Abstract

The advancement of artificial intelligence (AI) technology has significantly transformed recommendation systems within digital marketplace platforms. While these algorithms are designed to enhance user efficiency and satisfaction, they may exhibit structural bias favoring certain business actors, particularly those who pay for promotional visibility. This raises critical concerns regarding fairness and consumer protection in digital transactions. This study aims to examine the practice of algorithmic recommendation from the perspective of business ethics and to assess the legal protection of consumers against potential system manipulation. The research employs a normative legal approach with an interdisciplinary critical analysis. The findings indicate that the preferential treatment embedded within algorithmic systems violates core principles of business ethics, such as justice and transparency. Moreover, current legal frameworks, including Indonesia's Consumer Protection Law, have yet to explicitly regulate the use of AI in this context. Therefore, there is an urgent need for adaptive regulatory frameworks that can address the complexities of digital technology, alongside ethical business commitments to ensure fair and accountable recommendation systems.

Abstract

One of the urgencies of splitting case files into several independent files is intended to place each defendant as a reciprocal witness among themselves. However, it is not uncommon to find that investigators have separated case files before being transferred to the prosecutor's office to be examined and carried out the public prosecution process. The purpose of investigators separating the files is: a) to avoid files going back and forth. b) due to lack of evidence in the case. c) to facilitate the determination of the role of the suspect. d) the possibility that the suspect has not been caught. Meanwhile, the purpose of Splitting by the public prosecutor is to facilitate the public prosecutor in carrying out the obligation to provide evidence at the prosecution stage and making an indictment for the crime of involvement because in this case the case is usually the same but there are no witnesses, and if the public prosecutor does not do Splitting on the files that are being split, the public prosecutor will experience difficulties and then have an impact on the public prosecutor's indictment not being accepted and the defendant being free on legal grounds. The results of the study show the following: First, in the Criminal Procedure Code and Law Number 31 of 1997 concerning Military Justice, it is regulated that splitting or separation of cases in the criminal justice process is the authority of the Public Prosecutor (PU)/Military Prosecutor (Otmil), not the authority of the investigator. Investigators carry out splitting based on requests from the PU/Otmil. Second, the application of splitting is only regulated for perpetrators who are in one jurisdiction of the judicial body. The application of splitting in connectivity cases before the determination of the judicial environment that has the authority to try the connectivity case is contrary to the law, resulting in the consequence that the indictment is null and void.

Abstract

One of the largest nickel producing areas in the world is Morowali, Indonesia. Stainless nickel is the raw material for battery cathodes and is also used as its precursor. In this study, Morowali laterite ore was extracted through a process known as solid-liquid extraction (leaching). Nitric acid and acetic acid solvents were used for the leaching process. The purpose of this research was to determine the effect of concentration and temperature of leaching acid solution on the percent recovery of nickel produced. Leaching was carried out with variations in concentration and temperature. In this study, the method used was acid leaching at atmospheric pressure (APAL). The results of this study indicate that increasing acid concentration and leaching temperature increases the percent recovery of nickel obtained. The best concentration and temperature from the results of this research are 7M concentration and 1100C temperature using nitric acid solvent with a nickel recovery percent obtained of 23.14% and 20.71%

Abstract

This study examines the role of reproductive hormones in stabilizing blood biochemical parameters in livestock subjected to different feeding patterns. Utilizing a qualitative approach through a comprehensive literature review, the research analyzes existing studies that highlight the relationship between reproductive hormones, such as estrogen, progesterone, and testosterone, and their influence on metabolic functions in animals. Variations in feeding patterns, including high-protein, high-fiber, and conventional diets, are explored to understand their effects on hormone levels and subsequent biochemical parameters, including glucose, cholesterol, and protein levels in the blood. The findings indicate that reproductive hormones play a crucial role in regulating metabolic processes, which are significantly affected by dietary composition. For instance, high-protein diets have been shown to enhance hormone secretion, leading to improved metabolic stability and better overall health in livestock. Conversely, inadequate or imbalanced feeding can disrupt hormonal balance, resulting in adverse biochemical changes. This research underscores the importance of optimizing feeding strategies to support reproductive health and metabolic efficiency in livestock. The insights gained from this study can inform livestock management practices, ultimately enhancing productivity and animal welfare.

Abstract

Article 6 of the Mortgage Rights Law stipulates that if the debtor is in default, the first holder of the Mortgage Rights has the right to sell the object of the Mortgage Rights on its own authority through a public auction and collect the debt from the proceeds of the sale based on Article 6 of the Mortgage Rights Law. In reality, there is uncertainty of legal protection to creditors holding Building Rights Title collateral on Management Rights land, which is evidenced by the difficulty of creditors to execute collateral objects when the debtor defaults. The challenge that arises lies in the implementation of execution, where the execution of collateral is not as easy as the executorial power contained in the deed of acknowledgement of debt, so that the position of the creditor juridically has the right to execute when the debtor is declared in default.Research method is a process, principles and procedures for solving problems encountered in conducting research, which is an effort to discover, develop and test the truth of knowledge, which is carried out using scientific methods. In conclusion, Hak Tanggungan is a security right regulated in Law Number 4 Year 1996 as a substitute for mortgage and creditverband, with objects including property rights, business use rights, and building use rights. The encumbrance process involves two stages: the making of a Deed of Granting Mortgage Rights (APHT) by a PPAT and registration at the Land Office, which then results in a Mortgage Rights Certificate with the same executorial power as a court decision with permanent legal force. Mortgage Rights have the principles of preference, droit de suite, speciality, publicity, and ease of execution. Execution can be carried out through public auction based on the executorial title in the certificate or sale under the hand with certain conditions, such as notification to related parties and announcement in the media. Mortgage rights are extinguished due to debt repayment, relinquishment of rights by the creditor, a court order, or the extinguishment of the secured land rights.

Abstract

Patient safety is one of the main pillars in improving the quality of health services. In the preliminary study, it was found that the implementation of patient safety was low, so it is necessary to increase knowledge and understanding related to patient safety. This study aims to evaluate the effectiveness of literacy-based education strategies in improving the understanding and implementation of patient safety. This study uses both descriptive analytical methods to explain the education strategy through the applied Learning Model and Method, as well as quasi-experimental methods with a pretest-posttest design involving hospital staff to assess the effectiveness of learning. The literacy-based education program is designed using an interactive approach, such as e-learning modules, simulation videos, and PDSA and FMEA competitions to trigger brainstorming and group discussions in all units as learning and sharing of patient safety experiences. This will improve critical and analytical thinking skills in solving patient safety problems in their work units. The focus of the education material covers 6 (six) patient safety targets. The results of this study showed a significant increase in medical personnel's understanding of patient safety by up to 78% and an increase in active participation of units in PDSA learning by up to 100%. In addition, there was a reduction in Adverse Events (KTD) by up to 30% after the implementation of the education program. This study concludes that literacy-based education strategies are an effective approach and can be integrated into routine training systems in health facilities to improve patient safety culture.
