Abstract

This research is an applied research that aims to determine the clusters of areas affected by floods in bone regency. This study user the K-means method in clustering flood data in 2020 and 2021. The data is grouped based on the number of families affected and the resulting damage. In determining the number of clusters to be used, this study validated 3, 4 and 5 clusters using the davis bouldin index (DBI) validation in determining the best cluster. The results of this validation resulted in the best number of clusters, namely k=4 for 2020 data with a minimum DBI of 0,73 and k=4 for 2021 data with a minimum DBI of 0,44. After clustering, the cluster number for data for 2020 from the firs to fourth cluster member are 34, 7, 2 and 3 sequentially, while the data for years 2021 sequentially are 3, 22, 3 and 1. Then the cluster results are displayed in a spatial form that is created using ArcGIS.

Abstract

The Covid-19 pandemic has entered its third year and still shows no signs of ending, this is due to the low compliance to health protocols which is influenced by individual assessments of the risk from Covid-19 itself. This study aims to determine the relationship between Covid-19 risk perception and health protocols compliance of Universitas Negeri Makassar students. This research uses quantitative methods. Respondents in this study were 211 students at Universitas Negeri Makassar. Hypothesis testing in this study using Product Moment. The results of the hypothesis test showed a correlation value of r = 0.563 with a significance value of p = 0.000 (p < 0.05). This means that there is a relationship between the Covid-19 risk perception and health protocols compliance of Universitas Negeri Makassar students. The correlation value shows a positive value which means that Covid-19 risk perception and health protocols compliance is positively correlated and is in the moderate category. The positive correlation value indicates that the higher the students Covid-19 risk perception, the higher the health protocols compliance. Conversaly, the lower the Covid-19 risk perception that students have, the lower the health protocols compliance. This research contributes to the fields of Social Psychology and Political Psychology related to student reactions and behavior in pandemic situations.

Abstract

Motivation to recover is the client's drive to achieve recovery. Meanwhile, social skills are the client's ability to interact with other individuals in an effective way. In the process of achieving recovery, individuals need to have social skills in order to get good relationships with other individuals so that they feel owned and valued. This study aims to determine the effect of social skills on the motivation to recover rehabilitation clients. This research uses quantitative methods. This study involved clients at the BNN Baddoka Rehabilitation Center, Makassar City (N = 66). The sampling technique in this study used saturated samples. The measuring instrument used is a scale of recovery motivation and social skills compiled by the researcher. Data analysis used is simple regression through SPSS 22.00. Data analysis obtained a significance value (p) of 0.017 (p < 0.05), so Ha was accepted with an influence of 8.6%. The results of this study indicate that there is a positive relationship between social skills and motivation to recover in clients. This research has implications for the fields of social psychology and health psychology and is useful for the psychological well-being of clients in undergoing a rehabilitation period.

Abstract

This research is a descriptive qualitative research that aims to analyze the profile of students' mathematical spatial reasoning abilities in cubes and blocks in terms of adversity quotient in class IX at SMP Negeri 1 Galesong Utara. The research subjects consisted of three students who were selected based on their scores on the adversity response profile (ARP) questionnaire: one subject AQ climber type, one subject AQ camper type, and one subject AQ quitte type. Next, the researcher asked spatial reasoning ability test questions on cubes and blocks and conducted interviews with each subject. The spatial reasoning ability profile refers to three indicators: spatial visualization, mental rotation, and spatial orientation. The results showed that (1) AQ climber type students had good spatial visualization skills in turning block images into cube nets, AQ climber type students had good mental rotation skills in rotating cube images up to 180 degrees, AQ type climber climber students had good spatial orientation ability in determining an image that was not a beam view from the front. (2) Camper-type AQ students have good spatial visualization abilities in changing block shapes into cube nets; camper-type AQ students do not have good mental rotation skills in rotating cube shapes as far as 180 °, and camper-type AQ students have the ability to define an image that is not a frontal beam view. (3) Quitter-type AQ students did not have good spatial visualization skills in turning block images into cube nets, quitter-type AQ students did not have good mental rotation abilities in rotating cube shapes as far as 180 °, and quitter-type AQ students did not have good spatial orientation capabilities in determining images that were not a beam view from the front.
