Abstract

Disinfectants are products used to kill microorganisms inside or on the surface of an inanimate object. One of the plants used to kill microorganisms is Gotu Kola (Centella Asiatica (L.) Urban) and Aloe Vera. This study aims to determine the effectiveness and at what concentration the combination of Gotu Kola and Aloe Vera herb extracts can be used as a natural disinfectant. The research was conducted using an experimental method by counting the number of colonies before and after disinfection on a dinner plate. The results showed that the calculation of the percentage reduction in the number of germs on the dinner plate after disinfection using Aloe vera obtained the results of 44.6% at a concentration of 25%, 89.2% at a concentration of 50% and 95.3% at a concentration of 100%. While the percentage reduction in the number of germs on the dinner plate after disinfection using a combination of herb extracts of Gotu Kola and Aloe Vera with a ratio of 1: 2 obtained results of 73.3% at a concentration of 50% and 93% at a concentration of 100%. The combination of Gotu Kola and Aloe Vera extracts can be used as a natural disinfectant at a ratio of 1: 2.

Abstract

Placement of a ventricular catheter in a VP shunt or EVD is a very important life saving measure, done correctly, safely and quickly. This action needs attention because the components of the ventricular catheter are considered as the most common cause of mechanical failure in cases of shunt malfunction. The characteristics of the research variables will be presented in the form of concentration values and data variations, while the bivariate data will be analyzed using the t test to analyze the difference in the average coronary suture distance determined using the conventional method and the morphometric method. Significance was determined based on the p-value which was ≤ 0.05 and a confidence interval (CI) of 95%. An observational study was carried out in the operating room of Semen Padang Hospital in hydrocephalus patients who had a VP shunt installed, a sample of 40 patients was collected, then analyzed computerized to present the characteristics of the research subjects. The mean age of patients who underwent VP shunt installation was 46.13 + 125 years. The mean size of the patient's head circumference was 55.60 + 1.297 cm, while the average size of the patient's nasion-POE anatomy was 33.38 + 1.030 cm. The mean thickness of the patient's scalp was 7.73 + 0.679 mm. The average size of the coronary suture anatomy from the patient's orbital rim is 11.81 + 0.443 cm, with a difference in the measurement accuracy of conventional suture identification which is 8.13 +4,43 mm. Meanwhile, the mean difference in size accuracy of morphometric identification of sutures was 6.63 + 6.18 mm. The variable size of the patient's head circumference was normally distributed (p = 0.077), the anatomical size variable of the nasion-POE was normally distributed (p = 0.061), the variable size for scalp thickness was also normally distributed (p = 0.102), the variable size of the coronary suture of the orbital rim was distributed was normal (p = 0.072), the variable difference in the accuracy of the conventional method of identification was normally distributed (p = 0.114) and the difference in the measure of the accuracy of the identification of the morphometric method was also normally distributed (p = 0.084). The difference in mean coronary suture identification size between the conventional method and the morphometric method was 1.475 + 0.107 cm, meaning that there was a significant difference in the mean coronary suture identification size between the conventional method and the morphometric method with a p value <0.001. The mean difference in the difference in the size of the coronary suture identification between the conventional method and the morphometric method was 1.500 + 1.202 mm, meaning that there was a significant difference in the mean difference in the size of the coronary suture identification between the conventional method and the morphometric method with a p value <0.05. The morphometric method in identifying coronary sutures has a greater percentage of accuracy and is closer to the actual size of the coronary sutures.

Abstract

Malaria is a vector borne disease that can affect morbidity and mortality, especially in endemic countries. Malaria cases worldwide in 2017, 219 million cases vector-borne in 2017-2020. Southeast Asian countries especially Indonesia contributed to high cases due to the presence of endemic diseases which were confirmed first by Indonesia at 49.6%, second country India at 36.4%, and third country Myanmar, at 11.5%. The purpose of the surveillance is to find out the malaria control vectors in the area, such as the integration of malaria managers into post-malaria elimination. This study uses observational methods and direct collection of primary or current data specimens. The results of observation showed that there were 3 islands, detected to contain Anopheles Sp. Tidung Island, Lancang Island, and Untung Jawa Island. From the results of observations, it is necessary to provide integration of malaria vector managers in post-malaria elimination, immediately carried out so as not to cause new cases or extraordinary events that were not initially detected, resulting in extraordinary events even though the area has implemented malaria elimination.

Abstract

Study results conducted at the Health Center Mpunda obtained data from 10 primigravida pregnant women who experienced emesis during the COVID-19 pandemic. There were 4 people with positive behavior in facing emesis gravidarum during the COVID-19 pandemic and 6 people with negative behavior in dealing with emesis gravidarum during the COVID-19 pandemic. Research This is descriptive quantitative research.Method study This is a descriptive usage. In research, a sample of up to 10% of the population, or 42 people, is used, with the sampling technique being random.study This is based on secondary data from notes taken at the Mpunda health center during the COVID-19 pandemic about a number of primigravida mothers who experienced emesis gravidarum.Study This was done using instruments such as a questionnaire containing statements (positive and negative) about behavior and dealing with emesis gravidarum during the COVID-19 pandemic, which totaled 15 questions. The majority of primigravida pregnant women at the Mpunda health center are between the ages of 17 and 25, accounting for 92.86% of respondents; distribution education accounts for 76.19% of respondents. Category No Work, which is as high as 64.29% of respondents, and the behavior of primigravida pregnant women experiencing emesis during the COVID-19 pandemic at the Primary care Mpunda in 2021, which is as high as 100%.

Abstract

Young people have a high level of health risk as they are undergoing rapid physical and mental changes. Therefore, it is crucial for young people to get accurate information and understanding about health. Adolescent integrated healthcare centers play a critical role in assisting youth in obtaining the necessary health information and knowledge and reducing youth health risks. Adolescents can get accurate health information and knowledge through health education programs and other services provided by integrated healthcare centers, which also serve to reduce adolescent health risks. Adolescent Posyandu can benefit most from this study's advice about how to increase their knowledge and understanding of health risks. Despite the fact that a comprehensive information-dissemination plan is required, young people must be made aware of the facilities and services offered by an integrated healthcare center for adolescents in order to draw them in for health-related consultations. Government and community support are crucial for bolstering and enhancing the services offered by an integrated healthcare center for adolescents.
