Abstract

This paper presents the result behavior of two different type of Concrete Filled Tubes: Rectangular Concrete Filled Tubes (RCFT) and Circular Concrete Filled Tubes (CCFT). In this model, the column end is fixed and the axial load, Paxial, are applied to the column end. The amount of axial load is divided into 5 steps, which increasing continuously. The dimension of the column is 300x300x10 for RCFT and 300x10 for CCFT. As the results, stress distribution, load-deformation curve, load-stress curve, and weight calculation are compared. And it shows that the CCFT gives better performance than the RCFT.

Abstract

Shielded Metal Arc Welding (SMAW) was widely used in industry for joining AISI 1045 steel because this method was simple, in-expensive, and the device is portable. This researched aimed to analyze the effect of variations in welding current towards material strength and corrosion rate of AISI 1045. Welding current that been used as variations in this study are 100, 110, and 120 Ampere. This research was conducted using tensile test on the weld area and immersion around the weld area in NaCl solution with 0.4% concentration. From the research that conducted, it is known that increasing in welding current made the yield strength, tensile strength, and fracture strength of material also increased. This phenomenon also happened for elongation of material in weld area. With increasing the welding current then the elongation of material also increasing. Another aspect that researched in this paper is the effect of welding current toward corrosion rate of material. From the result, it was known that increasing welding current made corrosion rate of material became faster.

Abstract

To find the value of employee achievement requires several aspects such as intelligence, aspects of work attitudes, and behavioral. The initial stage of the process is to find the difference between employee and position profile that has been determined by the company where it is called GAP. The next step is to determine the weight of each gap value in three aspects. We multiply the value of 60% for the value of the main factor and 40% for additional factors then add up the two factors to determine the total value. The three factors are assessed based on the percentage determined by the company, namely 25% Intelligence Aspect, 35% Behavioral Aspect, and 40% Work Attitude Aspect. The final results are ranked, and then top ranking is achieved until the last employees who occupy the position of Project Supervisor are employees with ID number: kka_0001. For employees who are likely to fill the position of Purchasing & Logistics are employees with ID number: kka_0040. For employees who are likely to occupy the Estimator position are employees with ID number: kka_0036. For employees who fill the Project Manager position are employees with ID number: kka_0055.

Abstract

Seloatap River is a creek of Brantas River passing through Galengdowo Village, Wonosalam District, Jombang Regency. The majority of people in this area work as farmer and cowman. Unfortunately, its waste of farming has not been well-managed yet. Therefore, a study on the status of river water quality by IP (Index of Pollution) method based on The Ministerial Decree of Environment No. 115 in 2003 and The Government Regulation No. 82 in 2001 is necessary. This research aimed at mapping the results of analyzing the water quality status and pollution load of Seloatap River. This research was carried out in three phases i.e. preliminary survey, river water sample collection, and data analysis. The preliminary survey was for investigating Galengdowo Village location, pollutant type entering the river, river location, and coordinate data collection when the water of Seloatap River was taken. Meanwhile, the sample collection aimed at investigating the pollutant contents that were tested by some parameters namely DO, pH, TSS, BOD, COD, and Total Ammonia (NH3-N). The last, data analysis was for analyzing the obtained data to yield a map. The results of research demonstrated that the calculation using IP method gained from 0.63 (fulfilled the quality standard) to 5.33 (medium pollution).  Accordingly, the mapping process of pollution load and water quality status of Seloatap River indicated that this river was in polluted condition and had high pollution load resulted from farming sector.

Abstract

AbstractThe Darrieus turbine is used as an ocean current converter to generate renewable electrical energy. One way to improve turbine performance is to determine the optimal pitch angle. Therefore, the purpose of this study was to determine the optimal pitch angle of the NACA 0018 airfoil with angle variations of -6°, -2°, 0° and 2°. Numerical method with the help of Ansy Fluent software was carried out for the construction of the turbine. The result of this research is that the angle of 2° produces the largest coefficient of power and torque compared to other angles. This happens because the direction of the lifting force on the forward airfoil is in accordance with the rotation of the turbine. Keywords: Ocean Current, Turbine, Pitch Angle

Abstract

This study aims to identify and systematically compare the main large-scale agile frameworks that companies can adopt to manage the work of large-scale and distributed teams. Through this, companies can more consciously perform a better-informed decision on the choice of the framework that best fits the practices and challenges of their organizations. This work employs a qualitative approach supported by an exploratory analysis that identifies and explores the processes of migration to a large-scale agile. In the first phase, fifteen assessment criteria for scaling agile are discussed. In a second phase, these criteria are used to perform a comparative analysis of six large-scale agile frameworks (i.e., DAD, LeSS, Nexus, SAFe, Scrum at Scale, and Spotify). The findings reveal there isn't a dominant large-scale agile framework in all dimensions. However, it is possible to identify frameworks like Nexus and Spotify that target smaller teams and offer low technical complexity. These frameworks easily accommodate changes, while there are other frameworks like SAFe and DAD that offer high levels of scalability but require more demanding and deep efforts in changing work processes in an organization.

Abstract

AbstractHousing demand continues to increase along with the increase in economic activity and the number of residents in the city of Balikpapan according to the 2017 Central Statistics Agency as many as 636,012 people to 645,727 people. The increase in housing demand is driven by the community's perspective that home ownership must be met while housing availability is limited. Based on the Balikpapan City Government in the 2012 Regional Spatial Plan, the plan to develop a spatial pattern of cultivation areas is more directed towards the north and east parts of the city so that population growth and development are not concentrated in the city center. This is a challenge for housing providers to meet the needs of long-lived communities and migrant communities by building housing located in the East of Balikpapan City as a place to live. The increase in land prices is so high in Balikpapan due to the movement of the capital from Jakarta to East Kalimantan, making housing prices also higher. The limited land owned by the housing developer must be utilized as well as possible for the construction of housing units, construction of facilities, and the existence of green space in the housing according to government regulations related to Balikpapan City RTRW. Land owned by housing developers that vary in shape is extremely limited with the type of house being built also varies and the price of the unit offered is different for each unit. For this reason, the developer must be able to optimize the production of the type of house that will be built based on government regulations and the National Spatial Plan, optimizing the land to get the optimum profit. This optimization uses the assistive application of QM for Windows and obtained 98 units for type 40/120 and type 45/120 for 102 units with optimum profit yielding Rp 104,292,098,201 for the BEP method. Keywords: Optimization; QM For Windows; Unit.
