Prosiding “Archipelago Engineering” adalah prosiding yang diterbitkan oleh Fakultas Teknik Universitas Pattimura, sebagai sarana publikasi hasil Seminar Nasional "Archipelago Engineering (ALE)", yang merupakan dari hasil penelitian, studi kepustakaan dan sharing dalam bidang teknik mesin, teknik industri dan teknik kelautan serta teknik sipil dan perencanaan wilayah. Prosiding ini memuat artikel yang belum pernah dipublikasikan sebelumnya yang berupa artikel hasil penelitian ataupun penelitian terapan, artikel telaah yang berkaitan dengan perkembangan teknologi. Informasi tentang pedoman penulisan artikel dan prosedur pengiriman artikel terdapat pada setiap penerbitan. Semua artikel yang masuk akan melalui “peer-review process”. Artikel dipublikasikan pada Prosiding, setelah memenuhi persyaratan sesuai pedoman penulisan artikel dan telah dipresentasikan pada Seminar Nasional ALE. Prosiding ini diterbitkan dalam setahun sekali.

The operation of fishing vessels skipjack pole and line contributes in catching tuna and skipjack fishes particularly in Indonesian waters. A previous study conducted by the authors found that there was no suitable method provided for the resistance computation atearly ship design phase. Besides, there was aninitial trim existed on the vessel during the operation which contributes for the resistance. The purpose of the study is to find the difference of resistance between the model test and the existing methods. The study was executed also to find the effect of initial trim of the vessel. The study began with collecting the database of a parent ship then to develop and transform into a model-scale for testing purpose in the towing tank. The results of model test were converted to the full-scale vessel. The resistance of full-scale vessel was computed based on the Holtrop and Guldhammer methods. The result of full-of resistance obtained from the model test and the methods were collected, evaluated and compared. The results showed the difference of the resistance for all methods. The result of model test is greater 21 % than that of Holtrop method at the service speed of 10 knots. Meanwhile, the result of model test is lower 14 % than that of Gulhammer method at the same speed. In addition, at the speed of 10 knots the initial trim of 0.5O increase 5 % ofthe resistance, the initial trim of 1O increase 10 % of resistance and the initial trim of 2O increase 16 % of resistance compared to the vesselwithout initial trim. In conclusion, the existing resistance methods are not suitable to be applied for skipjack pole and line fishing vessels. In addition, the initial trim contributes to increase the resistance and should be avoided during the vessel operation.

Zink anodes are very importantfor reducing the corrosion rate on underwater surface area of hull plates. Zink anodes are affixed to parts of the vessel that are prone to seawater corrosion. This study aims to find out how much influence the installed current has on the corrosion rate by analyzing the data on the use of zink anodes in the field and the data on the use of zink anodes as a result of calculations so that the use of strong currents installed according to the need will reduce the rate of corrosion. To see the strong influence of current on the rate of corrosion, it takes data on the corrosion rate of the last 5 years from 9 vessels and also the number of zink anodes used each year. From the graph of the results of the calculation of strong current according to the theory and the results of the use of zinc anodes on nine vessels, the results obtained it is clear that the installed current strength must meet the needs of each vessel because it will affect the decrease in corrosion rate. On vessel No.3, an excess current strength of 0.539Amp to 1,386 Amp, a decrease in corrosion rate reaching 0.0317 mm/year in the 5th year. On vessel No. 4, an excess current strength of 0.444 Amp to 1.822 Amp there is a decrease in corrosion rate reaching 0.0138 mm/year in the 5th year. On vessel No. 9, an excess strong current of 4,894 Amp to 5,793 Amp there is a decrease in corrosion rate reaching 0.0371 mm/year in the 5th year.

Patrol boat is designed not to be slow in its movement on the water surface. To be able to move quickly and agilely, the most important requirement for this type of ship is in its maneuverability. The ship's motion at sea (seakeeping) is influenced by several things, speed, body shape, and the direction of the ship's heading waves. In this study, we analyze the six degrees of freedom, especially on the response of the ship's vertical movement, namely rolling on the sea waves of Seastate 7, especially in extreme weather in the South China Sea. The standard limit used is NORDFORSK 1987 with Light Manual Work Criteria. By entering parameters such as variations in speed and wave angle, such as 0°, 45°, 180° and 270°, then from the graph it can be seen the critical value for each movement. The calculation is carried out with the help of computational software Maxsurf Motions Advanced 20 V8i. The results of this study are the maximum roll movement value that occurs at a speed of 14 knots with a wave angle of 45° with a roll angle value of 6.40o. Furthermore, there is a decrease in the value of the movement along with the increase in the speed of the ship. The minimum roll value occurs when the wave angle is 270° when the ship's speed is 28 knots with a value of 5.69o.

Ketinting boat in operation using propeller with engine located on deck. This position resulted in the propeller dipping by making a certain angle, in addition the depth of the propeller also overlapped the speed of the ship.This phenomenon is something very important to be examined with the aim of obtaining maximum speed in relation to the angle of tilt of the propeller and the amount of maximum thrust required.The method used is an experimental method in which the model of the ship and propeller are made according to the desired scale, and so conduct testing on the towing tank.The test result obtained is a slope that creates the optimal speed of the ketinting boat is at a slope of 18° with a speed of V = 5.05 knots and a maximum thrust of PT = 13.15 kW.

The fishing operation of ring trawlers in Banda Sea waters is a promising potential with abundant fish stocks. However, fishing ground conditions with extreme weather greatly affect fishing operations because they are not supported by adequate fishing facilities. In general, ring trawlers are made in a traditional way, with hereditary experience. The shipbuilding greatly affects the operational characteristics of fishing, especially when setting fishing gear, pulling nets with catches from the sea, and when ships departing to and returning from the fishing grounds. This study aims to analyze the stability parameters of the ship so that it can improve fishing operations and ensure the safety of fishermen. The method used in this research is descriptive method. Analysis of the stability parameters refers to the design regulations of the Fish vessel. The results showed that the characteristic parameters of the ratio of the width and height of the deck (L/B) were 93%, GM 62.23%, TR 35.55% less than the technical design standards so that it greatly affected the stability of the ship during fishing operations.

In general, fishing fleets operating in Maluku waters and managed by local entrepreneurs consist of monohull and trimaran fishing vessels with outriggers. Monohull fishing vessels have limited deck space and poor transverse stability, while trimaran-type vessels have better deck space and transverse stability than monohull vessels, but because they are still in the form of outriggers, the space is limited. This study aims to examine the development of the trimaran fishing vessel in terms of energy requirements, safety, and comfort of the crew during fishing operations. The initial stage of this research begins with data analysis and the basic size of monohull fishing vessels operating in Maluku waters, from this data the shape of the trimaran hull is designed. Calculation of resistance using CFD, then analyzed the calculation of resistance and stability, safety, and comfort of the ship using Maxsurf. The drag Trimaran is 8.86% smaller than a monohull and 3.25% smaller than a catamaran. Energy Usage (EHP) is proven by trimaran ships more than other ship modes. The average trimaran period is 10.5 seconds which meets IMO standards and is declared operationally good.

The Covid-19 pandemic has caused the Anugerah Poka workshop to experience a decrease in the number of customers. To maintain its existence, the Anugerah Poka workshop needs to design a strategy, by looking for the suitability of its internal and external strengths. This study aims to design a business development strategy for the Anugerah Poka Workshop using the Fuzzy-SWOT method. The fuzzy-SWOT approach is used to eliminate various structural weaknesses of the SWOT method. The results showed that the strategy that the Anugerah Poka Workshop had to develop was to keep prices low compared to other competitors. The next strategy is the expansion of services in the conditions of the Covid-19 pandemic, in order to continue to increase the existing market share. The following strategy is to improve service while continuing to keep prices low and provide excellent service to customers.

This study discusses the selection of wood raw material suppliers using the AHP-F method. Problems by UD. Bless Furniture is the difficulty of determining which supplier has good performance in terms of price, quality, service, delivery, quantity determination, location as well as guarantees and claims. With many competitors and different raw material prices from each supplier. Many raw materials such as wood cracks are hollow and broken at the ends of the wood, the color of the wood, and the shape of the wood. Delivery plans that are often complained by companies where delivery is not according to the schedule in the agreement. The results of data processing carried out by the AHP fuzzy method show that the criteria that become a priority in supplier selection are the price criteria which have a weight of 0.47. By taking into account the seven criteria above, it is obtained that the supplier recommended being prioritized as the best supplier based on the highest priority weight, namely supplier C with a weight of 0,39 then supplier A with a weight of 0,37 and the third is supplier B with a weight of 0,24.

This study aims to develop an optimization model for solving the insular cost minimization single-tour travel problems. The model was developed using an integer non-linear programming approach by considering the selection of departure and arrival points of an island, selecting accommodation points, selecting transportation mode departure schedules, and selecting travel routes both within islands and between islands. The cost components considered include inter-island travel costs, land travel costs, costs at selective points, and costs waiting for departure. A numerical experiment was conducted on the case of planning a tourist route in Maluku, Indonesia. The departure day scenario is built to find out the exact route and schedule on each day of departure with a minimum total cost. In addition, comparisons were also made to the results obtained in the time minimization model that was introduced earlier. The results showed that the model can adapt through variations of solutions to changes in the given parameters and objectives.

UD Sinar Baru has eucalyptus oil products with various sizes from 30 ml to 550 ml, and the size of 550 ml is the most consumed eucalyptus oil product. However, this product has been criticized by consumers for its packaging which has not met their expectations. This study aims to obtain an accurate method of classifying consumer sentiment and obtain features that affect the redesign of the 550 ml eucalyptus oil product packaging. Collecting data using an online survey method from social media Facebook to get consumer comments using power queries. Data analysis uses the concept of the Support Vector Machine (SVM) method with the support of the WEKA application to provide sentiment analysis and accuracy of consumer comments. The results of the study present the tendency of comments on each attribute with an assessment of 83% accuracy for the entire class, 3% for positive class comments, and 57% comments for negative class. The sentiment that shows the packaging tends to be normal at 20% which is interpreted as neutral. The conclusion from the results of this study is that SMO has a very accurate prediction rate to analyze consumer sentiment about the features of the 550 ml eucalyptus oil packaging, and it is necessary to redesign the current packaging by considering the features of shape, color, size, and efficiency.
