Abstract

Background: Stunting is a condition of failure to thrive and chronic nutritional problems caused by inadequate nutritional intake due to providing food that is not in accordance with needs over a long period of time. Stunting in toddlers will have a bad impact if it is not addressed immediately. Stunting can be caused by several factors such as inadequate nutritional intake from the womb until the age of 2 years or the first 1000 days of birth, recurrent infections and low birth weight, as well as a lack of maternal knowledge. Methods: The research design in this article is a literature review, by searching several literature sources in the form of research journals and determining the journal as health education, maternal knowledge and stunting in children under five. The selected research journal summarizes the research design, research description, variables and research results. Results: Based on research results from several journals, there is a significant increase in maternal knowledge between before being given health education about stunting and after being given health education. Conclusion: Maternal knowledge has an important role in preventing stunting in children under five. Mothers who understand what stunting is can provide adequate nutritional intake for their toddlers to avoid stunting

Abstract

Background: The causes of the birth of Low Birth Weight (LBW) babies vary greatly, many references state that it is related to maternal hypertension, maternal nutritional status, maternal age and the number of previous births the mother has had. This research aims to determine the relationship between factors that influence LBW and the incidence of LBW. Method: This research uses an analytical survey with a cross sectional approach. The number of research participants was 80 postpartum mothers who were taken using a simple random sampling technique. Data analysis was carried out using regression logistics. Result: The results of statistical analysis using the logistic regression test showed that there was no significant relationship between nutrition (0.101), age (0.447) and parity (0.681). The results of logistic regression analysis showed pregnancy hypertension (p=0.000). There is a relationship between pregnancy hypertension and low birth weight. Conclusion: The research results showed that pregnancy hypertension is the dominant factor in the incidence of LBW so that during pregnancy it is hoped that pregnant women can control pregnancy hypertension with pharmacological or non-pharmacological therapy.

Abstract

Background: Relapses in schizophrenia sufferers still occur frequently, so sufferers have to undergo a re-treatment process. Relapse in schizophrenia has a major impact on sufferers, families and health services. Lack of family support and patient non-compliance in taking medication are the most common factors in relapse. Methods: The method used in this writing is a literature review study. The library sources used came from Pubmed, Searchgate, and Google Scholar which were published from 2015 to 2020, and manually selected articles that were relevant or in accordance with the research questions. Results: Family support and medication adherence influence the relapse of schizophrenia sufferers. Family support provided is in the form of informational support, assessment support, instrumental support and emotional support. Non-compliance with taking medication in schizophrenia sufferers is caused by limited costs, drug diversity, drug side effects, and family attitudes that are not open. Conclusion: the influence of family support factors on schizophrenia recurrence is very high because the higher the support provided by the family will increase coping and motivate sufferers to recover quickly from their illness. The influence of adherence to taking medication in schizophrenia sufferers is very high because sufferers who do not comply with taking medication are more at risk of experiencing a relapse compared to sufferers who adhere to taking medication. The most dominant factor influencing recurrence is compliance with taking medication
