The purpose of this study was to find out and analyze data that had the effect of applying the Project Based Learning learning model on increasing students' motivation to learn Geography at SMA N 1 Tanjung Mutiara, Agam Regency. The type of research used was a quasi-experimental research, the research design used was a non-equivalent Control Group Design. The population of all class X students of SMA N 1 Tanjung Mutiara, Agam Regency who were registered in the 2022/2023 school year consisted of 6 classes and the sampling in this study was conducted by random sampling, the instruments in this study were warm and the data analysis techniques were descriptive and inferential statistical analysis. Research results: Is there an effect of applying the Project Based Learning learning model to increasing students' motivation to learn Geography at SMA N 1 Tanjung Mutiara, Agam Regency, research. Based on the descriptive analysis of the experimental class (Project based learning) which obtained a percentage value of 84% in the High category while students in the control class (Conventional) obtained a percentage value of 78% with High. Based on the independent sample t-test regarding student questionnaire answers, it can be concluded that the sig value is 0.002 < 0.05 which states that the coefficient value is significant because tcount > ttable = 3.298 > ttable 1.670, thus it can be interpreted that H0 is rejected and Ha is accepted. so, there is an influence of the project based learning learning model on student learning motivation in the subject of Geography at SMA N 1 Tanjung Mutiara, Agam Regency.

Abstract

Plants play an important role in producing organic substances and oxygen needed by other living things, but plants can potentially threaten and disrupt the diversity of other plants, causing the quality of biodiversity to decline. Plants that develop in Indonesia can come from various parts of the world, and then these foreign plants can become invasive and have a negative impact on the ecosystem. The aim of this research is to determine the potential level of threat from invasive alien species to tree regeneration in Laweyan Village and the impact of invasive alien species on the environment. The method used is sampling using satellite imagery to determine observation points and methods purposive sampling by making a 10Ă—10 m plot. The results obtained were four plant species that were classified as invasive foreign plants in Laweyan Village, namely Leucaena leucocephala, Cnidoscolus aconitifolius, Sandoricum koetjape, Bougainvillea glabra with different levels of risk. The highest risk category is Leucaena leucocephala with a risk index of 115.2, and the second highest is Bougainvillea glabra with a risk index of 112.8. The risk level is medium, namely Cnidoscolus aconitifolius with a risk index of 100.8 and Sandoricum koetjape with a risk index of 56.28.

Abstract

The existence of invasive foreign plants is a threat to the global ecosystem. Its rapid growth often causes this plant to destroy the original habitat in an area. This research aims to identify tree-pole regeneration species in Laweyan Village. This research was carried out by direct observation using a sampling method with a plot measuring 10 x 10 meters and analyzed descriptively. Based on the results of research conducted in Laweyan Village, it was found that there were 38 species of pole and tree regeneration vegetation which were divided into 3 types based on their origin, namely native, introduced and invasive species. There were 19 species of native plants, 15 species of introduced plants, and 4 species of invasive plants. Meanwhile, based on their function, plants are divided into three, namely fruit plants, shade plants and ornamental plants. The plants that dominate based on their function are fruit plants, totaling 16 types.
