Abstract

Background: Pictorial health warning on cigarette packs has been implemented since 2014, but smokers in Indonesia increase every years. Pictorial health warning on cigarette packs must be continuously evaluated regarding its effectiveness in reducing smoking behavior in Indonesia. Regulated about Regulations of pictorial health warning on cigarettes packs are expected to make smokers to quit smoking and regulations that have been in effect since 2014 should have been evaluated to see pictorial health warning on cigarettes packs that can change the behavior of smokers or prospective smokers in adolescents. This study aims to describe perceptions of pictorial health warning on cigarette packs and smoking behavior and intention to quits smoking of undergraduate student of state Islamic University of North Sumatra. Methodology: This research was conducted to students of the Islamic University of North Sumatra as many as 215 students. The study was conducted in March 2019 using a structured questionnaire that had been prepared. The data in this study will be presented in the form of frequency distributions and then the results are presented in the table. Results: The results of this study indicate that the respondents felt not fear with pictorial health warning on cigarette packs as many as 165 people (76.7%). For the smoking behavior of students it was found that as many as 147 people (68.4%) stated that they had not smoking and respondents who stated smokers as many as 68 people (31.6%), wanted to stop smoking after seeing picture health warning on cigarette packaging as many as 28 people (41.2%). Respondents who said they would continue smoking even though they had seen pictorial health warning on cigarette packs as many as 40 people (58.8%). Conclusion: The majority of students undergraduates of the North Sumatra State Islamic University (UIN SU) were not afraid when they saw pictorial health warning on cigarette packs and students undergraduates have smoking behaviour. Those who smoke said they wanted to stop smoking after seeing pictorial health warning on cigarette packs especially when looking at ppictorial health warning on cigarette packs related to smoking resulting in lung cancer.

Abstract

Background: Leaflet and poster calendars are one medium to provide health education to patients with pulmonary tuberculosis on the treatment of pulmonary Tuberculosis. The purpose of this research for media want to effectivity leaflet and poster calendars on health promotion to improve the knowledge and attitudes of pulmonary tuberculosis treatment at the Martubung Public Health Center. Methods: Research is a quasi-experimental design with pre-test and post-test group. The population in this study were all patients with pulmonary tuberculosis treatment in Martubung Public Health Center and analyzed with the wilcoxon test. Results: The results of the study using the wilcoxon test showed that the leaflet could increase the pretest value of 10 knowledge to 11.03 (p <0.001) and the attitude of having a pretest value of 41.77 to 45.7 (p <0.001). The wilcoxon test results show that the poster calendar can increase the pretest knowledge value from 8.7 to 11.97 (p <0.001) and the pretest attitude value from 43.7 to 50.27 (p <0.001). Conclusions: The media are most effective in improving knowledge and attitudes about the treatment of patients with pulmonary tuberculosis disease in Martubung Public Health Center is media poster calendar from the average value based on the pre-test and post-test conducted.

Abstract

There was an increase in BPJS contributions in 2020 by 100%, while non-receiving workers (PBPU) had an uncertain income each month. Non-Receiving Wages Workers (PBPU) have financial problems over the increase in BPJS contributions to increase the risk of Non-Receiving Wages Workers (PBPU) to stop using BPJS as their health insurance. This study aims to analyze the ability and willingness to pay non-wage worker patients (PBPU) of the National Health Insurance. This research uses quantitative research methods. This research was conducted in Medan City from January to August 2020. The sample of this study was 96 patients who were not receiving wages (PBPU). This study used a questionnaire and analyzed using the chi-square test. This study indicates that the respondents in the ATP 1 category are capable of 54.2%. For the non-food ATP 2, the capable category was 74.0%, and the non-essential category was not able as much as 65.6%. The willingness to pay is based on the highest normative WTP value in the 3rd class category, namely 87.5%, the most actual WTP is also in the 3rd class category, namely 66.7%. Knowledge of good category JKN was 65.6%. Non-Receiving Wage Workers (PBPU) still have the willingness and ability to pay the increase in BPJS contributions, especially in the 3rd class category.

Abstract

Sex education is one of the most effective ways to be done in the current generation and parents have a very important role as a place to exchange information with children, especially related to child sexual problems. This research is descriptive with quantitative research with cross-sectional design. The population is parents (father and mother) who have male and female adolescents in Simatahari Village, Kotapinang District, South Labuhanbatu Regency, as many as 55 respondents as respondents. Data analysis in this study only describes the frequency distribution of father and mother characteristics, father's perception and mother's perception of sex education for youth. The results of this study indicate that the majority of parents both father and mother who have adolescents have ages 41-50 years, have education in the junior high school graduation category. the majority of fathers have perceptions of sexual education in the category of negative perceptions of sexual education and the majority of mothers have perceptions of sexual education in the category of negative perceptions of sexual education. It is suggested to fathers and mothers to provide early sex education to their young men and women so that teenagers can avoid the risk of deviant sexual behavior and sexual violence. To parents both fathers and mothers should learn more about sex education in the Islamic view so that fathers and mothers understand better in providing information to their children about early sex education. Keywords: Perception, Parents, Sex Education, Youth

Abstract

AIDS is a disease that is still high in all parts of the world, including Indonesia. Gender is a factor in the occurrence of stigmatization in adolescents. This study aimed to determine the stigma factor for HIV/ AIDS among adolescents in Medan City. This research is a quantitative descriptive study using a cross-sectional study design with a quantitative approach. This research was conducted in Medan City conducted from August to December 2020. The data source in this study was primary data obtained from interviews. Collecting data by direct interviews using a structured questionnaire. Analysis of the data in this study using descriptive analysis and crosstab using the SPSS version 22 program. The results showed that as much54 girls do not want to swim in the same swimming pool as HIV/ AIDS, 55 girls do not want to eat/drink a plate with HIV/ AIDS, 46 girls do not want to use the toilet with HIV/ AIDS, 36 girls do not want to touch their skin with HIV/ AIDS. HIV/ AIDS, 52 teenagers do not want to sleep together with HIV/ AIDS, and 57 young women do not want to wear the same clothes as HIV/ AIDS. It was concluded that female adolescents are more likely to stigma on people living with HIV/ AIDS than male adolescents. It is necessary to carry out socialization and health education to adolescents to eliminate the stigmatization of HIV/ AIDS.

Abstract

Smoking behavior in Indonesia is still high. Health warning for room cigarette smoke is 50% of the surface of cigarette packs, but Indonesia is still a country with cigarette smoke in ASEAN at 40%. This study aimed to determine the effect of cigarette packaged image messages on adolescent smoking intentions in Medan. This study used a cross-sectional method. The number of samples in this study was 68 teenagers in Medan City. This study uses a questionnaire as a primary data aid. Bivariate analysis using the chi-square test. The results showed that there were 52.9% respondents aged 20-21 years and had a general department of 52.9%, as many as 52.9% of respondents in semester 4 were 55.9%. The majority of respondents aged 20-21 years without consuming 1-5 cigarettes/day were 55.6%. Responding to fear of cigarette packaged picture messages and having the intention of smoking as much 14.7%. Respondents were not afraid of the cigarette packaged picture messages and had no intention of quitting smoking as much as 17.6%. It can be detrimental to respondents that with the perception of fear, the message of cigarette packs of images has a risk of 1,885 times the intention to quit smoking than respondents who do not have the perception of fear of the cigarette pack image message. It is hoped that the government will expand the picture message on cigarette packets to increase the desire to quit smoking and reduce the number of smokers in Indonesia.

Abstract

Tindakan ibu nifas dalam mengkonsumsi kapsul vitamin A sangatlah penting.Periode masa nifas pada seorang ibu membuat ibu nifas harus memenuhi kebutuhan vitamin A untuk ibu nifas dan anaknya.Kekurangan vitamin A pada ibu nifas akan dapat mengakibatkan penurunan daya tahan tubuh baik pada ibu nifas maupun kepada bayi. Kabupaten Labuhanbatu Selatan memiliki cakupan vitamin A sangat rendah jika dibandingkan dengan kabupaten lainnya di Provinsi Sumatera Utara. Penelitian menggunakan jenis deskriptif dengan design crossectional. Populasi penelitian ini sebanyak 355 orang ibu nifas di Kecamatan Kotapinang dan sampel dalam penelitian ini sebanyak 57 orang ibu nifas. Instrumen dalam penelitian ini menggunakan kuesioner berstruktur yang sudah dipersiapkan. Peneltian ini disajikan data distribusi dalam bentuk tabel frekuensi. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa sebagian besar responden memiliki kategori tindakan sedang yaitu sebanyak 52 orang (91,2%), sedangkan selebihnya berada pada kategori tindakan buruk yaitu sebanyak 5 orang (8,8%). Seluruh responden atau sebanyak 57 orang (100% ) responden memiliki sikap dengan kategori sedang. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa sebagian besar responden memiliki kategori pengetahuan sedang yaitu sebanyak 38 orang (66,7%) dan kategori pengetahuan baik yaitu sebanyak 19 orang (33,3%). Diharapkan agar petugas kesehatan Puskesmas di Kecamatan Kotapinang dan pemuka masyarakat turut berpartisipasi dalam memberikan informasi mengenai konsumsi kapsul Vitamin A kepada ibu nifas. Diharapkan kepada ibu nifas untuk mengkonsumsi kapsul Vitamin A segera setelah diberikan oleh petugas kesehatan (bidan) setelah melakukan kunjungan nifas.ABSTRACTThe behavior of postpartum mothers in consuming vitamin A capsules is very important, the postpartum period is a very important period for postpartum mothers and their babies. During the puerperium period a mother must have sufficient vitamin A to meet the needs of vitamin A for postpartum mothers and infants. The purpose of this study was to determine the behavior of postpartum mothers in consuming vitamin A capsules in the Kotapinang District of Labuhan Batu Selatan District. This type of research is cross-sectional research with purposive sampling technique. The study population was 355 people in post-partum mothers in the Kotapinang Subdistrict working area and 57 people in the study sample. Presentation of data using frequency distribution tables. The results showed that the predisposing factors for postpartum mothers included moderate knowledge categories as many as 24 people (42.1%), good attitude categories as many as 23 people (40.4%), for enabling factors for most health centers / health worker practices (midwives, doctor) too far from home that is as many as 43 respondents (75.4%). Reinforsing factors, namely health workers never explained / provided counseling about vitamin A capsules as many as 31 respondents (54.4%), families did not provide an explanation of taking vitamin A capsules as much as 46 respondents (80.7%). The act of postpartum mothers in consuming vitamin A capusl was at a low level of 24 people (42.1%). From the results of the study it was suggested that health workers participate in providing information about the consumption of vitamin A capsules for pregnant women and niifas mothers. Abstract

Malaria is an ancient disease, which is that still survive to this day, which is transmitted by the bite of Anopheles mosquito containing plasmodium, and poses a health problem that causes anemia, lowered work productivity and even death. Cases of clinical malaria in Langkat in the last three years has increased, which in 2010 from 47.18 per 1000 population increased to 63.79 per 1000 population in 2012. This type of research used in this study is quasi-experimental with a pretest-posttest design. The population in this study are all Community Leaders in Kutambaru Subdistrict, Langkat district totaling 36 people. The sample is the entire population, numbering 36 people were divided into 2 groups: with leaflet and modules media. Analysis of the data using a statistical test Wilcoxon. The results of this study showed that the average improvement of knowledge and attitude was more effectively obtained through leaflet media compared to using modules media.Discussions using leaflet media are more effective compared to the p value module (0,000) <α (0.05). Discussion by using leaflet media is more effective than the module in improving the attitudes of community leaders p (0,000) <α (0.05).It is recommended that the health extension workers Puskesmas Maryke more active in providing health education to the community leaders on the prevention of malaria by using media modules and leaflets.For community leaders to be more active in finding and conveying information about malaria prevention to the community in their respective villages.ABSTRAKMalaria adalah penyakit purba,sebuah penyakit bertahan hingga hari ini, yang ditularkan oleh gigitan nyamuk Anopheles yang mengandung plasmodium, dan menimbulkan masalah kesehatan yang menyebabkan anemia, menurunkan produktivitas kerja dan bahkan kematian. Kasus malaria klinis di Langkat dalam tiga tahun terakhir telah meningkat, yang pada 2010 dari 47,18 per 1.000 populasi meningkat menjadi 63,79 per 1.000 populasi pada 2012. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah quasi-eksperimental dengan desain pretest-posttest. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah semua Tokoh Masyarakat di Kecamatan Kutambaru, Kabupaten Langkat yang berjumlah 36 orang. Sampel adalah seluruh populasi, berjumlah 36 orang dibagi menjadi 2 kelompok: dengan media leaflet dan modul. Analisis data menggunakan uji statistik Wilcoxon. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa peningkatan rata-rata pengetahuan dan sikap lebih efektif diperoleh melalui media leaflet dibandingkan dengan menggunakan media modul. Diskusi menggunakan media leaflet lebih efektif dibandingkan dengan modul nilai p (0,000) <α (0,05). Diskusi dengan menggunakan media leaflet lebih efektif daripada modul dalam meningkatkan sikap tokoh masyarakat p (0,000) <α (0,05) .Disarankan bahwa petugas penyuluh kesehatan Puskesmas Maryke lebih aktif dalam memberikan pendidikan kesehatan kepada para pemimpin masyarakat tentang pencegahan malaria dengan menggunakan modul media dan selebaran. Abstract

Saat ini banyak sekali ditemukan anak-anak yang mengalami obesitas Obesitas termasuk pada siswa sekolah dasar. Obesitas menjadi permasalahan yang sangat serius bagi siswa sekolah dasar karena akan dapat memicu terjadinya berbagai penyakit degeneratif kedepannya. Salah satu yang memiliki peran penting dalam pencegahan obesitas pada siswa sekolah dasar adalah guru, hal ini disebabkan guru memiliki waktu yang lama bersama siswa sekolah dasar di sekolah.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis peran guru dan kejadian obesitas siswa sekolah dasar di kota Medan. Jenis penelitian ini adalah kuantitatif dengan desain penelitian cross sectional. Populasi dari penelitian ini adalah anak sekolah dasar di Kota Medan dan sampel dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa sekolah dasar sebanyak 309 siswa kelas lima sekolah dasar di Kota Medan. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan menggunakan kuesioner kepada siswa sekolah dasar untuk menilai peran guru dan pengukuran antopometri IMT/U untuk tingkat obesitas. Analisis data yaitu univariat, bivariat dengan uji chi square.Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa peran guru tidak berhubungan dengan kejadian obesitas anak sekolah (p=0,713). Terdapat hubungan antara perang orangtua dengan kejadian obesitas (p=0,016). Diharapkan kepada guru untuk memperhatikan siswa sekolah dasar yang obesitas dengan mengawasi kebiasaan makan anak yang berlebihan dan meningkatkan aktivitas fisik anak.
