<![CDATA[Training is an effort to develop skills through experiential learning activities. Hydroponic-making training is one of the work programs implemented in field course groups (kuliah kerja nyata) activities. The training is aimed at the people of Bukit Sari Village so that the village community is educated and can use land efficiently by planting vegetables using a hydroponic system and hydroponic training using the demonstration method. The sequence of implementation begins with the preparation stage, the implementation stage, and the closing stage. Based on the training that has been carried out, it can be seen that there is an increase in the results of the pre-test and post-test regarding community knowledge about hydroponics; it is known that the average community pre-test result is 58.1 and the community post-test result is 85.4, with an average increase of 27.4. People who have been very enthusiastic and open to receiving hydroponic training support these findings, demonstrating increased public knowledge and understanding of hydroponics. Based on the implementation of hydroponic training that has been carried out, hydroponic training activities provide many benefits to the community, including being productive, creative, and innovative in utilizing land and time. <![CDATA[Dental and oral health is a very important part of general health. Damage to teeth can affect human quality of life. Therefore, it is very important to maintain the oral cavity and teeth so that they remain healthy. The most important preventive measure so that teeth don't get damaged quickly is to maintain proper oral and dental hygiene every day, namely by brushing your teeth. . Brushing your teeth regularly and correctly is the main method for removing plaque and controlling diseases caused by plaque, such as caries and periodontitis. Counseling is an effort that can be made to change children's actions in maintaining dental and oral health so that optimal levels of dental and oral health are achieved. Counseling is carried out using the lecture method and using pantomime. This community service activity was carried out in the form of socializing tooth brushing techniques and carrying out dental and oral examinations for 76 students of SDN 106813 in Amplas Village, Percut Sei Tuan District, Deli Serdang Regency. Community service activities have been carried out, with the results obtained that the def-t number is 322 with an average def-t of 4.24. This condition is in the high category and some of the students' permanent teeth already have caries.]]>

<![CDATA[The number of drug cases in Cermin Kiri Village Beach tends to increase, this occurs because community participation and awareness of drugs is still lacking. Drug abuse is one of the prohibitions in Islam. Inhaling drugs can damage the mind, and we are obliged to protect our minds because the mind is a source of responsibility for a servant of Allah SWT. In addition, geographical and environmental factors also support drug smuggling and transactions. The purpose of this study is to determine the role of government and society in drug cases that occur in Pantai Cermin Kiri Village and how to overcome them. The method used is descriptive qualitative method, which is by collecting information through observation in-depth interviews and other information related to this research. The researcher's review sees that the role of the government and the community is to form an IBM unit that handles drug cases in this village, with the holding of the Desa Bersinar (Clean from Drugs) program having a good impact on the village by approaching the IBM Unit which conducts socialization to convey the dangers of drugs and how to overcome them. The head of the IBM unit, who is a religious figure in the village, approaches the understanding of Islamic theology for drug addicts in social and religious behavior. Based on the existence of religious knowledge taught both by the family and by religious leaders, it is a spiritual approach to get closer to God in order to rebuild moral character, and is considered capable of treating various kinds of diseases of the body and soul.]]>

<![CDATA[Posyandu (integrated service post) is the government's effort to provide maternal and child health services to make things easier for the Indonesian people. Posyandu is also an organization that can mobilize local communities to carry out outreach and mutual cooperation to clean the environment around the community so that it can be healthy and clean. The aim of this research is to determine community participation in posyandu, the impact and benefits of posyandu, the obstacles felt by cadres and participants, and also funding to organize the posyandu program. This qualitative research is descriptive. This research collects data by interviewing sources. Interviews were conducted with questions and answers regarding the organization of the Posyandu program with sources who supported this research. Improvements are needed, such as providing more complete facilities, strategic locations, and timeliness of programs, to maintain and increase the effectiveness of community empowerment programs through posyandu. Community participation in empowerment programs, especially through posyandu, has a significant positive impact on monitoring children's health. Community enthusiasm and the active role of cadres in providing education about nutrition, immunization and disease prevention create an environment that supports children's welfare.]]>

<![CDATA[This scientific article aims to examine how the participation of the Sidourip Village community in the development of waste-based handicraft and agriculture businesses can increase awareness and role as innovative and creative entrepreneurs. This research was conducted in Sidourip Village, Beringin District, Deli Serdang Regency during the service period from July 18 to August 18, 2023. This research uses a Participatory Action Research (PAR) approach that involves a series of Focus Group Discussions (FGD) as a method to explore in-depth understanding of community participation dynamics, the role of the 2023 UINSU KKN Program, and the potential for economic transformation through waste-based business development. The sample of this study involves several heads of families from 4 hamlets with different economic backgrounds. The results of this study show that FGD can be an effective platform for stimulating community creativity and innovation in processing waste into valuable products. This research also illustrates that the 2023 UINSU KKN Program has an important role as an agent of change supporting local economic transformation. Thus, this research provides a significant contribution to sustainable local economic development through the utilization of cloth and agricultural waste in Sidourip Village.]]>

<![CDATA[This community service (PkM) aims to identify the material culture of Cirebon and produce a material culture map that can be accessed through the website so that it can be a reference data in the development of the creative economy in Cirebon. Through the Asset Based Community Development (ABCD) method, community service members carry out community service steps through appreciative inquiry, community maps, transects, and asset mapping to collect material culture information and produce output in the form of an interactive map of Cirebon's material culture. The results show that Cirebon is one of the regions that has rich local culture which has the potential to be developed into digital media that can be reached by the wider community. This potential development is realized in a website that contains an interactive map of Cirebon culture with the name Telusur Cirebon. Telusur Cirebon is a service community product that contains interactive map content, information cards (material culture), and a list of references that examine material culture. The creation of Telusur Cirebon provides an opportunity for sustainability of the PkM program because practically it has a role in: 1) presenting cultural data with easy-to-reach internet access; 2) ways to preserve or archive Cirebon's cultural riches; and 3) make it easier for academics (researchers/lecturers) to analyze research references in the form of journals/books about Cirebon culture which are available online (e-journals/e-books). Sustainability of the community service program can also be carried out through a collaboration scheme between LP2M IAIN Syekh Nurjati Cirebon, the government, local culture-based communities/institutions, and the private sector by continuing to complete data about Cirebon culture.]]>

<![CDATA[Limbah yang dibuang sembarangan oleh Home Industri pengolahan ikan asin di kota Tanjung Balai menimbulkan pencemaran bagi lingkungan perairan. Sehingga dilakukan penelitian yang bertujuan untuk mengetahui lebih jelas mengenai bentuk limbah yang dihasilkan home industri pengolahan ikan asin di kota Tanjung Balai dan cara menanggulanginya. Berdasarkan metode observasi dan wawancara diperoleh bahwa tercium bau busuk yang menganggu masyarakat sekitar dan air parit jadi menghitam. Upaya yang bisa dilakukan dalam menanggulangi masalah limbah yaitu menerapkan Undang-Undang Nomor 32 Tahun 2009 Tentang Perlindungan Dan Pengelolaan Lingkungan hidup terhadap izin usaha home industry agar tidak membuang limbah sembarangan. Peran pemerintah dan masyarakat sangat penting dalam menanggulangi masalah limbah yang dibuang oleh pihak industri. Terjadinya pencemaran disebabkan kurangnya pemerintah dalam menegakkan hukum yang berlaku. Sehingga pihak industri tidak memiliki izin dalam membuang limbah yang justru berdampak merugikan bagi masyarakat sekitar. Dari kegiatan KKN ini, kami berharap agar pihak home industri pengolahan ikan asin membuat sumur resapan yang digunakan untuk membuang limbah agar tidak mencemari lingkungan sekitar.]]>

<![CDATA[Teachers are required to always be ready and responsive in following technological developments in the field of education. One of them is providing the latest learning media and in accordance with learning needs. However, facts in the field show that so far the learning media used has not attracted students' interest in learning. The aim of this activity is to overcome this problem through assistance in using the FlexClip application in compiling animated videos at the SMK Swasta Kesehatan Darussalam Lhokseumawe. This activity is divided into three stages, namely preparation, implementation, and monitoring and evaluation. Meanwhile, the participants in the activity were twenty teachers at the SMK Swasta Kesehatan Darussalam Lhokseumawe. This activity received a positive response from the teacher because after participating in the mentoring activity the teacher was able to use the FlexClip application to compose animated videos as a means of explaining complex concepts in a more visual and interesting way for students.]]>

<![CDATA[The increase in degenerative diseases is generally caused by an unhealthy lifestyle, such as a diet that does not pay attention to the balance between food intake and needs and a sedentary lifestyle. Some cases of degenerative diseases can also be triggered by a lack of information and knowledge regarding degenerative diseases. Degenerative diseases also have a fairly high mortality rate, according to the Ministry of Health, the number of hypertension cases in 2019 in Indonesia was 63 million, while the death rate reached 427 thousand. So there is a need for health education aimed at reducing degenerative rates. Counseling regarding degenerative diseases was carried out at the Bumiaji Health Center, Pandanrejo Village, Batu City with the elderly who were prolanis participants at the Bumiaji Health Center carried out with a series of activities starting with the provision of a pre-test, counseling, discussion and question and answer, as well as giving a post-test which was carried out in a group forum. This research is a type of quantitative research using survey methods (pre-test and post-test). Data analysis was carried out after data from all respondents was collected and processed using SPSS and Microsoft Excel software. From the results of the data analysis obtained, there was an increase between the pre-test and post-test results. The number of participants who answered correctly during the post-test was greater than the number of participants who answered correctly during the pre-test. From these results it can be said that there is a significant influence due to providing education about degenerative diseases to respondents. With the community service activities that have been carried out, it is hoped that the elderly participants in the Bumiaji Community Health Center Batu City prolanis can increase their knowledge about degenerative diseases and also that they can be more aware of the existence of degenerative diseases that can harm the body.]]>
