Jurnal Aksi Afirmasi merupakan jurnal pengabdian kemasyarakatan yang menerbitkan artikel dan penelitian hasil diseminasi yang fokus pada pemberdayaan masyarakat, pengembangan komunitas lokal, kegiatan pengabdian yang dilakukan oleh pelajar, pemberdayaan terhadap masyarakat perbatasan dan masyarakat adat, pelaksanaan kegiatan pengembangan pendidikan nonformal untuk masyarakat, kegiatan dalam aspek ekonomi, politik, sosial, budaya, dan agama yang yang sifatnya pemberdayaan berkelanjutan (sustainability empowerment). serta produk dan design teknologi untuk pengembangan komunitas. Pelaksanaan kegiatan pemberdayaan dapat menggunakan pendekatan PAR (Participatory Action Research), ABCD (Asset Based Community Development), CBR (Community-Based Research), pembelajaran yang sifatnya pengembangan (Service Learning and Community Development) atau metodologi pendekatan lainnya.

Abstract

The purpose of this service is to improve welfare through community and environmental empowerment in the use of wakaf. The empowerment activities that were carried out started from the observation of wakaf then continued with TPQ teacher training, traveling burdah and procurement of trash bins in various locations in the village of Sumberbening. The targets of this empowerment activity are the community of Sumberbening village, Islamic dormitory students, TPQ (informal institution for learning Al Qur’an) teachers and all members of community in Sumberbening. There are several stages in this program including planning, observing, implementing and evaluating. This empowerment activity is carried out in the process of the PKLI. The success of the implementation of this service is around 85%, because there are several work programs that have not been implemented. The program that has not been implemented is wakaf for reading books at the village. The evaluating of this service implementation is periodic assistance and increase partnerships with other parties that support the planned work program.

Abstract

Through religious figures, the administrators of Nahdlatul Ulama, people of Sindurejo village conveyed some aspirations in the FGD forum (Focus Group Discussion) which is held by KKN (lecturing based on the real social condition) students. One of the problems discussed is about poverty alleviation and alms distribution. Based on those problems, the Community Service team from IAI Al-Qolam which consists of lecturers and students tried to offer a program initiated by the Nahdlatul Ulama Organization through LAZISNU (Lembaga Amil Zakat Infaq and Sedekah) in the form of an NU Coin Box. NU coin box is a community independence program to collect alms and zakat, it’s managing for community who are in need. By this program, hopefully Sindurejo residents will be greatly assisted in distributing alms and zakat through trustworthy institutions. As for less fortunate residents to be slightly helped to improve their economy. The first Coin Box been collected was around Rp. 4,000,000. The target of this program are: NU Care, NU Dakwah and NU Smart. The NU Care program includes compensation for death, sickness compensation and disaster compensation. The amount of compensation for death and illness are Rp. 200,000. As for disaster compensation, it adjusted by the level of economic loses conditions. While, the NU Dakwah program includes assistance for organizational strengthening and Banom. The organizations and Banoms referred to Ranting, Fatayat and Muslimat. Support for Ranting NU is Rp. 200,000, while for the Muslimat and Fatayat are Rp. 150,000 per each. The NU Smart program includes assistance for TPQ (Al-Qur’an learning education for kids). The amount of TPQ assistance is Rp. 15,000 per each for all throughout the Sindurejo area. The program has been warmly welcomed by the community because residents can see the results of their charity directly.

Abstract

In Islamic religious education lessons, teachers need to apply an appropriate and attractive learning model in order to increase student motivation and learning outcomes. Because there are various obstacles experienced by students, this research is important to do. This study aims to determine the use of the VAK learning model on the learning outcomes of class VIII students at SMP Mambaunnur Gading Bululawang. In implementing learning activities, teachers use various learning models, one of which is the VAK (visual, auditory, kinetic) learning model. This Learning Model emphasizes direct learning experiences by maximizing the ability to remember visually (Visual), auditory (Auditory), and increase movement and emotion (kinetic). This type of research is Classroom Action Research. This research was conducted in 2 cycles, namely cycle 1 and II. Each cycle is applied in one meeting. The implementation in each cycle uses four stages; planning, implementing, observing, and reflecting. The results of this study indicate that the use of the VAK learning model has an effect on student learning outcomes. The increase in yield was seen in every cycle from pre-action to cycle II. Students who scored above the minimum completeness criteria (75) in the pre-action activity were 18%; about 5 students out of 27 students. In the first cycle the results showed a percentage of 40%; 11 students out of 27 students managed to show improvement. Whereas in cycle II the success of the method reached 100%, in other words 27 students experienced an increase in learning in the field of eating and drinking manners.
