Abstract

Abstract- The research is motivated by the increasing needs of the community will be honey, especially honey forests believed to have the quality to maintain good health. The amount of honey on the market are not guaranteed authenticity. This requires a study of the quality of forest honey produced, particularly in some areas of West Sumatra. Quality honey can be determined by several parameters, one of which is of value owned viscosity of honey. This research is a descriptive study conducted in a laboratory data collection Material Physics and Biophysics Faculty UNP and School Laboratory Chemical Analyst (SMAK) Padang in May to July 2012. The samples were examined in this study is a honey of a few areas in West Sumatra include Agam District, Tanah Datar regency Sijunjung, Solok and Padang Panjang City as independent variables and the dependent variable viscosity grades. Each sample was measured viscosity values ​​using Ostwald viscometer. The results of measurements of viscosity grades of honey obtained as follows: honey from 8.3754 Poise Agam District, Tanah Datar at 17.5646 Poise, Poise District Sijunjung at 10.9615, 17.9445 Solok for Poise, and City fields lengths at 3.4588 Poise. Viscosity grades of honey derived from Solok, Tanah Datar regency Sijunjung and has a value greater than the Indonesian National Standards (SNI), which according to the ISO viscosity grades of honey are at least 10 Poise. Abstract

Landslides have the potential to occur in the Kelurahan Balai Gadang of padang. The landslide should be minimized by knowing slip surface. For this reason, the aims of this research was to find the location of the area which the potential for landslide occurs. The research is descriptive using method Geolistrik Resistivity Schlumberger configuration. Data were collected by Automatic Resistivity multielectrode in 4 lines. The interpretion of the data  used Smothness-Constarint Least Square inversion with the help of Res2dinv software. Based on the structure of the obtained rocks, it is estimated of slip surface and depth of slip surface. The results showed that the slip  surface  found at coordinates one, two, and four with resistivity   from 59.9-170 Ωm, 78.5-225 Ωm and 91.0-236 Ωm... Keywords: slip surface, Schlumberger, Geolistrik

Abstract

Padang city waste removed and processed in Air Dingin Landfill, Balai Gadang Village, Kecamatan Koto Tangah. On the location of the Landfill there were rivers used by residents for daily needs. Leachate generated from Landfill cast into the river can contaminate the River, which that cause the river’s water black and smelling. This research aims to determine the type of magnetic minerals in Leachate in the Air Dingin Landfill city of Padang, as an indicator of water pollution by leachate. This research uses the 6 samples taken from samples of the sediment pond, sediment River and sediment sewers on Air Dingin Landfill. Instruments used for sampling is Ekmam Grab. Types of magnetic mineral samples are specified by giving a magnetic field toward the sample using the method of Isothermal Remanent Magnetization (IRM) with instruments Electromagnetic Weiss. Data analysis was done with a given magnetic field of plotting for the intensity of magnetization of the sample which has reached saturation and compared to a standard curve of the IRM for viewing different types of magnetic mineral magnetite or hematite. The value of the magnetic field of the sample measured experiencing saturation at the time value is smaller than 300 mT. Saturation curve based on IRM mineral types in a sample of leachate, rivers and sewers Air Dingin Landfill city of Padang in the majority is the mineral magnetite (Fe3O4)

Abstract

Thin layer is a layer made of very thin material with a scale between nano and millimeter. To get a good quality coating, there are several methods that can be used, one of which is the screen coating technique. Screen Coating technique is a coating technique by pouring percusor and then swept it using a rubber rack. In the Screen Coating technique, the size of the substrate used depends on the design made, so that the substrate can be larger than the size of the Dip Coating and Spin Coating substrate. Speed and pressure are very much against the coating produced and for the speed used by Arduino Uno. This research is an experimental study, while this study describes the design specifications and performance design of a Screen Coating tool. Performance specifications describe the performance of the screen coating, while the design specifications explain the accuracy and accuracy of the screen coating. The measurement technique used is direct and indirect measurement. Data obtained directly from the pressure, then data from indirect measurements obtained by analysis of the accuracy and accuracy of the pressure. Based on the results of research that has been done, obtained accuracy from a pretty good pressure with the largest percentage of 2% and an average accuracy of 99.01%. The accuracy of the pressure is quite good, with an average error percentage of 1.66% and an average accuracy of 99.2%.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect variations composition of Palm Empty Fruit Bunch (EFB) and wood dust on the physical properties and mechanical properties of particle board. Particle board is made from EFB fiber and wood dust and added 30% adhesive. each particle boards have various compositions. In this study, the independent variable in the form of variations in the composition of the EFB fiber and wood dust that is 20: 80%, 40: 60%, 50: 50%, 60: 40%, 80%: 20%. The dependent variable in the form of physical properties such as moisture content, density, and mechanical properties such as flexural strength and compressive strength.. In general the values obtained physical and mechanical propertiesare density, flexural strength, compressive strength which is optimal in the variation 50% EFB : 50% wood dust, but the moisture content obtained optimal value at variation 40% EFB: 60% wood dust. All fulfill the SNI standard except for the value of the flexural strength

Abstract

v>Low cost and precise is a concern in developing instruments for thin-film manufacturing. In this paper, alow-cost dip-coating instrument based on Raspberry pi will be presented. In this work, Raspberry Pi 3 wasadopted as a microcontroller for digital data processing. In addition, this tool is also equipped with a user-friendly interface system that is easy to operate by the user. An addition, the Python programming language is also adopted in the development of programming on the Raspberry Pi 3. Furthermore, the Raspberry Pi is alsoneeded to build an interface on the tool with the Qt designer framework. The results of device configurationssuch as withdraw speed and immersion time can be stored in the data logger system that has been developed inthis equipment. The performance and characteristics of the equipment have been tested and produce excellentcharacteristics and performance that meet the criteria for the production of thin film. Based on the results, a dipcoating based on Raspberry pi can be applied to the production of thin film in nanomaterial technology.

Abstract

Measurement of magnetic fields is important because many objects are magnetic and rewarding life. One thing that is both magnetic and used in this study were iron sand. To measure the magnetic field of an object fluxgate sensor is needed to detect the magnetic field. Fluxgate sensor is a magnetic sensor that works based on changes in the magnetic flux around the sensor element. The purpose of this study is to explain the function of each part of the gauge and determine the linearity and accuracy of the measuring instrument. Measuring instrument fluxgate magnetic field sensor based consists of two essential parts, namely the elements of the fluxgate sensor and its supporting series consisting of power supply circuit, signal processing circuit, and a microcontroller circuit. After the measurements are obtained linearity of the current magnetic field in the solenoid is 0.990. While the accuracy of the tool through a calculation 0.998. Abstract

Development of science and technology can’t be separated from physics. Basically physics is born and grow doing by experiments. For more accurate results of the research, required experiments with the level of high accurate. In the laboratory, experimental linear expansion is analog. Results of analog eksperiment has an error. This research has purpose for determine the performance specifications and desain of digital microcontroller atmega328. Based on research results obtained, first meansure of  experiments digital linear expasion process in output sensor and changing obtained with the expected output. Result of experiment digital is displayed with LCD. Sensor used is LM35 temperature sensor of metal, brass, and iron. Second, experiment digital for linear expansion has the percentage of precision in brass, iron, and aluminum respecteli is 97.58%, 95.92%, and 97.98%. While for precision is 0.97, 0.95, and 0.97

Abstract

Physics experiments have a very important role. The most important thing that must be considered in conducting physics experiments is the set of experiments. One of the physics experiments that has been developed is the experimental set of simple harmonic motion in pendulum but not yet completely complete. The research that will be conducted is a type of R & D research with a 4D model. Where the 4D development model has 4 stages, define, design, develop and dissemination. The measurement technique used is direct and indirect measurements. Direct measurement is done to determine the angle used. Indirect measurements are made to determine the number of oscillations of pendulum (n), period (T), and length of rope (l). Data obtained through measurements in the form of data accuracy and accuracy and analyzed in two ways, namely statistically and graphically. So that the average accuracy is 98.60% and the average accuracy is 0.997 with a validity level of 86.66%.
