Abstract

Legal protection for tumor surgeons in facing chemotherapy side effects in breast cancer patients is essential in contemporary medical practice. This study employed a narrative method and legal approach to explore the legal protection available to tumor surgeons in addressing risks and side effects during chemotherapy services. The narrative method was used to explore the role of the law in protecting tumor surgeons and providing a clear framework for addressing side effects in chemotherapy services. Literature analysis regarding medical practice standards, professional responsibilities, and relevant legal cases were used to formulate a comprehensive perspective of this legal protection. The research highlights the need for meticulous documentation of procedures, risks, and patient consent before undergoing chemotherapy. Additionally, legal protection also depends on adherence to applicable medical practice standards and effective communication between tumor surgeons and patients. In conclusion, the understanding of tumor surgeons is needed for the legal implications of their medical practices, including in the context of chemotherapy services. Thus, the use of narrative methods in this study provides valuable insights for tumor surgeons to protect themselves and provide safe and quality services to breast cancer patients.

Abstract

This research aimed to classify the structural forms of utterances in locutionary acts, illocutionary acts types, and the impacts of perlocutionary acts on the students in EFL (English as a Foreign Language) classrooms. This research used qualitative research to analyze the data. The subject of this research is a teacher who actively teaches in the English and Literature Department, at Universitas Islam Negeri Alauddin Makassar. Data were collected through observation checklists in the classroom and semi-structured interview with the teacher. The results showed that based on finding by Yule’s theory, the researcher found three forms of locutionary acts used by the teacher in the teaching and learning process, such as declarative form, imperative form, and interrogative form. Second, based on Searle’s theory, the researcher found the types of illocutionary acts produced by teachers during the teaching and learning process, namely representative (explaining, informing, announcing), directive (commanding, requesting, asking, suggesting), expressive (greetings, thanking, praising), and commissive (assuring, undertaking, promising). Third, based on the utterances performed by the teacher in the EFL classroom process, the researcher found perlocutionary acts such as the students asking questions, and doing something. The research concluded that language has a function in the speech act especially for facilitating communication skills of language learning and shaping the classroom dynamic.

Abstract

This research aims to determine the effectiveness of Pro-Environmental Behavior intervention in improving ecological behavior. The interventions provided are in the form of psychoeducation and individual tasks related to aspects of pro-environmental behavior which include recycling, energy conservation, and vicarious social behavior towards conservation. This research uses a quasi-experimental method with a one-group pretest-posttest design. Sampling was carried out using a purposive sampling method which was determined through inclusion and exclusion criteria. The participants selected in this study were 8 members of Fishing Community X who showed low ecological behavior as measured by the General Ecological Behavior Scale (GEB). The data analysis used in testing the pre-test and post-test data was the paired sample t-test. In this study, t-count > t-table was obtained, namely 8,683 > 2.365. The results of this analysis show that pro-environmental behavior interventions have proven effective in improving the ecological behavior of research participants through providing psychoeducation and activities that provide benefits to the environment.

Abstract

This study aims to determine and analyze the implementation of Surakarta City Regional Regulation Number 7 of 2023 concerning the Implementation of Housing and Settlement Areas and to determine and analyze the challenges and obstacles faced by the Surakarta City Government in fulfilling the right to housing and settlement areas in Surakarta City. The research method used is a non-doctrinal research method or empirical research using descriptive research. The approach used is a qualitative approach. The types of data used are primary and secondary data. Primary data collection techniques through interviews with related parties to examine the problems that occur while secondary data through literature studies in the form of official documents or books. The results showed that the implementation of Surakarta City Regional Regulation Number 7 of 2023 concerning the Implementation of Housing and Settlement Areas has not fully reflected the fulfillment of the right to housing and residential areas as evidenced by the fact that there are still illegal settlements whose ownership legality is still not guaranteed. The cause of the unfulfillment of the right to housing and residential areas is the limited land in Surakarta City which is increasingly limited while the need for housing is increasing and the price of land is increasing as well as the limited budget of the Surakarta City Government to meet the housing needs of residents who are still affected by illegal settlements and residents' awareness of maintaining settlements so that they do not return to slums after the instrument from the government. Therefore, there needs to be a deep seriousness given by the Surakarta City Government regarding the implementation of Surakarta City Regional Regulation Number 7 of 2023 concerning the Implementation of Housing and Settlement Areas in order to uphold the fulfillment of rights for low-income people and people affected by illegal settlements.
