The journal publishes writings on (1) historiography, (2) philosophy of history, (3) history of education, and (4) history educaiton. Historiography means the writing of history based on the critical examination of sources, the selection of particular details from the authentic materials in those sources, and the synthesis of those details into a narrative that stands the test of critical examination. Historiography studies cover chronologically various themes, such as local history, social history, cultural history, economic history, political history, military history, intellectual history, environmental history, and other historical studies. Philosophy of history, the study either of the historical process and its development or of the methods used by historians to understand their material. History of education is a study of the past that focuses on educational issues. These include education systems, institutions, theories, themes and other related phenomena in the past. History education includes studies of how history teaches in school or society, curriculum, educational values in events, figures, and historical heritage, media and sources of historical learning, history teachers, and studies of textbooks.

Abstract

ABSTRACT Research objectives: (1) The role of parents to foster children's learning interest in online social studies learning during the covid-19 pandemic, (2) Supporting factors for parents to foster children's interest in learning online during the Covid-19 pandemic, (3 ) Factors inhibiting parents from growing children's learning interest in online learning during the Covid-19 pandemic, (4) Solutions to overcome parental barriers to foster children's interest in learning in online learning during the Covid-19 pandemic. This type of qualitative descriptive research. The research subjects were: parents and students of class VIII SMP N 2 Paliyan. The research was conducted at SMP N 2 Paliyan on May 15 to July 30, 2022. Data collection techniques: observation, interviews, and documentation. Data analysis techniques: data reduction, data exposure, and verification. Test the validity of the data in this study using a credibility test by increasing persistence and triangulation: sources, techniques and time. The results of the study: (1) The role of parents to foster children's interest in learning by providing enthusiasm, motivation, encouragement, supervising, and accompanying children during learning. (2) The factors that support parents in growing children's interest in learning are that children can follow, understand, do not fall behind in lessons, get good grades, and become smart children. (3) The inhibiting factor for parents is that not all parents master cell phones and lack understanding of learning materials. Abstract

This study aims to find out : 1) the use of museums as learning resources, 2) the use of museums in increasing interest in learnig history. 3) the use of museums to increase achievement in learning history. The method used in this research is a qualitative research method. Data collecttion techniques in this study are by observing, document studies, and interviews. The data analysis techniques used in this study are data collection, data reduction, data presentation, as well as verivication and drawing conclusions. The data validity checking technique used is technical triangulation and source triangulation. The result of this study that : 1) by visiting the museum the existing collections can be utilized by students from learning resources by utilizing museums student become very activate because studets can deeper knowledge about history so that various information that is in accordance with the material being taught can be obtained from museum visits, 2) by visiting museums or with virtual museums students can find out collection or historical object so that learning will be very enjoyable besides making students enthusiastic, the impact will certainly arouse student learning interest, 3) visiting museums can improve student achievement, this can be seen from the results of student tests before and after learning visiting museums or virtual museums, there is learning in a museum that can increase student interest in learning, student achievement will also increase based on test result data.

Abstract

Digital-based learning media is a medium used to create audio-visual media. Digital media is very suitable for use in social studies learning in the 21st century. In the 21st century students are expected to be able to master 21st century skills with the 4C concept of communication, collaboration, critical thinking and problem solving, creative and innovative. The objectives of this study are 1) Knowing the steps for implementing digital media in 21st century social studies learning, 2) implementing digital media in 21st century social studies learning, and 3) evaluating the implementation of digital media using SWOT analysis in 21st century social studies learning. The research method used is qualitative by using the results of data analysis in the form of qualitative descriptive. Data collection techniques using observation, interviews, questionnaires, and documentation. The results of the research can be seen in the SWOT analysis which shows that the advantages of implementing digital media in social studies learning really need to be applied in the 21st century. Weaknesses in this study can be seen when observing students' attitudes in social studies learning on local history material regarding the role of local figures in fighting for Indonesian independence. Most of the students are still a lot preoccupied with themselves so that the center of attention is not fully paying attention to the future. In addition, it is a challenge for students to be able to express opinions and be more active. Opportunities in this study indicate that digital media is effectively used in the 21st century as a learning medium.

Abstract

The aims of this study are (1) to find out the origins of the Nglarak Blarak tradition in Kranggan Kapanewon Subdistrict, Galur, Kulon Progo Regency (2) To understand philosophy and development of the Nglarak Blarak tradition in Kranggan Kapanewon Galur Village Kulon Progo Regency (3) To understand and apply the tradition of Nglarak Blarak Di Kranggan Kapanewon Galur Village, Kulon Progo Regency.    This study uses a method qualitative description analysis. Method The qualitative method is a method based on real events. qualitative have. When data collection using observation, interviews, documentation and literature study. In data analysis using techniques such as data editing, data presentation and verification. The validity of the data uses discussions and triangulation Based on the results of the study it can be concluded that (1) the Nglarak Blarak tradition is a traditional game originating from Kokap, Kulon Progo. The Nglarak Blarak tradition is one of the games from Kulon Progo Regency. The Nglarak Blarak tradition has another word, namely Nglabrak which has the meaning of coming to someone or something passionate about negative things such as poverty, stupidity. (2) The Nglarak Blarak tradition has very diverse philosophies such as avoiding negative things, mutual cooperation, all stages have their own stages, and so on. In the development of the Nglarak Blarak tradition, it is held every year on the birthday of Kulon Progo Regency. (3) The Nglarak Blarak tradition has a very interesting procession. In the traditional procession, the Nglarak Blarak must have a team consisting of 3 men and 3 women and a game of dragging using the fronds of a coconut tree. On tradition. So the tradition of Nglarak Blarak should not become extinct and the next generation can play the Nglarak Blarak game

Abstract

This study aims to examine the innovations needed by history learning in the face of negative stigma regarding history learning which is considered "uninteresting". The intended learning innovation is the reconstruction of history learning through the application of the Project Based Learning (PjBL) model. This research uses descriptive qualitative methods by emphasizing the use of literary sources, both books and articles related to major themes. The results of this study show that the use of the Project Based Learning (PjBL) learning model at SMA Saintek Boarding School Uhamka which focuses on the involvement of students in completing projects that relate solving solutions to the realities of everyday life and are relevant to the problems faced by students. Involvement in the implementation of learning can shape the character of students and change the stigma of history learning which is considered "uninteresting".
