Abstract

Background:  Understanding the role of teachers in improving the quality of student learning and knowing that students even though using e-learning can learn effectively or not and can improve the quality of student learning, even though they do not learn face-to-face or directly but the teacher must be able to know the ability of students to master and understand this learning and students get maximum and effective learning from the teacher because the teacher is an educator. In this education, especially in e-learning, teachers or educators do not provide maximum learning or are less effective in E-learning.Purpose: In order to know the teacher's perspective on improving the quality of student learning in E-learning.Design and methods: This type of research uses the case study method, data sources: documents and interviews using a qualitative approach. The research subjects were 6 elementary school teacher respondents. Data validation used inter-researcher triangulation.Results: the results of this study show that there are various kinds of teacher roles that are very important in improving the quality of student learning, even though e-learning is less effective in improving the quality of student learning.

Abstract

Background:  Students who have a good understanding of mathematics tend to have proud learning achievements. Good mathematics learning outcomes are influenced by intelligence and material mastery. However, teachers interact more with the white board than with students. students feel less enthusiastic because the teacher asks students to listen during the delivery of the lecture.Purpose: This study aims to determine the appropriate method in conveying integer material to elementary school students.Design and methods: This research uses classroom action research methods on 25 fifth grade students of SD Negeri Cibunian in the second semester. This classroom action research adapted the cycle scheme proposed by Kemmis and Taggart. This scheme consists of a series of plots, including planning, acting, observing, reflecting, and revised plans for each cycle.Results: The results of this study reveal the use of number lines in mathematics subject matter integers in class V can improve student learning outcomes. This is evidenced by the percentage of students who score above the pre-cycle passing score of 28% or 7 students complete learning, in the first cycle it increases to 56% or 14 students complete their learning, and in the second cycle it reaches 80% or 20 students complete learning.

Abstract

Background:  COVID-19 affects education systems and leading to the closure of schools, universities and colleges. As the consequence, the learning process is done from home in which needs some adjustment on the delivery method of teaching-learning. To be specific, the teaching-learning process is about how teacher and students interact each other based on a certain method of learning.Purpose: This study aims to investigate to what extent the NHT method can be used for an alternative method in promoting teaching-learning process in COVID-19 era.Design and methods: The study used library research method which investigates data from the documents, such as articles, news, books etc. related to NHT. The findings are validated by using triangulation data source technique.Results: the study reveals Transforming the method of teaching from offline class to online class is a way to solve in transferring the knowledge to the students. NHT is one of the many methods can use the meetings conference platform.

Abstract

Background:  The covid-19 pandemic is very bad for all areas of life in the world, both in the fields of economy, agriculture, education and so on. One of the impacts is on the field of education, the ministry of education issued a policy in the form of a circular on the learning process carried out by distance learning from home online, as well as the role of parents as the main supervisor during the learning process.Purpose: Thus the purpose of this writing is to find out how to establish the character education of learners during distance learning, because during this pandemic children spend more time at home in order to be disconnected from the spread of the coronavirus.Design and methods: This research uses qualitative method with the type of literature study, as well as the reflection of researchers in the form of knowledge, insight and experience of researchers from the current situation.Results:  In this study discussed that the formation of character education of learners can be formed by both parents as mentors during distance learning by habituating good behavior in order to become good human beings in adulthood under any circumstances.

Abstract

Background:  Knowing the movies is most likely a favorite activity, it can take apart in education. Education is one of the important things in our lives. Most adults think Karate Kid is inspiring a violation. It is shown many Kung Fu movements and fighting scenes. However, the process of characters in being someone that would be interesting to be analyzed. It is more like the teaching-learning process to get something of a student.Purpose: This study aims to analyze the characters and find out the educational value shown in this movie. In addition, research has focused on analyzing the spiritual values of education following two items of discussion namely value of giving and value of being.Design and methods: The method in this study uses a descriptive qualitative approach. Next, the analysis is done by watching the movie many times and then continued the analysis by collecting data from books and some Internet resources to find theories related to the topic to be discussed. The next step required to arrange the analysis is to prepare the material by selecting multiple events of the movie and classifying the events related to the analysis.Results: Based on the research finding, there are eight educational spiritual values found in The Karate Kid namely honesty, brave, peace, self-discipline, respect, love and affection, not selfishness, and also kind and friendly.

Abstract

Background:   Student parents are supposed to provide maximum chaperones in primary school study. However, some parents are not at home at all and work late into the night, including the parents of Pasir Jawa 01.Purpose: The results of student study can be seen from parents' association. Therefore, the intent is to know the parent's relation to the students' learning during long distance study.Design and methods: The method used was the quantitative method, the collection of data done with Numbers and written documentation. The analysis subject is student parents and student learning during the long range learning process.Results: This study suggests that there is no or no influence between parent-teaching and student learning during long range study. This is because some of the student parents work late into the night so that the child feels inadequate to his or her parents' attention, when parents are not at home only a few students are accompanied by other family members, a parent's education, parental understanding in operating the technology and the student's parent's cell phone monitoring policies that cause a parent's absence from the results of a student's learning over long distances.

Abstract

Background: Home environment as the first place of education for students should be able to provide a good role for its development. In fact, it is realized that there are still many problematic families or home environments that cause problems for students, especially in the learning process at school. Students' problems can be seen from where the problems come from, both from relationships in the family and family situations. Family problems and family situations can affect students in school in terms of learning concentration and school activities, resulting in decreased student achievement. Therefore, guidance and counseling teachers need to carry out home visits. Purpose: The purpose of this study was to analyze the effect of implementing a home visit on student learning outcomes. Design and methods: This study uses quantitative research where data collection in the field is carried out by means of a questionnaire (Questionnaire). The object of this research is the home visit service and the learning outcomes of grade 3 students at SD IQ Al-Islam. The location in this study was conducted at SD IQ Al-Islam and the time of the study was conducted in November 2020. Results: The results of this study indicate that the implementation of a home visit has a positive effect on student learning outcomes by 96% in grade 3 SD IQ Al-Islam, meaning the better the implementation of the home visit will improve student learning outcomes.

Abstract

Background: Children are easily to speak up their idea directly but do not know how to shift it into proper writing. The children, English learners, need the writing aspect due to fulfill every English aspect especially in their school academic. Purpose: This research is going to increase the students’ writing ability through eclectic method. Design and methods: This research has another concept with drawing the eclectic method in different ways. The writer tries to put four square writing methods in order to apply the eclectic method in developing students’ writing ability in EF Kids and Teens Kalimalang. This research is a descriptive quantitative research which will be done by field work. In this research, the writer uses the descriptive and quantitative design to analyze the data. The instrument and variable of this research consist of several parts. They are the directive of teaching method, the directive of the test form, and the result test. Results: The combining of Four Square Writing Method and classroom writing performance as Eclectic Method significantly improves the students’ score. It is clearly showed by the increasing of the mean score. The mean score of the pre – test is 68.46% while the mean score of the post – test is 79.13% which increased 10.46%.

Abstract

Background: Many fighters are not maximal in doing roundhouse kick, resulting in losses including causing injuries during the match, wasting energy because the shot that is shot does not hit the target. Purpose: The aim of this study is know what extent the relationship between the explosive power of the leg muscles and the flexibility of the waist muscles on the skill of the roundhouse kick in the athletes of the Putera Sekar Kolat Tanah Abang Pencak Silat College. Design and methods: This study used a correlation study method by examining the relationship between the explosive power of the leg muscles and the flexibility of the waist to the roundhouse kick skill. The samples in this study were 20 athletes who were still active in routine extracurricular activities. To process the required data from the flexibility test results (X1), anxiety test results (X2), and the scoring results of archery athletes, regression and correlation analysis techniques are used. Results: There is a positive relationship between leg muscle explosive power and waist flexibility on roundhouse kick skill. According to the regression correlation analysis, it was obtained that the value of Fcount was 1.973 more than Ftable 3.59 and a significant value of 0.00 less than 0.05.

Abstract

Background: Online learning is carried out as the right step to prevent the transmission of the Covid-19 virus, so that students will not miss lessons as planned in the curriculum for one academic year. When students learn at home following online learning provided by the teachers, parents are not always present to accompany and monitor the learning process of students, so inevitably independent learning is needed so that students can participate in learning activities and be responsible for complete the task of learning each subject. Teachers and parents must work together to supervise and encourage students to be able to learn independently. Purpose: The purpose of this study was to determine the extent to which elementary school students' independent character during distance learning as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic. Design and methods: This type of research is descriptive qualitative research. The subjects of this study were homeroom teachers and teachers of sports subjects. The data validation technique of this research is the source triangulation validation technique. Results: The existence of good examples and cooperation between teachers and parents will help students to be able to imitate and do so, so that awareness and habits will be formed in students to become humans who are full of responsibility with their duties. From the online learning process that is currently being carried out, it is hoped that the teacher is not satisfied with providing material through one learning application that is commonly used, especially in elementary schools, which is only through the WhatsApp application, the teacher can provide learning materials by making learning videos that are easy for students to understand. By considering the number / portion given, so as to minimize the stress level of students, especially by giving assignments that are always given every day.
