foamer rejects following the implementation of corrective actions.

Abstract

The retail company managed by the DKI Jakarta provincial government located on Tidung Island strives to improve the performance assessment of logistics staff. The performance assessment of logistics staff has so far followed the system of the company which only raises the criteria for employee assessment in general. The lack of a specific assessment system results in difficulties for management in measuring the performance of logistics staff objectively based on their duties and job responsibilities. This research aims to develop an objective employee performance assessment system using the Behaviorally Anchor Rating Scale (BARS) method. This method focuses on the preparation of assessment criteria with anchors that are repared by observing the actual activities of the work carried out by the logistics staff. The use of the BARS method in designing a performance assessment system for logistics staff on Tidung Island is very relevant because it can integrate specific behavioral approaches with geographical challenges. The result of this research is the design of a logistics staff performance assessment system in the form of an annual performance assessment form and is able to provide an objective assessment of the performance of logistics staff.
