Abstract

This study discusses the transformation of mobile library services as an innovation in supporting information literacy and access to digital collections. The development of information technology in the digital era has changed the way people access and utilize information, requiring libraries to innovate through mobile-based services that allow access anytime and anywhere. Mobile libraries are an innovation that integrates digital collections, interactive features, and electronic lending systems to improve information literacy and equalize access to information. This study uses a literature review approach with data collection through the iPusnas, iJakarta, and several other mobile library applications. The data obtained was then triangulated to ensure validity. The analysis focused on three main aspects of mobile library services, namely information transparency, information retrieval, and digital service accessibility. The results of the study show that mobile libraries have implemented the principle of transparency by providing clear information on services, borrowing policies, and collection availability. In terms of information retrieval, there are search features based on title, author, category, and keywords that make it easy for users to find information. In terms of accessibility, the application is designed with a simple display, easy navigation, and flexible access via mobile devices This transformation of mobile library services supports information literacy, expands access to digital collections, and strengthens reading culture. It is also expected to serve as a reference for further research.

Abstract

The rapid development of information technology has driven significant changes to libraries, from conventional libraries to digital libraries. These changes have made libraries more popular and accessible through various mobile library applications such as iPusnas, iJakarta, and University eLibrary. Mobile applications are software designed specifically to run on mobile devices, such as smartphones or tablets. The implementation of smart mobile libraries is still uneven due to suboptimal technological collaboration. This condition has the potential to cause these services to be displaced by other applications that are more attractive and easier to use. Therefore, this gap demands a more integrated technological solution. This study aims to analyze how technological collaboration in smart mobile libraries can improve accessibility, information utilization, and user experience. The research method used is a qualitative research method with a library research approach. Data was obtained from secondary sources such as books, scientific journals, academic articles, dissertations, and official documents. Data collection techniques were carried out through the selection of relevant, credible, and up-to-date literature. The triangulation used was triangulation from various sources. The results of the study show that technological collaboration is very effective in helping to improve library accessibility, especially through online catalog features that support user needs. The online catalog feature facilitates real-time collection searches because it is integrated with the library system. In conclusion, the integration of digital library systems has an impact on improving accessibility in libraries, both in terms of ease of searching for information, flexibility of time and place, and service efficiency. Therefore, mobile libraries play an important role in improving the accessibility of library use and have the potential to become the main foundation for the development of more modern digital library services.

Abstract

Current developments in education show that libraries are also places for lifelong learning, thereby significantly supporting the sustainable development goal of Quality Education. In several countries, including Indonesia, variations in access, ethnic diversity of the population and the need for increasingly diverse curricula are encouraging libraries to use management approaches that are sensitive to the cultural complexity of users. on the dimensions of Motivation (CQ Drive), Cognitive (CQ Knowledge), Metacognitive (CQ Strategy), and Behaviour (CQ Action) with library management practices, How cultural intelligence is applied in library operations to support inclusion and quality education in SDG 4, which managerial strategies and collection policies successfully incorporate local knowledge so as to strengthen contextual learning and equitable access, evidence and policies linking SDG 4 indicators to culturally sensitive library service outcomes. The research method used in this study is a systematic literature review. Data sources were obtained from searching articles in research journal databases and searching the internet. The main database used was Google Scholar for the last 10 years, from 2015 to 2025. The results of the study indicate that integrating the framework of Cultural Intelligence and local wisdom into library management has proven to be a strategic and relevant approach, despite being relatively new. This integration has had a positive impact, such as increased participation, access and relevance of library services for diverse communities. Local wisdom plays an important role in strengthening cultural identity and making services more inclusive and empowering. This approach effectively links the function of libraries to SDG 4 (Quality Education), positioning libraries as agents of culture-based empowerment. To support this, an adaptive management model is required, with specific recommendations on the development of contextual cultural intelligence training, the documentation of best practices based on local wisdom, and the formulation of measurable performance indicators related to the SDGs

Abstract

This study analyzes the phenomenon of fragmented Islamic preaching content on social media as a new form of fragmentation of Islamic knowledge in the digital era. Using a qualitative approach with a digital case study design, this research focuses on viral content on TikTok, Instagram, and YouTube. Data were collected through digital observation (netrography), content analysis, and interviews with active users. The results show that the presentation of Islamic teachings in a concise and algorithmic format causes an epistemic discontinuity, a disconnect between classical sources and their delivery in the digital space. This fragmentation is not only informational but also epistemological, especially among the younger generation who tend to understand Islam through instant and emotional discourse. Social media algorithms act as epistemic actors that prioritize sensational content, create religious echo chambers, and shift religious authority from religious scholars to digital preachers. However, asocial media also has the potential to revitalize Islamic preaching if integrated with the principles of moderation, depth, and integrity. This study confirms that religious knowledge in the digital era is constructive, formed through the interaction of users, algorithms, and evolving digital narratives.

Abstract

The development of information technology has driven changes in student behavior in accessing and utilizing information sources, including campus libraries. Although access to information has become easier through the internet, utilizing credible academic sources remains a challenge. This study aims to analyze the level of information literacy of students in utilizing campus libraries to support learning needs. This study used a descriptive quantitative approach with a survey method of 428 respondents, students of the Faculty of Social and Political Sciences, Tidar University, class of 2024 and 2025. The research instrument was a questionnaire that measured five indicators of information literacy, namely the ability to identify information needs, search for information, evaluate information, use information, and utilize campus libraries. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistical techniques with percentage score calculations. The results showed that the level of information literacy of students was in the high category for all indicators. The ability to evaluate information obtained the highest score of 82.94%, followed by the ability to use information at 78.79%, the ability to identify information needs at 76.49%, utilization of campus libraries at 72.1%, and the ability to search for information at 71.78%. These findings indicate that students have good abilities in accessing, assessing, and utilizing information to support academic activities. However, there is still a tendency to use instant sources from the internet over more credible academic sources. The conclusion of this study confirms that students' information literacy is relatively good, but needs strengthening in the aspects of critical evaluation and optimizing the use of academic sources through campus libraries. This study recommends strengthening library-based information literacy programs to improve the quality of student learning.

Abstract

The development of information and communication technology has significantly transformed library service systems, particularly in the promotion and distribution of digital publishing products. Libraries increasingly utilize social media as a medium for communication, service promotion, and digital information dissemination to the public. This study aims to analyze the influence of social media on the promotion and distribution of digital publishing products in library services. The research method employed is a Systematic Literature Review (SLR), which reviews various scientific articles obtained from Google Scholar and SINTA-indexed journals published between 2016 and 2025. The research process was conducted through four stages: identification, selection, analysis, and interpretation of relevant articles. The results indicate that social media has a significant influence on the effectiveness of library promotion and the distribution of digital publishing products, such as e-books, e-journals, institutional repositories, and other digital information services. Social media platforms, including Instagram, Facebook, WhatsApp, and YouTube, are found to be effective in increasing interaction between libraries and users, expanding information reach, and enhancing user interest in utilizing digital library services. However, several challenges remain in implementation, including limited human resources, inconsistent content management, and low levels of digital innovation in libraries. Therefore, libraries need to develop more creative and sustainable digital promotion strategies to optimize the use of social media in supporting library services.
