Abstract

In the education sector of South Solok District, it is still lagging behind other regions in West Sumatera, this can be seen from the results of the UN rankings in 2016 which is ranked 16th out of 19 cities / districts in West Sumatera. Based on observations and discussions conducted on some teachers and principals, information is obtained that this is because in learning students are more likely to wait what is delivered by teachers or learning is still concentrated on the teacher. Then in learning the teacher has not used various media of learning. The media used can not accommodate the fact of the student's daily condition. This service activity aims to improve the competence of teachers of South Solok SMP in developing contextual based learning media with scientific approach. Target to be achieved is the improvement of competence of teachers and media of learning. To achieve the objectives and targets set, the methods used consist of six stages: observation stage, orientation and discussion stage, preparation stage, implementation stage, monitoring and evaluation stage and final stage of data analysis and report generation. Based on data analysis of pretest and posttest results, obtained an increase of average value from pretest that is 43,07 become 47,42 at postest. Furthermore, to know the difference between the two values of pretest and postes paired t test, obtained the results of significance 0.000 < 0.05, so it can be concluded that there is a difference between pretest results with postes. Furthermore, based on the questionnaire given at the end of the training activities, the results obtained that the participants said this activity is very useful and related to the subjects taught in schools

Abstract

Graduated in formal education who have good character, good spiritual and social attitude, knowledge and skillful were needed in globalization era. In fact not all of graduated students were capable competitedzation era. This condition was caused by character value and other science didn’t integrate in learning process yet. An alternative solution to solve this problem was applied the ICT woksheet by integrating Mathematics, Science, technology, disaster, and character value (MSTDC). The purpose of this research were to determine the competency of the Physics students and to investigate the effect of ICT woksheet by integrating MSTDC to the competency of Physics students grade XI  at SMAN 1 Lubuk Alung. The population of quasi experimental research were the students grade XI MIA SMAN I Lubuk Alung in the 2014/2015 academic year. Sampling was taken by purposive sampling technique. The research instrument were the test sheet for competency domain of knowledge, observation sheet for competency domain of attitude, and performance sheet for competency domain of skills. Based on the data analysis could be presented the conclusions of this research. First, there was significant differention competency of students between two sampling classes that were in same condition, except the worksheet which was used. Second, the use of ICT worksheet by integrating MSTDC gave significant effect toward Physics competency of students grade XI at SMAN 1 Lubuk Alung

Abstract

        Low competence of Physics one of which is caused by the lack of observation of physical phenomena through laboratory activities. This study aims to determine the effect Observation student worksheet Against Assisted Physical Symptoms Student Competence Achievement in Physics Lesson in Class X SMAN 3 Padang. Type of research is a quasi experimental design. The population was all students of class X SMAN 3 Padang enrolled in the Academic Year 2015/2016. Sampling was done by cluster random sampling technique. Samples were class X MIA 5 as an experimental class and class X MIA 6 as the control class. The research data covers the competence of three aspects is attitude, knowledge, and skills. The research instrument is observation sheet for the aspect of attitude, achievement test on knowledge and performance assessment form for the skill aspect. Data were analyzed using two similarity test average on the real level of 0,05. Based on data analysis competence Physics students on aspects of attitudes, knowledge and skills of the experimental class respectively 85,86; 71,28; and 88,69 is higher than the control class that is 82,12; 61,37; and 85,63. The result of the equality of two average by using the t test, obtained t count for each aspect of attitude, knowledge and skills that is 2,43; 4,33; and 6,94. Abstract

Physics is an important in learning school. Physics also can foster thinking skills of learners useful to solve problems in everyday life. With this basic, learners should master the physics well. Reality shows low learning outcomes of students. One solution to the problem is an interesting teaching materials and related to everyday life, so the purpose of the study was to investigate the influence of Physics leaflets oriented contextual learning strategy for the competence of students of class X SMAN 4 Padang. The research is a form of quasi-experimental design with randomized control group. The study population was the students of class X SMAN 4 Padang in the second semester of Academic Year 2015/2016. The sample of the research use purposive sampling. Data Physics research is an achievement of competencies learners. Data Physics research is an achievement of competencies learners. Competence competence learners include attitudes , knowledge , and skills. Competence attitude is measured using observation sheets, competency knowledge using a written test and skill competencies measured using performance assessment rubric. The data obtained is converted to the value of the score and then performed a descriptive statistical analysis , normality test, homogeneity , and two comparative test average. Based on data analysis that has been done, it can be argued these results. As a result of the research is application -oriented Leaflet contextual learning strategy provides significant influence on the attitude of competence, knowledge, and skills at the level of 95 %. Therefore Leaflet physics oriented contextual learning strategy is best applied to support learning in high school Physics

Abstract

The purpose of learning Physics is to develop knowledge and train students’thinking ability. It can occur when teachers actively engage the students in the learning process (student center). Therefore, teaching  materials that can improve students’ competence is needed, such as worksheet.This research was aimed to produce a content complexity and cognitive process oriented worksheet, which is valid, practical, and effective to be used in teaching and learning Physics at SMA/MA. The type of the research was research and development with 4D development model (define, design, development and desseminate), which is reduced to be 3D. Desseminate phase was not implemented due to time and budget limitation. The research subject was a class of students. Moreover, the research procedure included front-end analysis, students’ need analysis, task analysis, concept analysis, learning objectives analysis, test preparation, media selection, format selection, making draft, expert validation, product revision, and limited testing. Further, instrument used for data collection was a validation sheet, sheet practicalities, students’ responses questionnaire also pretest and posttest. The result of  this research, which is about content complexity and cognitive process oriented worksheet in material about forces on the elastic material, can be presented in two studies. First, worksheet is developed using the 4D model with the findings’ guided model syntax containing scientific approach. Second, the worksheet produced is located in the criteria of very valid and very practical to be used in teaching Physics with the respective  values3.43 and 3.45 also effective to improve the knowledge of students.

Abstract

Implementation of 2013 curriculum requires continuous and integrated evaluation instruments with the  other sciences for learning. Generally, integrated and continuous evaluation instruments are not implemented in the school. One of solution that can be done to overcome this problem was to make the learning evaluation instruments with integrating MSTDC based on ICT. The purpose of this research was to determine the validity, description, practicality, and effectivity  of  learning material with integrating  relevant knowledge and skills  based on ICT.  The  kind of this  research  was  research and  development  (R&D)  with  before-after experi ment  design. Object of this research was  learning material with integrating MSTDC based on ICT. The instru ments  that  used to collect data are validity sheet, practicality sheet, learning outcomes test sheet. There are two results  of the data analysis.  First, a description of the learning evaluation instrument integrates MSTDC based on ICT is valid with an average value of 93.6. Second, the use of learning evaluation instrument integrates MSTDC based on ICT in the assessment of learning outcomes is a practical physics characterized by the average value of the results of responses Physics teacher as a practitioner is 87.96 and the average value of student responses as well as the user is a 82.6 effective for used as an evaluation tool

Abstract

Achievement of student physics competence in SMAN 7 Padang is still not maximal. The lack of competence is caused by several factors, these are the lack of student activeness during the lesson, less learning to apply the Physics concept, the limited availability of textbooks, the teaching materials used are not yet optimal in associating Physics with other knowledge and less varied methods. One solution to solve the problem is to apply teaching materials to integrate other Science Mathematics Disaster and Character Technology (MSTBK) by using Problem Based Learning (PBL) model in learning. The purpose of this research is to know the influence of teaching materials to integrate other Science Mathematics of Disaster and Character Technology (MSTBK) using Problem Based Learning (PBL) model to the achievement of Physics Competency of grade X SMAN 7 Padang students. The type of this research is a quasi experiment with Posttest-Only Control Group Design research design. The population of the study was students of class X MIA SMAN 7 Padang registered in academic year 2016/2017. The sample was taken by using purposive sampling technique. Analysis of the data for the knowledge competency test of equality of two average and split-plot analysis of variance (spanava) with graphs for competence attitudes and skills.Based on data analysis that has been done, got result for each student competence as follows: first, at attitude competence obtained fh = 2,41 and ft = 4,75 and skill competence obtained fh = 4,1 and ft = 7,17. This means that teaching materials integrating other Science Mathematics of Disaster and Character Technology (MSTBK) in the Problem Based Learning (PBL) model does not have a significant effect on students' attitude and skill competencies. Second, the knowledge competence obtained th = 2.12 and tt = 2.00. Based on the data analysis, it is found that there is a significant influence on the use of teaching materials to integrate other Science Mathematics of Disaster and Character Technology (MSTBK) in the Problem Based Learning (PBL) model to the achievement of Physics knowledge competency of grade X students SMAN 7 Padang

Abstract

The learning to make the students active, fun, and develop the character’s values need to be done. In reality, many students do not like Physics learning. The alternative solution that can be done is by applying  student worksheet which orientated to the genius learning strategy by integrating character’s values. Purpose of this research is to investigate the effect of student worksheet  that orientated to the genius learning strategy by integrating character’s values towards student’s achievement in  Physics learning in grade X of Senior High School Adabiah Padang. This research was a quasi experiment research. Randomized control group only design was the model of this research. The population of this research was all the students of grade X Senior High School Adabiah Padang who registered in the second semester in the year of 2013/2014. Sample of this research was gotten by applying purposive sampling, two classes was choosen that was X6 as experiment class and X5 as control class. The instrument was test for cognitive domain, observation sheet for affective domain, and worksheet’s assessment for psikomotor domain. The data analysis use compare mean test that was test t in the real level 0,05. The result of research showed that the mean of students in experiment class in each domain was higher than control class. It was the effect of using student worksheet that orientated tho the genius learning strategy by applying character’s values towards student’s achievement in learning Physics. It can be concluded that student worksheet which orientated to the genius learning strategy by applying character’s values towards student’s achievement in Physics learning was influential in teaching and learning process in grade X of SMA Adabiah Padang

Abstract

Curriculum of 2013 requires science learning is implemented in an integrated teaching. However, the reality in schools shows that the integrated science learning isn’t implemented well yet. The solution of this problem is to  develop an integrated science teaching material which orient contextual learning to improve students’ literacy. The purpose of  research is to determine validity, practicality, and effectiveness of integrated science teaching material. The type of this research is Research and Development (R & D). The object of the research was integrated science teaching material which orient contextual learning. Instruments to collect the data consist of validition sheet, practicality test sheet, and effectiveness test sheet. Techniques of data analysis were descriptive statistics analysis, graph method, and correlation compare mean test. Based on data analysis it can be stated that two of research results. First, integrated science teaching material which orient contextual learning was very valid with an average value of 83.2. Second, implementation of integrated science teaching material which orient contextual learning was practice according teacher and students with average value respectly of 90.0 and 83.5. Besides that, implementation of integrated science teaching material which orient contextual learning was effective to improve the competence of attitudes, knowledge, and skills. Students skills consist of  functional literacy, scientific literacy and visual literacy

Abstract

Learning according to the 2013 curriculum requires teachers to develop the quality of learning, especially in the use of teaching materials of physics learning. By using teaching materials students are more able to learn independently according to the activities in these teaching materials. The purpose of this research is to design the instructional materials based on inquiry, to find out the design of the inquiry-based teaching materials and the value of validity. Inquiry-based teaching materials can develop students' mindsets so that students can find concepts or materials learned so that students can shape their thinking skills. Type of research used is Research and Development (R & D) The object of this study is teaching materials based on inquiry. Based on data analysis obtained from 2 research. The first is the design of instructional materials based on inquiry. The second, the average value of expert validity with a value of 88 with criteria is very valid. It can be concluded that inquiry-based teaching materials have high scores with very valid categories for use in teaching physics class X SMA
