Abstract

Individual differences in education explain differences related to students' differences in thinking, feeling, and acting in the same class. The purpose of writing this article is to explain how individual differences in learning and education understand the uniqueness of each individual. This research method uses literature study to examine through writings from books about individual differences. Research result There are three aspects of individual differences that must be considered by teachers and principals in a teaching and learning process, which include biological differences, intellectual differences, and psychological differences. On individual differences, the efforts that must be made by teachers in the classroom include using (1) improvement programs, (2) enrichment programs, (3) acceleration programs, (4) individual learning programs, (5) programs that specialize children for independent learning. Every educator needs to have knowledge of educational psychology. The conclusion is Educational psychology is a branch of psychology that specializes in understanding teaching and learning in an academic environment. Educational psychology has an extensive scope. The central problem in educational psychology is the problem of learning. On individual differences found differences between one individual and another in terms of personality and intelligence

Abstract

Since the emergence of coronavirus disease (COVID-19) in Indonesia, Indonesian people have begun to show symptoms of anxiety and unrest in their days. It is also demonstrated by the community of Kerinci Regency and Sungai Penuh City so that the attitudes and behaviors indicated the signs of stress. This research aims to reveal the stress level of the people of Kerinci Regency and Sungai Penuh City against the spread of COVID-19. This research is early to uncover the stress data of the community by utilizing a descriptive quantitative study. The population of this research is the entire community of Kerinci Regency and Sungai Penuh City. They are willing to become respondents with a sample of 400 research people taken with convenience sampling techniques. Data is revealed using a scale of stress levels filled online and made anonymously; then, the research results are processed using the ideal score. This study showed that the average community of Kerinci Regency and Sungai Penuh City addressed the symptoms of stress analyzed from the emotional, physical, and behavioral responses. The results of this study suggest that counselors and psychologists take preventive measures to reduce the stress of the community by working with local governments.

Abstract

  Education is part of a long way trip to a career. Education is also a significant element of one's efforts in preparing to enter the world of occupations. The suitability of employment with the state itself is believed will bring them a better life in the future. More specifically, for high school students, a decision on the selected type of education has direct implications for the career, office, or aspiring to a career after completing his studies at the level of education he passes. The results of this study indicate that the three hypotheses tested significantly correlated. There is a significant correlation between students' motivation and learning achievement in career planning. These findings suggest that students' motivation for school and learning achievement can not be ignored in addition to other variables that are suspected of having links with the planning of career direction. The supervising teacher has expected to develop through a credible form of counseling program activities more effectively and creatively as well as provide career information to students in planning a career direction

Abstract

Several factors influence student career planning. This study aims to describe: 1) socio-economic conditions of the family, 2) career planning, and 3) the role of family socio-economic conditions on students' career planning. This research method uses qualitative research with a case study approach. Research informants are school counselors, students, and parents of Junior High School 4 Sungai Penuh. Data were collected through interviews. The data analysis technique uses Miles dan Huberman data reduction, data display, data conclusion, and verification. The data validity technique uses triangulation. The results of this study revealed that: 1) students continue their education depending on the socio-economic conditions of the family, 2) the career planning of students according to their talents and interests, 3) the socio-economic conditions of the family significantly affect the career planning of students

Abstract

This study aims to determine the relationship between self-concept and self-efficacy in job readiness in class XII students at SMK Negeri 5 Kerinci. This research is a type of quantitative research with a correlational approach. The number of samples in this study was 59 students from class XII. The instruments used to collect data in this study were the scale of work readiness, self-efficacy, and self-concept. The data was processed using the Multiple Regression analysis methods with the help of a computer through the SPSS Version 21 application. The results showed that the correlation coefficient between self-concept and work readiness was 0.804 with a significant value of 0.000 <0.05, which means a positive relationship between self-concept and work readiness with a strong relationship level. Furthermore, the correlation coefficient between self-efficacy and work readiness is 0.846 with a significant value of 0.000 <0.05, which means a positive relationship exists between self-efficacy and work readiness with a strong level of connection. Then the value of the correlation coefficient (R) between self-concept and self-efficacy on readiness is 0.859 with a significance value of 0.000 <0.05. This shows a robust relationship between self-concept and self-efficacy in the work readiness of class XII students at SMK Negeri 5 Kerinci. The value of R^2 (R square) of 0.738 means that the percentage contribution between self-concept and self-efficacy to work readiness is 73.8%

Abstract

This research is motivated by the lack of collaboration between Guidance and Counseling Teachers and Subject Teachers in overcoming learning difficulties experienced by students. This study aims to determine the form of collaboration carried out by the Guidance and Counseling teacher with subject teachers in diagnosing learning difficulties in the form of 1) identifying students who have learning difficulties, 2) determining the location of students' learning difficulties, and 3) determining the factors causing the occurrence. Learning difficulties in students. This research uses a descriptive qualitative method. The key informants of this study were two counselling teachers and two subject teachers; additional informants were two teachers who taught in class XI IPS at SMAN 13 Padang. This study uses interviews as a technique for collecting data. Data analysis consists of three stages: data reduction for grouping data relevant to the research objectives and focus, data presentation, and conclusion. The study results revealed: 1) Collaboration between counselling teachers and subject teachers in identifying students with learning difficulties, namely providing information and discussing the data collected to determine students who have learning difficulties. 2) Collaboration between guidance and counselling teachers and subject teachers in determining the location of student learning difficulties, namely exchanging information and communicating informally in determining how to locate student learning difficulties. 3) Collaboration between guidance and counselling teachers and subject teachers in determining the factors causing student learning difficulties, namely conducting discussions, counselling, and discussing. The results of this study are recommended for counselling teachers to collaborate with other parties such as subject teachers, school principals, parents, and other parties to overcome students' learning difficulties
