Abstract

Teachers have an important role in education. To support it, teachers should have good profess sionalism especially in writing articles. In fact, many teachers are not proficient in writing articles because they do not have enough knowledge about it. Teachers need such training for increasing their experience in writing. After that, the progress will be seen. The research method is descriptive quantitative. The data in this research is quantitative data. The type of data is the primary data.         A data collection technique in this study is questionnaires. Data processing techniques used include editing, coding, tabulation, and scoring. Data analysis technique is descriptive analysis percentage. After doing the training, the teachers have more knowledge and interest of writing articles.

Abstract

Experiment is important in physics to explain and describe a physical phenomenon and its characteristics. For this reason physics teachers should conduct the physics experiment activities to motivate students in learning and to improve scientific process skills, scientific attitudes, and student understanding in physics learning. However, in the experiment activities of physics were found many problems such as experiment equipment was insufficient, there is no equipment, equipment can’t operated well, and so on. An alternative solution to solve this problem was to do the video analysis and modeling tool tracker on physics teacher. The purpose of this research was to investigate the effects of the implementation the tracker video analysis and modeling tool on physics teachers. The research design was pretest and postest for one group sample. The sample of research was 26 physics teachers of Physics MGMP teacher in Agam district of West Sumatera. Instruments to collect the data consist of pretest and postest sheet, performance assessment sheet of video analysis product and questionnaires sheet of physics teachers. Data analysis techniques include descriptive statistical analysis, normality test, homogeneity test and paired comparison test for one group sample. From the data analysis, it can be stated that: 1). the average value of video analysis products from physics teachers is 85.10 and this value can be classified into very good category, 2). the average value of responses of physics teachers on training implementation of video analysis and tool modeling is 73.81 and this average value can be grouped into good category, and 3). the implementation of video analysis training of object motion video by using tracker software is effective to improve the understanding the physics MGMP teachers in Agam district on learning material of tracker video analysis and modeling tool, but the average value of understanding still in the low category.

Abstract

Permasalahan utama dalam penelitian ini adalah belum tersedianya instrument kecepatan tendangan pencak silat yang berbasis teknologi. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah menciptakan instrument kecepatan tendangan berbasis teknologi. Penelitian ini merupakan kelanjutan dari penelitian sebelumnya yang menghasilkan desain rancangan instrumen yang telah teruji secara empiris. Metode penelitian dalam penelitian ini adalah penelitian pengembangan dan mengadopsi model Borg and Gall. Hasil uji reliabilitas yang menggunakan teknik test and retest, yaitu 0.671 pada kelompok sampel kecil dan 0.746 pada kelompok sampel besar sehingga diperoleh hasil memiliki kriteria yang “kuat”. Persentase kecepatan reaksi akurasinya adalah 99. 334 persen, untuk kecepatan aksi adalah sebesar 99.288 persen. Hasil analisis Ini menunjukkan bahwa alat yang dikembangkan memiliki tingkat akurasi tinggi, dan layak dipergunakan sebagai instrumen kecepatan tendangan pencak silat.

Abstract

Edupark is a park with a variety of rides and ecosystems that can be used as a learning tool. Ngarai Sianok, Bukittinggi is a national Geopark area that has a nature tourism vehicle and Minang Fantasy (MiFan) Padang Panjang Water Park is an artificial tourist game vehicle. In general, visitors to attractions only take advantage of the natural landscape or a vehicle to take photos, sports such as jogging, hiking, camping, family gathering or low impact outbound. Without them knowing it, there are many physics concepts in both natural and artificial games that can be used as learning resources by integrating into high school physics learning in the form of physics teaching materials or integrated in learning models. However, there are actually educa-tional values, especially the physical concepts contained in the game. The purpose of this study is to integrate Edupark Ngarai Sianok and MiFan Water Park because it remembers so many Physics concepts found in natural or artificial tourism. The process of collecting data through observation and study of literature. The results showed that Edupark physics could be integrated in learning physics according to the 2013 curriculum

Abstract

The objective of this research is to determine both performance and design spesification of Salinitymeter and Turbiditymeter. This system combined from several sub systems such as electrode and Light Dependent Resistor (LDR) sensor, microcontroller Arduino, Liquid Crystal Display (LCD) and Light Emiting Diode (LED) indicators.  The variable of this research are salinity and turbidity. The result of this research divided in two parts. The first is performance spesification, this system using copper electrode as salinity sensor and LDR as turbidity sensor. This consist of two plastic box which are circuit box and sample box. The second is design spesification that consist of some data such as accuration and precision. Salinity measurement has accuration 95.71% with precision 97.22%, Turbidity measurement has 96.25 % of accuration and 97.69% of precision.Key words: salinity, turbidity, electrode sensor

Abstract

The purpose of this research was to design a system of determination of the static friction coefficient of the object on inclined plane digitally. The purpose of this research is to explain the performance specifications, accuracy and precision of the system. There were three main results of this research. Firstly, the system was designed with the surface of the slip object size 8,7 x15 cm and glide plane 9 x 100 cm. Secondly, the average of accuracy relative accelerometer sensor was 95,58%. Abstract

Experiment of free fall motion is one of phenomena in physic. Parameters of free fall motion still measured by stopwatch and meter. The purpose of research is development of free fall motion experiment set based on microcontroller with personal computer display. This instrument have highest precision and accuration. Average of measured result is 9,821 ± 0,025 with average of precicion relative is 98,3% and average accuration is 0,992.Key words: free fall motion, microcontroller, pc

Abstract

In this work, viscosity experiment system based on personal computer and microcontroller MCS-51 has been developed. The new model of viscosity experiment system is purposed to perfom the time and viscosity calculation automatically on the personal computer. The graph and statical analysis are used to determine characteristics of LDR sensor and experiment system such as sensitivity, accuracy, and precision. There were four main results of this research as follow : 1). LDR sensor resistance decreased with increasing light intensity and sensitivity of sensor was  -11,55.(I)-1,56, 2). The comparator output voltage are two condition depend on light intensity, below 400 lux the output voltage is 4.54 Volt and for above is 0.59 Volt, 3). The accuracy and precision average of system timer was high, each of it was 99.9% and 0.97, 4). Ability of system to determine the value of the liquids viscosity has been tested and obtained three results for glycerin, SAE40 Oil, and cooking oil which the value of each sequence are 1121.99 mPas, 795.08 mPas and 79.78 mPas. Based on repeated measurement in viscosity, the precision of system have been obtained which average 0.994.    Key words: viscosity, personal computer, microcontroller, sensitivity, accuracy, precesion

Abstract

Temperature control system was an important instrument to control temperature of an object at setpoint temperature and many applications in human life. Investigation of control system was required to get high quality of system. Purposes of this research was: to investigate relation between output voltage of sensor and signal processing circuits with temperature, to determine number that presented at digital display as function of temperature, and to determine accuracy and precision of temperature control system. The research can be classified into laboratory experimental research. Data collecting technique that used in this research was direct measurement. Variables that measured temperature, output voltage of sensor, and output voltage of amplifier circuits, while gradient of straight line and static characteristics were measured indirectly. The data that  founded of measurement result was analyzed  by using graph and error analysis. Graph analysis was used to determine measurement error, accuracy, and precision of control system. There were four main results of this research as follow: 1). Output voltage of sensor  increase directly proportional with temperature and sensitivity of sensor was 0,042 Volt/oC, 2). Output voltage of differential and non inverting amplifier  also directly proportional with temperature, each of  it’s gradient was 0,0091 Volt/oC and 0,0248 V/oC, 3). The number that displayed at seven segment before linearization process directly proportional with temperature and after processing the number at digital display was suitable with temperature that measured by standard digital thermometer, and 4). The average of accuracy and precision of temperature control system by using microcontroller with thermocouple  sensing was high, each of it was 0,9967 and 0,997 in order of least significant scale was 1 oC. Abstract

Students' critical thinking skills are still not optimal. One of the reasons is the use of teaching materials in the form of student worksheets that are not yet in line with the good student worksheet structure, do not yet contain the STEM approach, and critical thinking indicators have not been clearly illustrated in the student worksheet. The purpose of this study is to determine the validity of the LKPD, determine the practicality and effectiveness of using student worksheet Physics based on the STEM approach that can improve students' critical thinking. This type of research is research and development (R&D) using the Borg & Gall model which consists of the initial research and information gathering stage, planning, developing the initial product format, and initial trials. As the object of research is the Physics student worksheet based on the STEM approach. Data collection instruments used were expert validation sheets, practicality test sheets, and effectiveness test sheets. The effectiveness test uses an assessment sheet of learning outcomes tests and observation sheets of students' critical thinking. The data analysis technique used is the analysis of the validity of the Physics student worksheet, the practicality analysis of the use of the Physics student worksheet, and the effectiveness analysis of the use of the Physics student worksheet. Based on the analysis of the data that has been done, two research results can be put forward. First, the average value of the validity of the Physics student worksheet based on the STEM approach is 0.88 and this value is included in the valid category. Second, the average value of the practicality test for the use of Physics student worksheet by teachers and students respectively 91.44 and 84.14. This value shows the Physics student worksheet is in the category of very practical. Besides that, the use of Physics student worksheet based on the STEM approach is effective to improve students' critical thinking
