Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the social solidarity and social actions of the Balinese transmigrant community in Ngkari-ngkari. The subjects in this study were Balinese transmigrants in Ngkari-ngkari as many as 10 (ten) people, 1 (one) local community and 1 (one) other transmigrant community. The research approach used is a qualitative approach. The research objective used was descriptive. While the basic research used case study method. The results of the study show that the social solidarity of the Balinese transmigrant community can be categorized as organic solidarity where this solidarity can be seen in the division of labor and is based on a high level of interdependence. The shift of mechanical solidarity to organic solidarity occurs because of the pattern of adaptation and following the times so that people change their livelihoods, from farmers to formal jobs. The driving factor for solidarity is because religion becomes very dominant in creating social solidarity. The inhibiting factor for solidarity is modernization because in the era of modernization all activities carried out have turned to technology and then lead to materialism. The social action of the transmigrant community is oriented by religion and value rationality. For example, in Hindu holy festivals and other activities required by Hindus, such as cutting teeth, 3 monthly children and Ngaben. Keywords: Social Solidarity, Social Action, Transmigration

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to determine the social conditions of street vendors after the covid-19 pandemic and describe the impact of covid-19 on the welfare of street vendors in Maros Culinary Tourism. The subjects in this study were the street vendors in Maros Culinary Tourism as many as 6 people and 1 from the Department of Culture and Tourism of Maros Regency. The research approach used was qualitative, which starts with the data and leads to conclusions. The purpose of the research used was descriptive, namely to make a systematic, factual and accurate description of the existing phenomena, or the relationship between the phenomena studied without any special treatment. The research base used was the case study method which aims to collect and analyze a certain process related to the research focus. Therefore, it can find a certain scope. The results of the study showed that the social conditions of the street vendors after the COVID-19 pandemic have changed greatly as a result of policies made by the government, namely the lack of income that affects the fulfillment of daily needs. In strong social relations when working together, supporting each other, while weak when unhealthy competition arises, there is jealousy regarding the implementation of policies that are not comprehensive. The process of adaptation occurs related to the schedule of opening and closing in culinary tourism areas, that is the occurrence sales arrangements issued by authorities and the integration process. The social impact of the closure and social restriction policies is the limited socialization process that creates problems and social relations even become competition and conflict between traders because of these policies The impact of culture on changing habits is from conventional (face to face) to online with delivery policy. The economic impact is a condition of reduced income and narrowing the space to work in culinary tourism because they are no longer able to open so they are forced to lay off employees or close street vendors' stalls so they look for other alternative jobs such as vegetable sellers, online shops, and barbers. This research uses descriptive qualitative research based on case study research with 6 subjects consisting of BST beneficiaries, urban village officials, and BST beneficiary families in Tamamaung Urban Village. Based on the research results, it was found that the implementation of BST in Tamamaung Subdistrict, Panakkukang Subdistrict, was not going well in general, it could be seen from the lack of socialization to the community so that they did not know about the procedure requirements and criteria for the people who received the BST. And data verification was not carried out because, using DTKS data from the Ministry of Social Affairs and the data used were no longer relevant to current conditions, as a result many poor people did not get BST. And also there is no fixed schedule for disbursement which results in the disbursement process not running properly. Abstract

This article aims to identify and analyze (1) parenting patterns in Bugis culture in relation to the views of Bugis parents in child care. The results show that parenting patterns for children in Bugis ethnic families, especially in Makassar City, have now undergone changes or shifts and even value adjustments to modern values both in form and nature. Some of the factors that caused this to happen were (1) factors of change and differences in times from the previous generation, (2) psychological factors of children, and (3) factors of binding legislation. The implementation of Bugis ethnic values such as Siri' and Mappatabe' is still being applied by the Bugis family but the values seem to have adjusted to the new values that were born by the modernization of technology, information, and communication. The parenting pattern of the first-generation Bugis ethnic family tends to be authoritarian, while the second generation tends to lead to a democratic parenting pattern. Keyword: parents, parenting, transformation.
